D&D 3.5e Overhaul/Homebrew

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Howdy hi!! Shut-in world builder wizard here, just looking for cool people to bring to me and friends' online table for a bespoke variation of 3.5e D&D that focuses less on min-maxing/power-scaling and more on curiosity of the player, experimentation and a whole new toy box of fresh mechanics to dive into! Some of those mechanics share DNA with 5-5.5e concepts and might be familiar to players coming in from the most recent editions, and others have been forged from the mad scientist lab sessions of me and mine over several campaigns! We've got weird new races--psychic plant people, immortal deer fey, juggernaught dwarf-orc hybrids, sentient amnesiac undead, need I go on?! We've got intriguing reworks on old classics-- broad new specialization AND generalization options for casters, exciting new martial feats for bruisers of all types, and much needed re-balances for the discrepancies between Druid and Ranger! We've got an in-house, homemade character sheet template made in Microsoft Excel that tracks your bonuses, debuffs, gear weight, weapon rolls and all your stats in real time! We've got an entirely homebrewed, simple to understand, elemental damage counter system with a table of effects that completely turns the nature of how players and enemies utilize different damage types on its head! All this, and a chill, low-stress, inclusive table of nerds too! Sound good? Then give the profile a poke, and come see if your new favorite homebrewed TTRPG system will be ours! =)

Welcome to Vaeloria!

Welcome to Vaeloria! Generations ago, the Underfolk rose up in a crusade that failed. What followed was worse than the war itself: subjugation under House Xanos, a wound that still hasn't closed. Some Vaelorians have grown kinder to the Underfolk races over he years since, but many haven't. Beneath the surface of every gleaming city, from Eryndell's towers of scholarship, to Thalor's living canopy to Vaeloris Prime's golden halls, something is not quite right. But you don't know any of that yet. Right now, you're just trying to survive a forced labor camp you shouldn't be in. A stranger has given you a piece of paper, asking to meet with a few others in the common room that night.  What to expect: - A homebrew D&D 5e (2024 rules) campaign blending political intrigue, personal stakes, and genuine moral grey areas - Combat that hits hard, mysteries that reward paying attention, and choices that don't come with a clearly right answer - A slow-burn story, secrets are meant to be uncovered, not handed to you This campaign will include a lot ot homebrew items and monsters.

Chrome Fires Burning: a Cities Without Number cam

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
LGBTQ+ friendly
The table is openly welcoming to LGBTQ+ players.
Looking for players for a CWN campaign tentatively titled “Chrome Fires Burning.” Voice is on Discord, VTT will probably be roll20. Everyone is welcome, the only rule is don’t be a dick. Games will be Sunday nights at 9PM CST Elevator pitch is as follows: The year is 2072. In 2025 the development of a new drug, ephemerol, lead to unbelievable advances in cybernetics and technological implantation. Able to bridge the gap between the nervous system and machine circuitry, ephemerol was hailed as a miracle drug, ushering in a new age of transhumanism However, before this new technological golden age could be upon us, it was smothered in the cradle by corporate greed. A jealousy guarded secret, the corporations who developed it held the formula for the miracle drug hostage, demanding corporate sovereignty in exchange for granting access to the masses. A combination of public promises, lobbyists, and paid politicians ensured this deal went through The gift became a double edged sword as the drug was distributed, only working with the cybernetics supplied by those corporations granted sovereignty, allowing them to gobble up more and more influence, to the point that entire cities have become little more than corporate towns, beholden to the companies that own them Within these sovereign territories, anything that threatens the bottom line is meet with brutal consequences. The workers who decided to rise up, to unionize, were branded criminals and domestic terrorists, locked away if not executed in a back alley Public utilities have been sold off little by little, leaving those who refuse the hand of the corporations with rapidly dwindling resources. The once mighty governments of the world now forced to bend the knee to the oligarchs Gangs run rampant, acting with impunity as long as their dues are paid, or left to their own devices due to lack of resources to stop them Despite this turmoil, there is new opportunity. Companies now fight a desperate war for market share, managers willing to pay to sabotage one another for the next promotion. Money talks, and right now, it’s screaming Chicago is one such battleground. Built into a shining edifice as the headquarters of several massive corporations, it now resembles a patchwork of countries, as each corporation claims sovereign territory within the blocks of city property it lays claim to. A hub of trade even in this time, boardroom battles spill out on to the streets, bullet and blade picking up where ink and negotiation fail

Spinward Vanguard: a punk space opera

The worldbuilding is mostly based on Stellaris (a toolboxy 4X video game), but I have zoomed into the gritty aftermath of the galaxy where every endgame crisis has already happened and the political structure has collapsed. The Stormtossed Commune At the start of the campaign, players will belong to the Stormtossed Commune. We are fanatic egalitarian and xenophile space pirates operating with the "shared burdens" civic. The Commune was founded 100 years ago by pirates who rebelled against a slaver megacorp called Minamar Specialized Industries. It is currently led by our First Speaker, Nightshade, a non-binary punk rocker who, in addition to governing, takes on a lot of odd jobs around the commune, from veterinary medicine to spaceship maintenance (and always seems to know exactly what they are doing). The Setting & The Threat The Stormtossed founded their commune in a remote location on the planet Breakwater. It sits on the edge of The Indigo, a storm of unnavigable psionic chaos that destroyed a star-faring civilization of space elves called the Isilfar Republic. Now, The Indigo has cleared, revealing the ruins of that society and its incredibly valuable "pre-tech" technology from before the collapse that current manufacturing infrastructure can no longer produce. A megacorp alliance called the Prosperity Axis (including Minamar, Harmonium, and Providence) is looking to exploit the newly opened Isilfar Spinward Frontier. The Stormtossed are in their way, sitting on a planet that would make a highly valuable beachhead. Your Mission Nightshade has gathered a crew of adventurous experts to go into the frontier and find lost technology that could help the Stormtossed resist and disrupt the megacorps and their exploitation. Captain Bax will be leading them as captain of The Vanguard.

Throne of Solaris

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
The Throne of Solaris The golden spires of Hellios still catch the morning light, just as they have for a thousand years. The Sun Banner still flies above the Imperial Palace. The hymns of the Church of the Sun still rise from a hundred temples. Outwardly, the heart of the Solarian Empire beats as it always has. But the Sun-Blood no longer sits the throne. Emperor Aurelius, last living descendant of the Sun God in the direct line, lies silent in the Solar Chamber. Physicians, priests, and arcanists have come and gone. None can wake him. None can even name the strange lethargy that holds him. Until he recovers—or until the bloodline is secured—the empire cannot rule itself. The Imperial Council has therefore invoked the ancient right of Regency. Five names now stand before the empty throne, each backed by power, gold, steel, or faith: Edward, Duke of Gryphon — Master of the Merchants’ Guild and Head of the Librarium. Leontis, Viscount of Neolum — Son of the Archon and Grand Crusader of the Church of the Sun. Septimus, Prince of the Capital District — Captain of the Royal Guard. Stephan, Archduke of Ironheim — Master of the Forges and champion of the common folk. Zadakiel, Marquess of Fellgahv — Head Justiciary and Grand Master of the Order of the Black Wing Knights. Each claims the right to speak for the sleeping Emperor. Each has allies who would see their candidate elevated—and rivals who would see them fall. The court is a web of whispered deals, old grudges, and carefully measured smiles. Blood has not yet been spilled in the marble halls… but the air is thick with the promise of it. You are not the great lords. You are the ones who move between them: investigators, diplomats, agents, and observers with the skill—and the opportunity—to learn what others will not say aloud. The Council will not appoint a Regent in ignorance. Someone must cut through the intrigue, expose the truth behind each claim, and guide the choice toward stability rather than civil war. The sun still rises over Hellios. How long it continues to shine may depend on what you uncover in the shadows of its court.

Threshhold: Chapter 4

It's a modern-day D&D campaign largely using 5e/Homebrew game mechanics. A deck of crystal cards suddenly appeared on Earth and give their holders Avatar forms and class abilities. The character dynamic is pretty in depth, I'm essentially running a dating sim, slice of life, along side Dungeons and Dragons. Must be willing to use Discord for chat and DnD Beyond "Maps". We keep everything classy *pinky up*, however this is definitly for 21+ age group if only for comprehension skills. I've taught all 3 of my permanent players as well as integrated and disintegrated many players with varying TTRPG experience. I am a character killer DM, I am also a very good story teller and have SO MUCH MATERIAL. I've read a lot of the Drizzt series and tend reference things (names, items, and places) -- Also a huge Final Fantasy fan. This game will go on regardless of weither everyone joins or no one joins, I'd love to have a few new people though.      A Drow civilization from a magical inner world has discovered Earth, and we're currently trying to stop an invasion. The party just crossed into the Underdark on the way to Agartha. At first, the story was relatively small. A handful of people discovered cards, learned what they could do, trained together, dealt with other Cardholders, and tried to understand why these things had suddenly appeared.      Then everything went to hell. Giant spiders invaded Amherst. The attacks eventually became large enough that the military was fighting openly in the streets, civilians were being evacuated, and the existence of impossible creatures could no longer be completely hidden from the public. The party discovered that the spiders were connected to the Drow, and that Earth isn't the only world humanity needs to worry about. Beneath our world exists Agartha, an enormous magical inner world filled with the races, monsters, civilizations, and magic you'd normally associate with a fantasy setting. Separating Earth from that world is a single passage called the Threshold. And someone on the other side found it. One of the Five Great Drow Houses of Menzoberranzan discovered Earth, creating the possibility of an invasion against a planet that has virtually no natural defenses against magic. Then the Guardian Force cards appeared. A powerful being called Alexander discovered what was happening and cast the Deck through the Threshold, essentially throwing magical weapons into humanity's hands and hoping the people chosen by them could become strong enough to defend Earth. Things escalated again when a cult on Earth summoned a powerful Drow Priestess from another Great House. She killed the holder of the Odin GF card, took Odin for herself, and attacked Amherst alongside a massive spider horde. The party, other Cardholders, Alexander, and the military eventually brought her down. But defeating her exposed a much bigger problem. Alexander recognized her markings. She wasn't from the House already preparing to invade Earth. That means knowledge of Earth may be spreading among the Drow Houses, and if all five learn that an essentially nonmagical world exists beyond the Threshold, Earth could become the prize in a race between them. That's where the campaign is now, nearing the end of chapter 4. The party has crossed the Threshold and entered the Underdark with Alexander. Their goal is to survive a roughly five-day journey around Menzoberranzan, reach the surface of Agartha, and help Alexander find six legendary heroes powerful enough to stand against what may be coming. Meanwhile, other Cardholders remain on Earth, protecting people, recovering GF cards, finding new Cardholders, and preparing humanity for another attack. So new characters have several natural ways to enter the story. You could be an existing Cardholder we've never met, someone who recently discovered a GF card, someone the Earth team recruits, or potentially someone we encounter in Agartha itself.

High Lords of Terra (5e/5.5e homebrew) (21+)

Homebrew

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Intro to Terra If you’re coming from Faerûn, think of Terra as a vast continent that used to feel like one big, functioning empire. A tradition of feudalism, with noble "High Lord" houses ruling over their regions. All offering allegiance to a central authority, the most powerful noble house, Arista, and crowned it's leader as the First Lord. So the Legend Goes At the dawn of this world, the Gods watched our people struggle to survive in an unforgiving world - Early settlements decimated by violent storms. Explorers slaughtered by ferocious beasts. To have a chance at survival, these benevolent Gods gifted the lands with powerful spirits. And for the inhabitants, an ability to bond with these spirits. As these lands were conquered, creatures brought over were quickly surpassed by Humans, who found they could tame and even command these spirits. For thousands of years, these settlers fought and struggled to secure as much power for themselves as possible. Anarchy, chaos, and endless bloodshed, with the most vulnerable most at risk. It was not until those wielding the most powerful elemental magic banded together that law and order was able to form. Rather than fighting each other, they spread across the lands in a uniform effort to end the violence. Forming what are now known to be the High Lords of Terra. These High Lords rallied behind the most powerful among them, First Lord of House Arista. For generations, there was peace among the world. Humans across Terra in harmony with one another and their spirit blessings, working together to build great cities, sprawling farmlands, relying on each other for protection. The Civil War starts... Nearly one hundred years ago, tragedy struck when the First Lord passed away, leaving behind two sons with competing claims to the throne. The older son, born of an illegitimate affair with the High Lady of House Kalara, vied for the throne against his younger brother, son to the First Lord's wife. The conflict immediately turned bloody amongst the High Lords. On one side stood the loyalists, supporting House Arista and the rightful heir to the throne as appointed by the King's betrothed. On the other stood the would be usurping traditionalists, who sought to uphold the laws of succession. They rallied behind House Kalara. Now, a century later, the realm remains divided, locked in a never-ending struggle for power and dominance. The loyalist houses of Teos, Retosia, and Pytion stand firm in their support of House Arista, while the traditionalist houses of Sultern, Rhodes, and Toria remain steadfast in their allegiance to House Kalara. As the conflict rages on, the fate of the realm hangs in the balance. One thing is certain - It cannot survive another century of civil war. A Forgotten Evil Stirs... While the realm is torn apart by war, a new shadow rises. Mysterious disappearances reported near the uninhabited forest. Legend of an undisturbed kingdom made of wax in it's center. Ghost stories of an ancient evil laying dormant... now waking up. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello! Looking to stretch myself and finally start a new table with a homebrew I've been putting together for a few years. Looking for players that are in a similar timezone (PST). I'm also a parent, so would be looking for evening sessions after kiddos are asleep (~7pm PST). The world's lore is loosely inspired by Jim Butcher's Codex Alera series, mashed together with Faerun. Familiarity with source material is not required or expected at all. Lore will be provided on this world, and the unique elemental powers ALL characters will have access to... With this world, there will be some restrictions on the Player Characters. All playable characters at this time will be Humans. Most classes are workable, though the system really lends itself to Martials/Half-Casters. I would highly recommend using one of those. I'm not a major Rules Lawyer, big believer in Rule-of-Cool and being adaptable. Improvising and leaning into the roleplay is where the magic happens. There will challenging, purposeful combat but not a meat-grinder style of a campaign. Getting the right dynamic is very important to me, so will definitely be intentional. Would also love some diversity (both in character and out of character) at the table. If this sounds interesting, please reach back out! Would be happy to discuss further and share more info on the lore to make sure it's a good fit. Regardless, best of luck to you on finding the right table. :) Cheers, Windy

Weekdays only, a group decides on day & time Most people will probably play between 16:00 – 21:00 (GMT+0) Will be played in Discord voice chat, "Theatre of the Mind" playstyle (means no VTT) My Discord (weebseatshit) *PREMISE* You are dragged into a dangerous encounter together with other unlucky ones. Now you are bonded whether you want it or not. Since you are a witness, some people want you dead, watch your back(s) & trust no one It's a Forgotten Realms based, custom (homebrew) campaign with an emphasis on story, characters & adventures Some spells that affect game's balance & world, may be forbidden. It'll be discussed Instead of HP you have healthbars, & you don't know how big are your enemies healthbars Spells become cantrips I'll describe locations & looks with little to no details Just like with the books, i'd prefer that every player imagined their own stuff (& because there may be an info that player may not get or just ignore) Only these races are allowed: Human, Elf (Moon, Wood), Dwarf, Goliath, Tiefling (Purple, Pink, Blue), Tystling (a human with cat ears (& eyes)) These classes aren't allowed: Artificer, Barbarian, Monk, Psion A tystling is similar to a cat Monochrome darkvision Enhanced senses: smell, hearing, vision, touch & balance Soft step: walking is almost noiseless (unless a tystling has something noisy on), running is slightly quieter comparing to other races A tystling is shorter than an elf, but taller than a dwarf A tystling is slim like an elf, but lighter than an elf, with smaller muscles. That makes a tystling even more agile & dexterous than an elf, but it's very hard for a tystling to lift or carry medium heavy things

Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Greetings, scoundrels, thieves, rogues, and pirates. I'm running a short to medium length Pirate Borg campaign and looking for 1–2 more players to join the filthy ranks. You'll be thrown into a lethal sandbox in the Caribbean during the Golden Age of Piracy, where war, undead horrors, occult forces, and general madness are dragging the world toward apocalypse. You won't be playing heroic do-gooders. You'll be desperate bastards with loaded pistols, questionable morals, and whatever ambitions you can keep alive long enough to pursue. There is no predetermined story you're expected to follow. Characters are randomly rolled, death is very much on the table, and what you do with the miserable life the dice give you is entirely up to you. Become a legendary pirate. Steal a ship. Hunt horrors for silver. Get filthy rich. Become an exotic undead drug kingpin. Start a war. Or simply try to survive the end of the world. I've already got three solid players, and we're setting sail next Monday. Sessions run weekly on Mondays at 7 PM PT for roughly 3–4 hours, using Foundry with Discord for voice. The crew is established and the game is happening, no weeks of session zeros or waiting around to get things off the ground. Pirate Borg is rules-light and easy to learn; no experience is required. Roll a character. Play next Monday. If you're interested, shoot me a DM with a little about yourself, why you want to join, and what you're hoping to get out of the game. We'll go from there. Bring rum. Bring powder. Bring a spare character.

PF1e tends to be combat focused, lots of teamwork, but there's puzzles, riddles, investigation too. I don't charge money, game time is Fridays at 6pm central. I have been GMing weekly since 1997 or so, cut my gaming teeth on AD&D first ed. I go above and beyond for my players! This campaign is Discord video chat, but we could change time/day if the other players are willing and able. Don't worry about the mechanics, they are a lot easier than most believe, I am a good teacher (or so I have been told repeatedly over decades). I do not use a VTT. Tried. So I draw it out on a wet erase board, and if there's only one or two enemies, I don't bother and keep it in my head (I have the IQ to be able to do so, and then some). NO FURRIES! If you go into this expecting to create your character without regard to the setting or the group composition, you can kiss your entitled butt goodbye. Even if I did nothing different as GM, the group would suffer and your PC might not make it. I do get your back when I get the chance if you are willing to try a class you don't normally. Lots of stupid puns and jokes. My campaigns tend to be accidentally lethal, and my NPC's react within the bounds of their Intelligence scores. I poke players into beefing up their defenses in the low levels (in between game sessions), I value intelligence and wisdom in a player. I have no problem with potent PC's, so long as they play well with others and make sense. I tend to be very helpful in between game sessions, giving as much relevant info as possible without spoiling the plot, with less info for veteran players. Quite military friendly, as my NPCs tend to react realistically and tactically. I am extremely good at teaching, not just game mechanics but also tactics, even interaction with fellow players. During game sessions, I play all my NPC's to the hilt, so if they are actively trying to kill your PC, that's how it is. I rarely fudge dice results, when I do it's for drama's sake, trying to make the game exciting and interesting. With Iron Gods you gotta make the characters WITH MY DIRECT ASSISTANCE as I make sure they fit with the group and campaigns, plus I give out extra benefits (like gear). We currently have a female aasimar Cleric, a female unchained sylph Rogue, and a male oni Tiefling melee Fighter. They are now 2nd level, and we could use a Gunslinger (probably Techslinger archetype is best given the campaign), and a Wizard magic and tech item crafter/Technomancer (who gets assistance from the Cleric). Yes, someone to help the Wizard make magic items would be useful too, since handling both tech and magic item creation is intensive on feats! Iron Gods is all about alien technology meets medieval types, sorta might and magic vs science fiction tech, with some usage of tech, people say it has a lot of Conan the Cimmerian vibe to it. The campaign seems to have robots, undead, aberrations running around, so having alternatives to mind affecting stuff is a good idea. That isn't to say you can't, it just means have more than one way to mess with the tactics of the enemy. I have a giant list of races available, some of which are androgynous, others exclusively male, others exclusively female, all of which are official save for 2 (Sylvan elves, basically archer and Ranger types, and Trollans). I instituted sexual dimorphism attribute modifiers to get players running more female characters, right now for example in Iron Gods we will have 3 female characters and one male (but played by a woman and 3 men but not the classes you'd think). Subtract 5 points from Strength for female characters, and add 2 points of Constitution, 2 points of Charisma, and 1 point of Wisdom. Please note that Elves,Sylvan elves, Drow, Trollans (based on Orko from masters of the universe cartoon from the 80s), Gathlain, Ghoran, and Wyrwood are not subject to this ruling, so there is no difference mechanically between male or female characters for them. Interestingly, female characters are mathematically better for Oracles, Clerics (so long as you stay away from melee combat), Sorcerers, Psychics, Mesmerists, Mediums, basically anyone that doesn’t need a high Strength score, and could use the increased Constitution, Charisma, and a little bit of Wisdom. Yes, there are cheap ways to dramatically increase your carrying limits, I can show you. Skill based classes like the Unchained Rogue and Bard tend to be a mixed result since a low Strength impacts carrying limits, Climb, Swim, and sometimes Intimidate. Male characters make better warrior types, so Fighters (melee and bows but not crossbows), Paladins, Samurai, Unchained Barbarians, Unchained Monks, Cavaliers, Inquisitors, Rangers tend to be male. Basically it pokes men into running characters that think in a more indirect, feminine way, and women into thinking in a more masculine, direct way by poking them into classes that have the right mindset/tactics. I really enjoy variety, and so even my campaigns tend to have a lot of different activities, not just "dungeon crawls". Banned Classes/Races Summoner (and Unchained version), Arcanist, Bloodrager, Brawler, Hunter, Investigator, Shaman, Skald, Slayer, Swashbuckler, Warpriest (this is all of the Advanced Class Guide), Vigilante, Shifter, all mythic paths are banned permanently (broken ruleset). Half-elves, Half-orcs are banned permanently; they are too mechanically similar to humans and don’t make sense genetically. Note that I never allow 3rd party (non Paizo) material (unless I honestly think they are balanced and appropriate but you gotta ask first), and I do not allow material that I don’t have access to personally. I am willing to get new material, however. I am the same way about the Gunslinger (need advanced tech available), Ninja (very culture centric), Samurai (very culture centric), Antipaladin (evil aligned only), Assassin (evil aligned only) classes. For example, we are playing Iron Gods, and you get access to alien guns so the Gunslinger is welcome. I won't run Rise of the Runelords, Carrion Crown, Giantslayer since I already did them.  These are the Pathfinder campaigns I have: Rise of the Runelords, Jade Regent, Shattered Star, Return of the Runelords, Reign of Winter, Mummy's Mask, Iron Gods, Curse of the Crimson Throne, Skull & Shackles, Hell's Rebels, Ruins of Azlant, Carrion Crown, Tyrant's Grasp, Strange Aeons. The difficult campaigns I have access to are Council of Thieves (3.5 have to adjust it), Giantslayer (kinda boring starting book 4 for the GM), Goblin adventure series (very short), Hell's Vengeance (evil aligned PCs), Kingmaker (3.5 have to adjust it), Second Darkness (3.5 have to adjust it). Only a few APs exist that I won't run period.  That’s not even counting the dungeon crawl classics adventure modules. Reign of Winter will let you see 18th level since I tacked on a module at the end, Carrion Crown only 15th, all other PF campaigns 17th. No gestalt classes, nothing outside the list below. Each new campaign, take a different class and role.  These are the Pathfinder classes I use: Warriors: Unchained Barbarian, Unchained Monk (very SE Asian culture centric), Paladin, Fighter, Ranger (and possibly Gunslinger if I run Iron Gods or Reign of Winter, Samurai if running Jade Regent), Cavalier Skill Monkeys: Bard, Ranger, Unchained Rogue, possibly Ninja if running Jade Regent Divine casters: Druid, Cleric, Oracle, Inquisitor Arcane casters: Sorcerer, Wizard, Witch, Alchemist, Magus Psychics: Kineticist, Medium, Mesmerist, Occultist, Psychic, Spiritualist No politics of any kind: right, left, sexuality, real world religions, excessive feminism/whatever etc not allowed, if you have a need to make a fuss about that, you will be kicked out (all sorts tend to be in my groups). It's perfectly fine to have those views, but don't bring them to the game (this is meant to be fun, social, intellectually challenging). If you have major psych problems that get in the way of simple social interaction (explosive outbursts etc) don't contact me. I eventually ask for telephone number just in case of you not showing up to game and you didn't tell me otherwise. It's for emergency stuff, like if someone gets sick or something and I gotta cancel the game. I do care about my players! And yes, I am meticulous about not calling for funsies.  Listen, I have some rules for players. 1 Give me warning 24 hours before the game if you are gonna cancel. I need the time to tell the others and cancel the game if I don't have enough people to play. This is non negotiable! 2 Play well with others. If you are too disruptive, I will boot you after several private warnings. 3 Take a different role each new campaign. Try new things! 4 You have to show up to play 75% of the time. If you cancel too many times, there's no point to having you in the group. 5 Sometimes you will be required to take a role you don't really want because the rest of the group made their picks already. If this happens, the next campaign I will make sure you get first pick as to your role/class. 6 If you have to make sacrifices for the group, like blowing feats on item crafting etc, I will try to send good things your way. Teamwork is important.

Teamwork is important. I have been GMing since 1997 or so, cut my gaming teeth on AD&D first ed. I go above and beyond for my players. I am very adept at teaching, btw. This campaign is on Mondays at 6pm Central time Discord video chat, but we could change time/day if the other players are willing and able. Set in Chicago, I've added abilities to the NPCs to support their discipline powers, and set the whole timeline from Chicago 1 to 2 and beyond more gradually, changed who lives. Note that I have changed some of the clans a bit, like switched Gangrel(Sabbat) and City Gangrel (Camarilla), turned certain Brujah into True Brujah, a Ventrue into a Nosferatu, that sort of thing. Vampire has characters that are difficult to create without my assistance if you don't know how the numbers and discipline powers work (you distribute dots, there are no classes). However the game play dice mechanics/rules are easy as heck. The hard part is that it demands more forethought to play, because there's a lot of deceptive NPCs, including your own. It is oddly more ethical/moral than medieval fantasy games by far, even though you don't play a hero normally, and even though you're a vampire feeding on humans and aren't human yourself. It's darker I suppose, lots of intrigue and figuring out what is really going on. Kinda like watching Babylon 5 or Dune, you have to take notes to recall everything that could be vital later. A LOT less combat than medieval fantasy games! It's rare, but nasty when it does occur. Maturity is advised. Note that I broke my campaign down in a timeline, it can be altered by PC actions, even down to the year and month.  VERY DETAILED homebrew campaign that can be changed given PC choices. RIght now they are in late 1990 somewhere between Oct and December, you will get the PC's average xp to start with, along with a host of extra little benefits outside what the creation rules normally grant. You dictate the parameters, I figure out how to make the mechanics do what you want and tell you about potential problems, and I pick out flaws so as to give you your own story arc. Its also a great way to get rid of problem NPCs. The Dark Fate flaw is reserved for anyone meeting their end during Gehenna, the end of the world. See, the Antediluvians rise, and they are hungry for their clan members.... That doesn't mean you can't play, you can still run other characters even after your main one croaks. Official list of clans/bloodlines you can take in Chicago compatible with the group as it is: Nosferatu (must take Dark Fate flaw), Toreador, Ventrue, Brujah, Gangrel (Sabbat), Malkavian, City Gangrel (Camarilla), Tzimisce (must take the Dark Fate flaw), Gargoyle, Caitiff (Anarch typically), Assamite (Milwaukee Sabbat), True Brujah. Obscure list (you can take them if you want, but you won't have support from fellow clan members in Chicago): Daughter of Cacophony, Nagarajah, Salubri (Warrior and very Camarilla), Lamia.  Got a Cappadocian (a hospital morgue doctor and a necromancer), Salubri (one Healer(an FBI agent), one Watcher (a homicide Chicago police detective), and Lasombra (an amateur boxer and criminal lawyer, he wants to go Camarilla). I have set up each pc to have fast growth, to have really good rolls for their disciplines right away. The party could use a member that has Vicissitude, Animalism, Celerity (this requires high Wits) as clan, or possibly Temporis, Thaumaturgy. Luckily there's a 5 point merit that allows anyone to buy clan xp rates, hint hint. You gotta also pay for mentor ratings since you need a teacher to increase your disciplines outside of Celerity, Fortitude, Potence. BTW, I made these 3 powers much easier to use, and less vitae expensive. If you pick from the obscure list, you can BUY up to 7th generation, but you blow 6 background dots to pull it off.  Caitiff are interesting, I made them able to teach ANY discipline they learn; normally the 13 clans can only teach their clan disciplines. A Tremere is possible, but you'd need to be a diehard Anarch (meaning the local Tremere want your keister dead, although good news for you that the Chicago ones are less than competent). If you don't know the clans, I can give you information but you will need the V20 core rulebook (learning the setting and abilities but not the disciplines), the dark ages core rulebook (mostly just for the super powers/disciplines), tome of secrets (all forms of vampire magic, even Obtenebration), and Erciyes Fragments (this will feature heavily in the campaign, its the Vampire bible of sorts including prophecies) books. Also a total of 20 d10's, basically two matched sets of 10 d10's, but the 2 sets cannot match each other. Preferably translucent dice, not solid. Chuck out any that have bubbles inside. Game always starts at 6pm central Mondays. The Guide to the Camarilla from the Revised edition might be handy, but not strictly necessary. Prince's Primer is nice for understanding elder vampires' mindset. They are very manipulative, and deceptive. This is a copy of an update I gave to a player that missed a session: Both Michael Payne Toreador and Son of the Malkavians are dead, and Jay found another body in the basement, this time of a dead boy, a formerly months old vampire Caitiff. His name was Neon, and Damien of the Brujah (one of 2 anarch leaders was caring/teaching for Neon) Damien will have to be told. Neon was chained via manacles to the basement floor in Son's Skokie residence, his throat ripped out and his face gnawed upon. Evidence was found that Son was blackmailing Horatio Ballard into insane and demeaning acts. You could get a major boon from Ballard using this, or use it against him in other ways. (the players gave this information to the Nosferatu, who now owe them big time)  Ballard apparently has been naughty. Michael accidentally killed Son, and Michael is dead thanks to the party knocking him into torpor, and the elders ending him. recall, Michael was suicidal, and homicidal after the party ended his ex wife. plus had a rep for being a thug who used to cause chaos your character Salubri Healer just rescued the young couple that Son was psychologically torturing, and you shot Michael (bashing damage, just reduced him to torpor) as he tried to use Ben the Cappadocian as a shield

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
**House Rhyle has vanished into the great dark.** Now the Emperor of the Known Universe has called upon your once Minor House, newly raised to Major House status, to take up their abandoned fief. You have enemies. You’ll soon have more. Raise your banner. Draw your sword. Muster every weapon of statecraft at your command and turn a hostile world into your own. But the seat of House Rhyle holds mysteries. Why did they leave? Where did they go? The Imperium claims they fled to Tupile, but is that the truth? And then there is the Scar: an astronomical anomaly that hangs in the dark of the system, a perfect circle of nothingness where something should be. What is it? How did it come to exist? Most importantly: is it a threat? Your House is new. Its future, and perhaps the future of the Imperium, is yours to shape.

I'm looking for a DM who takes requests or is looking to learn by using an existing homebrew world for a group with six players. I have a game world already mostly put together that I used as a DM but would like to take from the player's side in this instance, the game is an amalgam of various existing nerd culture franchises such as Star Wars, Marvel, DC and anime where the characters and lore exist simultaneously and always have which create a unique setting rich with possibilities for the players to adventure and explore. We live in the Pacific Northwest but having an online DM who lives elsewhere but connects online is totally welcome, looking forward to hearing from you and having fun with you soon! Please DM me if you want more details.

Looking for a good group of people to play through my copy of Gloomhaven 1E in South Jersey, idc if your new to the game or not I'm willing to help you through it. I got the game at a really good price but everyone I usually play with is either not insterested in playing beyond a few scenerios or has already played it and doesn't want to again. I'm hoping to find 2-3 nice, chill people with a love of table top gaming (preferably around my age 23 but I dont mind if you're older) that are itching to play this game as much as I am.

Specimen Unknown

Eli Boone grew up in a small agricultural town in Ohio. He's a friendly, loyal, hardworking guy with strong small-town values. He believes in helping people, keeping his word, and doing what's right. He wasn't always a believer in the supernatural. That changed during a family trip to Wisconsin. While visiting his uncle, Eli experienced what appeared to be a genuine haunting: cold spots, voices, the sensation of being watched, and other unexplained events. During the same trip, his family's car was chased by what Eli believes was the Beast of Bray Road. On the drive home, the family witnessed two unidentified objects in the sky. Three completely different paranormal experiences in the span of one trip convinced Eli that the world was considerably stranger than he had thought. He posted about the experiences online, expecting people to think he was crazy. Most did. But one organization took his story very seriously. The Aegis Foundation The Aegis Foundation is a recently established international organization that publicly presents itself as a humanitarian and charitable organization dedicated to protecting people and improving lives. Behind the scenes, however, Aegis knows that monsters and other supernatural phenomena exist. The organization has wealthy international benefactors, extensive resources, official connections, rigorous training programs, and a growing network of facilities. It is also extremely bureaucratic and secretive. Aegis wants monster specimens—dead or alive—for reasons that aren't entirely clear. Eli was recruited immediately after high school and became the first paid field Hunter employed by Aegis. He's been extensively trained and equipped, and he's genuinely proud to work for them. Aegis gave him a purpose and took him seriously when everyone else thought he was crazy. The catch? Eli doesn't actually know what Aegis ultimately wants. And neither do I. I'd love to explore that mystery during the campaign. What I'm Looking For I'm hoping to find a Keeper who is interested in taking this premise and running with it. I'm particularly interested in: Monster-hunting and investigation Character-driven stories A little mystery surrounding Aegis The occasional horror, but not necessarily nonstop grimdark Humor and fun between the scary stuff Characters who have reasons to care about each other Collaborative worldbuilding The possibility of the characters gradually discovering what Aegis is really doing I'm new to Monster of the Week, so I'm looking for a group that's welcoming to someone learning the system. I'm not expecting the campaign to revolve around Eli or Aegis—I'd like the other players' characters and stories to be just as important. If you're a Keeper looking for a campaign idea, or a player interested in joining something like this, I'd love to hear from you.

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
The galaxy is changing… and not for the better. The Yuuzhan Vong have arrived from beyond the known galaxy, bringing living ships, terrifying biotechnology, and a hatred of machines that has already left entire worlds in ruin. The New Republic is struggling to respond, the Jedi are stretched thin, and the hyperspace lanes are filled with refugees, rumors, and fear. In the middle of this chaos, you are part of a small crew trying to survive and make a difference. Maybe you’re Jedi trying to understand this strange new enemy. Maybe you’re soldiers fighting a desperate delaying action. Smugglers, scouts, diplomats, and survivors all have a place in a galaxy where the rules of war are rapidly changing. This campaign will focus heavily on roleplay, character choices, and the personal stories that unfold during a massive galactic war. Expect tense negotiations, dangerous missions behind enemy lines, moral dilemmas, and moments where your characters must decide what they’re willing to sacrifice to protect the galaxy. The Yuuzhan Vong are coming. Who will your character be when the galaxy needs heroes… or survivors? Looking for GM and Players.  Saturdays 10:00 AM GMT Does this day and time work for you, and can you reliably make the sessions? How old are you and how much RPG experience do you have? Do both you and your character work well in a team? Are you familiar with Saga Edition and do you have a copy of it? What is your character concept? Please answer all the questions to be considered.

[DnD 5e][Denton, TX] - DM looking for players for a Homebrew 5e campaign Hey there! I moved to Denton a couple months ago and I'm looking to get a small group together to hang out weekly, play D&D, grab drinks, or play boardgames together. Here's the plan: * **System:** D&D 5e * **Format:** We'll kick off with a short one-shot to get a feel for the group, then move into an ongoing homebrew campaign * **Schedule:** Fridays (starting this week) @ 6pm, Denton, TX biweekly campaign sessions, alternating with biweekly hangout nights (board games, drinks, whatever) so Fridays stay a standing thing either way * **Who:** Guys & gals welcome, never played before? Even better. I'm a newer DM myself, so no pressure to know the rules going in. Just looking to find some post-grad peeps who can commit to a weekly hangout. If that sounds like your kind of Friday, hit me up on here and/or Discord: Chashu293

"Year 0" Prequel One-Shots

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Hello hello! I am Matthew. I am a new DM building a homebrew world, and I want your help filling in its history. Before my main campaign begins, I am running a series of one-shots set in "Year 0". This is when an apocalyptic cataclysm nearly ends the world. The future campaign will be set centuries afterward. When? I run my business from home and have a family, so M-F during the day works best. These one-shots will take place Tuesday through Thursday, between 9:00am and 2:00pm Central time (chicago area). If you work from home, work nights, or live in a time zone where this is your evening, this table is for you! What is it? You will play low- to mid-level heroes surviving the chaos of a larger conflict. You might be pulling off a desperate heist for a magical artifact, escorting refugees to safety, or holding the line against impossible odds. All of this happens under the shadow of the First King, whose mysterious sacrifice during this era saved the realm but cursed his bloodline forever. Legacy? Yup If you survive, I have a "Fortune & Fate" roll planned to help determine your character's epilogue. Though you will have plenty of creative control over their outcomes. Survive or not - your characters will become the myths, ancestors, and founders in the larger campaign!

Dungeons in the Mist

Looking to start up a "monthly" game of D&D 5e 2014, Legend in the Mist, City of Mist, Savage Worlds, Genesys, or another system in some genre we agree on or any other system that might be fun to try. Getting my current group is like herding cats so I play far too infrequently so I'd like a bit more consistency. I'm interested in running a Call of Cthulhu style game using the City of Mist rulebook. I want a relaxed beer and pretzels game primarily centered around narrative game play peppered with cinematic action. Preferable game times are Saturdays from noon until quitting time, or Sunday noon until 6ish. Location might by in a garage, or a local game store that's open until 10pm.

Grasianil Chronicles[Custom D6 System][Maptool]

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Looking for player interested in testing custom game system via narrative roleplay and learning the system itself. Grasianil: Custom D6-based system utilizing Maptool primarily, heavily stream-lined to support large, quick battles. Versatility allows vehicles, mechs, and spaceships, utilizing unique mechanics, in-addition to single players. Minimal delays owing to macros within Maptool, utilizing pop-up menus, automatic calculation of damage, debuffs, armor, etc. Highly adaptable, with streamlined rules offering as much complexity as is desired, and based on the setting. Developed by myself and my partner who passed away earlier this year. Supports several original fantasy and sci fi worlds of varying types, from traditional western high fantasy, to detailed low fantasy, from space opera-style sci fi, to more realistic settings. In-addition to original settings not listed here, it has been adapted to: Legend of Zelda Battletech Middle Earth Forgotten Realms Mystara Shadowrun and Cyberpunk Pre-existing settings are not played strictly-canon, but consistency is stressed. Medium amount of experience in RPing requested, as well as an open mind to learn a new system. Maptool 1.11.5 needed, Discord used primarily for all text but other programs are an option, Google sheets used for some settings. Time-zone of GM is US Central. RPing otherwise done via text on Discord, but other options open to discussion. Session date and time variable, any listed setting available, suggestions welcome, inquire in DMs to myself for further details. GM preference for folks interested in creating a story, rather than purely for the gaming. One-on-one only, at the moment. No cost. No absolute obligation. Reach out to natalie7995 on Discord, or via message/email for more information. When reaching out, please send a message via Groupfinder or over Discord.

The Star Hoarder's Cache

Hey everyone! I’m Alan, and I GM for a group of lovable misfits online. We've been together around 3 years now, and are getting ready to launch our next grand sci-fi campaign: The Star Hoarder's Cache! If you love deep character development, witty table banter, and adventures where your choices genuinely shape the story, we’d love to meet you! We’re currently looking for 1–2 dedicated roleplayers to round out our crew. The Campaign Hook: Think Guardians of the Galaxy meets Firefly, Mass Effect, and Treasure Island. Expect a scrappy, found-family crew chasing legendary fortunes across uncharted frontiers. The tone balances high-stakes galactic intrigue, sharp comedic banter, and meaningful character arcs. Your past catches up with you, the galaxy reacts dynamically to your decisions, and every crew member has a vital voice in where your ship flies next. We used the Adventure Path 'Murder in Metal City' to onboard us into SF2e, and are ready to tackle a homebrew campaign. About the GM & Table Style The Style: I bring 3 years of GMing experience backed by a long history studying improv at Second City. That means dynamic scenes, distinct NPC personalities, and an adaptive GM approach where player creativity, humor, and bold ideas are rewarded. The Current Crew: Our table consists of two women, and three men. (Including me, the GM) We're looking for another 1-2 players to round out the table. Immersion & Focus: To maintain high energy and uninterrupted roleplay during game night, our sessions are recorded and privately uploaded so that only table members have access. This allows me to stay 100% present in the moment while ensuring every player decision, inside joke, and plot thread is captured accurately between sessions without breaking the flow for note-taking. The Atmosphere: We are an inclusive, collaborative, and communicative group. We share the spotlight, support each other's character arcs, and prioritize fun, respectful storytelling above all else. We utilize safety tools like X-Cards and establish clear boundaries/lines & veils ahead of time. If a session is likely to involve heavier depictions of potentially difficult topics, I make a point to remind everyone of the X-Card options and check in with players ahead of time. Campaign Length: Our table enjoys campaigns around 12 sessions long. We've run four of them so far using PF2e. I try to focus on an overarching narrative while weaving in the backstories and goals of the party members. Some backstory plots get resolved along with the main campaign; while others are given clues and breadcrumbs into our next campaign. Logistics & Requirements System: Starfinder 2e / Pathfinder 2e We started as a PF2e group, and after 3 years; are trying out SF2e. The two systems are practically the same, except for minor tweaks Platform: Foundry VTT for gameplay, Discord for out-of-character crew banter. Schedule: Twice per month, running on a weekday evening (Mon, Tue, Wed, or Thu based on group consensus), 6:30 PM – ~11:00 PM CST. Tech: Clear working microphone, reliable internet, and a PC/browser capable of running Foundry VTT smoothly. Webcam use is encouraged, but optional. Age: 21+ I aim to run a PG-13/Sometimes 'R' rated table. We focus on keeping things friendly, with strictly zero-tolerance for bigotry or toxic behavior. How to Apply If you want to join our crew, send me a direct message with brief answers to the following: Experience: What is your background with Pathfinder 2e, Starfinder 2e or tabletop RPGs? (Beginners to the system are welcome!) Playstyle: What draws you to TTRPG's; Combat/Strategy, Improv/Character development or creating a Shared-Storyline? Crew Pitch: Give a 2–3 sentence concept of a character you’d be excited to play. What motivates them? Table Dynamic: What energy do you hope to bring to the table in our story-driven campaign? Applications will remain open until we find the right fit, followed by a brief, casual chat on Discord to make sure we're all on the same page before jumping in with Session 1. (We'll go over table expectations, a short tutorial for using FoundryVTT, any Off-Limit topics, etc.) Looking forward to welcoming you to our table!

Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
A D&D 5e One-Shot About Making Bad Decisions in the Face of Certain Death The premise is simple: You are going to face something you cannot defeat. Not probably can’t defeat. Not might be able to defeat. You are completely and spectacularly outmatched. This one-shot is inspired by Faster, Purple Worm! Kill! Kill! and is designed around the idea of throwing the party into an absolutely hopeless situation and seeing what happens. ⚔️ This is NOT a traditional heroic adventure. There is no expectation that the party will defeat the final threat. There may not even be a realistic way to survive. Instead, the goal is to create a fun, memorable, ridiculous, and occasionally heroic last stand where your decisions determine how your character faces the inevitable. Maybe you run. Maybe you fight. Maybe you come up with an absolutely insane plan. Maybe you spend your final moments arguing with the rest of the party about whose fault this was. Whatever happens, the goal is to have a great time. 🎲 About the DM I’ve been DMing for 2+ years and have experience running games through Discord and Owlbear. I’m also new-player friendly. You don’t need years of D&D experience to join. I’ll help explain rules and get you comfortable with the game as we go. 🏳️‍🌈 LGBTQ+ friendly The table is intended to be welcoming and respectful to everyone. Come ready to have fun, make questionable decisions, and embrace the chaos. ⚠️ Important Player Expectation Character death is not only possible, it is expected. This adventure is specifically built around an overwhelming threat and the possibility of certain death. Please don’t bring a character you’ve spent months developing if permanent character death would ruin the experience for you. Bring a character you’re excited to play, roll some dice, make some memories, and see how long you can keep the inevitable at bay.

Dragonbane beginner One-Shot

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Hello, I want to start GMing Dragonbane, this will be the first time I GM this system so beginners are welcome, we will learn as we go. I will provide all the rules and any necessary books. All i ask is that you want to play this system and is willing to learn. I'm planning on running a one-shot to begin with, and if everyone wants to continue we'll play through 11 beginner adventures that all connect into a bigger story. If everything goes well my plan is to then move on to either another premade adventure or my homebrew world. My goal is to find 4-5 players and the start date will be chosen once we have our group. I'll be using FoundryVTT and discord to play. "Dragonbane is a classic fantasy tabletop roleplaying game full of magic, mystery, and adventure. It is designed from the ground up to facilitate fast and furious play, with very little prep time and adventures that are a breeze to run. This is a game with room for laughs at the table, while still offering brutal challenges for the adventurers. We call this playstyle “mirth and mayhem roleplaying” Send me a dm if you are interested.

Playtest
The game is still being tested, and your feedback is part of the point.
Looking For: 3-5 players for an in-person playtest Location: Millbrook / Prattville / Wetumpka (Montgomery area works too) Play Style: In-person, tabletop, fantasy adventure Experience Needed: None Character Creation: Required (part of the playtest) Schedule: Flexible evenings or weekends System: UNBOUND, a custom system I've been developing I'm looking for 3-5 players to test out my anti-essentialist, leveled point buy TTRPG system. You build your character according to your fantasy, not class cages. Perks and Limitations define your build, and let you make your character the way YOU want, not the way a rulebook says you must. Every level gives you Build Points to grow your character in any direction, with no forced archetypes. Combat is dynamic, using Active Defenses, contested rolls, and armor as a damage reduction percentage. Magic is fluid, and almost any caster can heal, so nobody needs to play the healbot.  Come help my test out my system and try out something you didn't know you needed.

This is a test post, looking to gather players in my area for an IRL game, hopefully forming a group for regular play.  (Disclaimer: while I've been a GM for some time I'm mainly used to online play I.e. discord westmarch servers so my IrL skills may be a little rusty)  On that note I'm newbie friendly, and believe in having fun more than anything.

No paid games
On a player profile - you are looking for free games and are not interested in paid ones.
I'm a game designer, and I'm looking for a group of great players to help me playtest the crap out of it. Anyone willing to playtest will get a free digital copy of Prosperon on the house. I was thinking of running sessions every other week on Saturdays, since I already run a podcast campaign weekly. If you're interested, sign up and let’s have a blast. To give you an idea of the gameplay style, it’s about 65% roleplay and 35% combat, though that really depends on the group’s dynamics. If you all want more combat, I can absolutely make that happen. The game is a cyberpunk/biopunk mix set in a dystopian society on a distant planet far from Earth. Humanity colonized a world called Khaelmora, later renamed Prosperon by the human settlers. If you're interested, let’s get those dice rolling and have a good time. I just wanted to add that I’m also looking to start a play‑by‑post group. I still want to run a VTT game, of course, but a play‑by‑post format could be fun too.

Welcome to Keocorra! (possible Camapign)

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Hello folks and welcome to my adventurer recruitment! Let’s begin with a quick introduction and summary of my post. You should gain a brief overview of what I’m looking for/offering from the first two sections. I am a bit of a yapper, so the overall post may get a little long, but if you are interested, please read it all. (I will be putting more information on the Discord Server I’ve made for this.) I would like to note that the server is currently at a good amount of people, however I am reopening this since I need to fill a vacancy in Group 4! Group 2 has just concluded and Group 4 will likely have their sessions at the start of October (the One Shot currently takes two sessions). Games will run on Sundays in the later afternoon based on CET time.  Me: My name is Shay (He/Her/Theirs (any pronouns)). I’m 22 years old and have always been a storyteller. That said, English is not my first language. I do my best and would say I’m fluent, though. I am queer and neurodivergent and a nerd, which is sort of obvious considering this is a ttrpg recruitment site lol. I got some DnD experience recently after years of never having the proper friend group for it. I’ve loved tabletop content for years, and now that I’ve played some, I know I love it. Although playing itself is very fun, I’ve always known the mantle of the DM calls to me. Therefore, I am now a beginner DM, currently working on my own DnD setting.  What I’m looking for: I am looking for players of any skill level that would be interested in connecting, and possibly eventually embarking on a campaign with me. I do not currently have any dming experience, which is why this recruitment is primarily for a One Shot I have written. It is fairly straight forward and should cover the various aspects of DnD (roleplaying, exploring, combat, looting etc). I want to write more One Shots, and through running them, find a group for a campaign. However, you don’t have to be interested in a campaign to play my One Shot :) Rules and Requirements: You must be 18+ to join. You must have a decent microphone and stable Internet. You do not need any prior DnD experiences. Joining the One Shot is not a guarantee of getting into the Campaign: The Campaign will have four players just like each group of the One Shot will. I'm hoping to run the One Shot three times. One Campaign Slot is already filled.  You may make your character sheet on sites such as DnDBeyond or Dicecloud, but you may also make one on paper. Just be sure to send it to me if it’s not through my Campaign link in DnDBeyond. You may roll in any form you want, even with real dice. I will work under the assumptions that you do not alter the results of any rolls I cannot immediately see. You must not use any AI to generate writing or characters. Ideally, you should not use it at all (ever). You may not use preexisting AI art for your character art. I urge you to critically assess any piece of art you use for your characters. (I will provide resources to find non-AI character art). If you use someone else’s art for your character, you must provide credits. Do not be bigoted, hateful or discriminatory in any way. Racism, Ableism, Misogyny, Queerphobia and bullying will not be tolerated. This may sound a little odd, but you must be willing to use non-conventional and/or shifting pronouns. You don’t need to be perfect, but be respectful and willing to learn. (This is also fairly important in game, since I will include genderqueer or genderneutral characters/npcs.) ERP is not allowed in the One Shots and likely won’t be allowed in the Campaign (depends largely on players). While playing, please pay attention, even if it isn’t your turn. More Info on the One Shot: The One Shot has a fairly clear storyline and isn’t set up to have too much room for improvisation as for it’s plot points. Improvisation is an aspect I want to also eventually explore, but for now this is more of a “tutorial” type experience. The various paths and options are prewritten and have a clear line of progression, although what exactly happens and what you chose to do is open! Unfortunately, I can’t let you not accept the quest I have prepared and go explore somewhere else, sorry ^^ Depending on interest, I will probably run the One Shot multiple times, and/or offer up another one if there are people that are interested in being part of a DnD group longterm. This lore of my world isn’t relevant to the One Shot, which does take place in the same world, but approximately 1600 years in the past. This is so the One Shot can already happen while I’m still putting the lore and everything else to paper! All you need to know is in the pitch; although it basically summarizes to “Every kingdom is at war, but that’s not really your problem. You just need to get by.” There is also some information about geography and the overall world on my Server. More Info on a possible Campaign: I will eventually put out some lore of my world on the Discord Server. It will include informations about pretty much everything you need to know: gods, territories, people and everything else I cook up ^^’ As I mentioned before, none of the Campaign lore/information is relevant to the One Shot(s). When it comes to the eventual Campaign, I have a few reference points and ideas what an overarching story could be, but I do also want to have a big focus on the characters in the adventuring party. So what the actual plot of the campaign will be also depends heavily on the groups wants. I am looking to write a more serious story, but there will be room for whimsy and tomfoolery. I will include more existential themes and don’t shy away from things getting dark. However, ahead of a campaign, triggers, topics to avoid and such will be discussed in depth! Once a group has emerged for a campaign, I want to hold a sort of early Session 0 where we all discuss ideas, early character concepts, opinions on possible plot arcs and I will obviously also be there to answer questions! We would probably have a second session 0 to discuss characters, backstories and such closer to when the actual campaign would start. With all this information put out there, I’m hoping the sessions can be weekly or biweekly. I know that is a fairly big commitment, but that’s also why the process before the Campaign is a little longer. I’m not just looking for future players, I’m looking for future friends! Now, onto the actual One Shot Pitch: Short Version: In a world where war rages constantly, you are just a mere commoner wanting to survive. They’re not your battles to be fought, yet in a world where the kingdoms never seizes to be at odds with one another, survival isn’t guaranteed. A local guild offers work for those considering themselves adventurers. You are hire to retrieve a family heirloom from a village that was decimated by a recent battle. While there is no eminent threat or any indications of more battles to happen there, venturing there will still be perilous. Will you find what you’re looking for? Long Version: Keocorra was once a land of peace, or so the elders teach to the youth to give them hope. They have never witnessed such an age. Even among the most long-living species, no one is alive to remember. Not even the Gods recall a time where there was peace. Perhaps it had never existed, alas the world burning was just as constant as the rise and fall of the sun. Like most of Keocorra’s people, you could not be further from the people declaring wars and sending their people to their deaths. No, you are as much of a bystander is your own world as the squirrels who bury their nuts on the battlefield and the birds endlessly fleeing from the sounds of battle. Perhaps, like them, you only wish to survive. Or perhaps you wish to help those around you; The fellow bystanders hoping not to end as collateral damage. The Plunderers Guild offers such opportunities. It is perhaps the lands first ever legal criminal organization, based on a technicality of local law no one has the time to adjust: Stealing isn’t legal in any of the kingdoms, of course. That’s clear enough, yet it doesn’t account for a technicality. While a conflict between two kingdoms is in effect, the disputed area, and wherever battles are fought, seizes to belong to anyone. You cannot steal something that doesn’t belong to anyone. “Plundering” describes the act of taking things from battlefields, yet it doesn’t actually qualify as stealing. The things you’re taking don’t legally belong to anyone. Now, it is illegal to be on these battlefields without a valid reason. Aside from being there for battle, there have never been valid reasons…until now. Timore, a kingdom towards the center of the continent, has been steadily losing land as they are fighting battles with kingdoms all around them. While treaties are being drafted, people are still losing their homes in order to have more space to battle. Under pressure from its people, the crown declared that any of its citizens may enter the battlefield if their former homes are now in the no-mans-land. This is where a very witty band of former criminals founded the Plunderer’s guild. Most common folk don’t have the courage or skill to enter the battlefield and return alive, yet, if they have the coin, they can pay someone to go in their place. The guild has strict guidelines and code of conduct, although not everyone follows those rules and how much they are enforced depends on which hub you are hired through. You are hired by the Plunderer’s Guild closest to the Eastern Border of Timore where battle rages with the Elven empire of Turve. Located in the town of Dolion, this hub of the guild is run by a Goliath know as “Ghun”. You are summoned to receive further instructions for your retrieval quest from him at the “Plunderer’s Tavern” at noon. How to join: Now that you have read everything, you may message me on here or directly on Discord @ “jaycy336”. Wherever you message me, please include your name, age, pronouns, experience level and what sparked your interest. I will then ask you some more questions and possibly request to briefly call so I can check your microphone.

Darkest greetings! I am posting this on behalf of my game group. We're 4 european friends who recently finished a D&D campaign. And now we are casting our collective gaze towards the lands of Vampire the Masquerade. We would like to find a decently experienced Storyteller to helm this weekly game of Vampire.  All of us have varying degrees of knowledge of the world and the gameplay. But we're all equally familiar with the fundamentals at least. All of us have fleshed out ideas of our characters. But are still very open to changes and negotiation to make the chronicle smooth from the Storyteller's end.  Feel free to message me here or on Discord. :)

grounded: the helix organizations mistakes

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
The Helix Initiative was introduced to the public as a revolutionary leap in environmental adaptation, biological medicine, and survival science. Officially, the organization claimed it was developing new ways for humanity to survive ecological collapse, disease, and resource shortages. Behind closed doors, however, Helix operated hidden research divisions dedicated to experimentation far beyond legal or ethical limits. Somewhere deep within those divisions, a scientist identified in surviving records only as Dr. W██d████ T████ developed a machine capable of shrinking living organisms to less than an inch tall. The technology was presented internally as a breakthrough in resource efficiency and medical research—but many of the subjects brought into testing were children between the ages of eight and sixteen. Most never returned. You are one of the survivors. After undergoing the procedure, you awaken inside an ordinary city park that has become an impossible wilderness at your scale. Blades of grass tower like trees. Puddles become lakes capable of drowning entire groups. Ants patrol the dirt like armored soldiers, while spiders transform sections of the park into web-choked death zones. Every inch of terrain matters. Every storm is catastrophic. Survival depends on learning how to weaponize the environment itself—crafting tools and defenses from thorns, sap, insect shells, broken plastic, roots, and scavenged debris left behind by previous miniature civilizations that clearly did not survive for long. As you explore deeper into the park, you begin discovering abandoned outposts, collapsed shelters, and fragmented Helix logs detailing increasingly unstable experiments. The records reference attempts to create “evolutions chosen suvivors” capable of evolving beyond normal biological limits. Again and again, one phrase appears alongside heavily censored personnel files: MARROW SYNDROME. The disease slowly destroys the body in stages—first decaying bone tissue, then muscle structure, and finally flooding the lungs with blood. Somewhere among the corrupted files are hints that Dr. W██d████ T████ never joined Helix out of loyalty. Some logs imply he infiltrated the organization to expose its corruption, free the surviving test subjects, and continue researching a cure for a terminally ill child connected to the syndrome. Whether those rumors are true remains uncertain. Helix officially denies the existence of both the disease and the scientist. Not every strange thing in the park comes from Helix laboratories. Survivors occasionally encounter a bizarre figure known only as Rock—a hyper-muscular talking bee obsessed with shouting “MUSCLE” at every possible opportunity. Most groups dismiss him as insane until they realize he understands far more about the park than he should. One moment he acts like a reckless coach forcing terrified children to become stronger, and the next he casually references erased facilities, failed experiments, or “previous attempts” that nobody else remembers. Near the edges of abandoned Helix sectors, Rock sometimes becomes unusually quiet, staring into empty space before muttering warnings that sound less like jokes and more like genuine fear. HE IS WATCHING YOUR EVERY MOVE...

HEY YOU! Do you want any particular species extinct? If so then you came to the right place! Every day on Wednesday 6pm (MST) We are also looking for a GM but I can handle that job for the time being. We make people the GM via wish spell and other things, right now it's a trigestalt at level 23 Heavy combat low RP. Horde fight. Instead of any species you are a Sevranack former species unknown unless specified you are alien to any enviorment, as your species special you have the resilient feat, the durable feat and the remarkable recovery feat You all have UA tunnelfighter. You do not age and you are immune to exaustion Your whole body is made of design the player describes. you will be going through wave battles and it is theater of the mind. You each have legendary uncommon common and a rare item, if you may decide you may have a +2 or +3 weapon but never a +1. - Custom stat array 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, 31 - Physics rules of cool. Every first encounter is a surprise round. This is a gestalt, and we are the pirates pirating rules. No muticlassing, Spellpoints. The party as a collective has UA tunnelfighter and upon a bonus action from any one single sevranack you all take the defensive stance and you hear this capacitor charge sound. Tripple max hp. Bonus action Healing surge All that good stuff. We hope you join.

Looking for people for ttrpg game of Only war converted for TC. Hello, for a while i has been hooked on the world of Trench Crusade and i wanted to do something with it but i quickly dropped d&d as it doesnt feel right for it, so i ended up with Only War system of Warhammer 40k for it. Game is of course using the system of the Only war but weapon, units, armors and magic are remade to be Trench Crusade like, as well allowing custom make for your own warband origin too. Story is very much custom made by me but taking a lot of lore into mind when creating with multiple places to start in and even ability to choose to play as a good or bad guy for the campaign (vote by players and decide if we play Hell or Heaven side) as well as many custom classes and other character creations to go with the theme of Trench Crusade and be less Warhammer 40k. Story time: You are a collection of soldiers or fanatics who join the great war with a vision of a Purple Sun in your dream, a distant, cold and yet still close, close enough to remember and have the image in mind. Something is calling you, now it depends, is it good or a bad thing ? You will delve deep into what this strange and shared dream could mean and where it leads you, salvation or death awaits you. - System: Only war - You will control your character with a small group (1-2 npc) that follow you, - Day and hour of game: Mondays in 8 pm CEST+1 and generally going for 3-4 hours - Newbies or fully new people to this system are welcomed as i can give you all the things you need to learn with few test games to get the feel for the dice system. - I as a DM have a about 8 years of D&D experience with about a 1 year of Only War experience. - I am not native English speaker so i may studder or loose words, beat me about it only a little 😆 - Don't be a skipper, i don't want people who do join and then skip 3/4 games the month. If your Monday's are unstable, don't join please, thank you. (No worry if you have random event that takes you away, its no problem if its not common thing) - looking for about 4 people top. - Using roll20 and discord - Ai pictures are fine by me as i use some too. - Sexual and gory stuff will be happening, not forced but the themes of lewdness might and gore is omnipresent in this setting.

Ashvane

⚔️ ASHVANE — A WORLD WAITING TO BE WRITTEN > *“The world is already moving. The question is whether you move with it… or change its course.”* Hey! We’re looking for players to join **Ashvane**, a homebrew fantasy world built around **politics, war, factions, exploration, and player-driven storytelling.** Ashvane is a dark and gritty world inspired by the likes of **Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings**, but with its own setting, history, factions, cities, conflicts, and secrets. 🌍 A WORLD YOU HELP BUILD Ashvane has a living world with established factions, cities, political tensions, wars, and ongoing conflicts—but not everything is written in stone. Some parts of the world are intentionally left open. **Why? Because your character gets to help fill them in.** Your backstory isn't just something the DM reads and forgets. Your character's homeland, connections, ambitions, enemies, allies, and history can become part of the world itself. The story isn't simply something that happens **to** your character. **You help decide what happens next.** ⚔️ YOUR ACTIONS MATTER Ashvane is designed around player agency. There isn't necessarily a predetermined path you're expected to follow. You can make alliances, pick sides, create enemies, pursue your own ambitions, get involved in faction politics, ignore the main conflict entirely or accidentally start one of your own. The world will react to what you do. **Your choices have consequences.** 🛠️ HOMEBREW & PROGRESSION The campaign also features several custom systems designed to make your character feel like more than just their class: * 🧙 **Homebrew Items** * 👹 **Custom Monsters & Creatures** * ⚒️ **A Full Homebrew Job System** * 📈 **Job progression and training** * 🎭 **Character-focused storytelling** * 🌎 **A world shaped by player decisions** The **Job System** allows characters to develop skills outside of their normal class abilities. Through training and experience, your character can become better at different professions and develop a more diverse skillset over the course of the campaign. Want to become a better blacksmith? Train for it. Want to learn another profession? Work toward it. Your character can grow in ways that aren't limited to simply gaining levels. 🌑 LOOKING FOR... If you enjoy **dark, grimy fantasy**, political intrigue, exploration, character-driven stories, and campaigns where the DM doesn't hold your hand through a predetermined plot... **You'll fit right in.** Whether you’re a veteran player or completely new to D&D, **beginners are welcome.** Come with a character, a backstory, and a reason to enter Ashvane. We'll build the rest of the world together. Interested? **Send me a message!**

On Time's Edge

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
The era of mortals is coming to a close. Time, once a flowing and vast fact of life, is being eaten away by a divine stasis known as The Fog. More than half of the planet and its people have been swallowed by it now, leaving a sparse few beacons of light in the ever growing darkness. Our story begins in the 11th month of the year 3046PS, roughly 60 years after the first sightings of The Fog, as one of the final refugee ships from the west dock in the port city of Punto de Partida. Snow falls upon our fated party as they’re engulfed by the anxious city and its people, having only themselves to fend for against a world nearly frozen. You, dear survivor, live while the timer of the end ticks down. What will you do in the final years of mortals? Will you spend them ignoring the inevitable and indulging in what little comforts are left, or will despair halt you even before stasis arrives? Or maybe you have hope of a miracle, be it from the gods or crafted by your own hands. Just how much, I wonder, would you be willing to lose to save the world? [This campaign is set to be a long-term, slowburn story focused on character development and roleplay. Much of its world, people and cultures are open for players to imagine and make their own, making it perfect for players who love world building and crafting intricate backstories. The story will cover many of the expected topics for a pre/mid apocalyptic setting, as well as heavy themes such as classism, genocide, xenophobia and racisim/speciesism. Other sensitive topics may be covered barring any content that players can choose to veto; my goal as a DM is to make an immersive and realistic world while showing utmost respect to my players while doing so.]

You are newly minted Pathfinders and your first assignment is a foray into the Puddles of Absalom to fetch a codebook.  Sounds simple right?  A one-shot adventure The story is set in the world of Golarion and specifically in the city of Absalom. I am looking for ONE PLAYER to play a pre-generated 2nd level Fighter.  I had one player have to drop out because of real-life work changes.  I am hoping this experience creates new friendships and I am also hoping a desire to play in a longer term, consistent campaign that I want to run. This is a one-shot but I am looking for somebody who would like to play in a longterm consistent campaign.  If you enjoy yourself in this one-shot, the following week we'd hold a Session Zero for a longer term campaign.   I look forward to gaming with you.

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
I am looking for 3–4 players for an open-ended campaign set in the Gundam Universal Century timeline!  we will use Owlbear About the Campaign: Timeline: Starting during the One Year War (OYW) and continuing for as long as the story takes us—until the squad either falls in battle or decides to retire. Player Choice Matters: Your starting faction, objectives, and assets will be dictated by the choices you make as a group. You have the power to change the course of UC history or become another victim of its tragedy. Sandbox & Dynamic Storytelling: This is a heavy sandbox campaign. I love building the world around player motivations and goals. Some sessions will be purely character-driven roleplay with little to no combat, while others will drop you straight into gritty, intense battlefields. Custom Art: As a GM bonus, I can provide custom sprite art for your custom Mobile Suits and potentially your characters! What I Ask from Players: Patience & Feedback: I am a first-time GM stepping over to the other side of the screen for my first full campaign (after running a couple of one-shots). I might make mistakes, but I am very open to constructive tips and feedback! Roleplay Focus: We are here to craft a compelling story together, not just min-max or go on kill streaks. If you want to shape the Universal Century, this is your chance.

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Survival horror, sci-fi  campaign based on the indie game "SIGNALIS" , played with  modified cp-red meccanics. [This table usses a slightly Faster PbP format , especially when It comes to in game conversations] ________________________________ You will find yourselves on the frozen moon of Rotfront, where the Hayades multi-function maintenance station has ceased communication with the outside world and things are taking a strange turn... all while a mysterious state of emergency is declared. In this campaign, you can choose from a wide range of roles based on the survival horror game "SIGNALIS"—a sci-fi communist dystopia featuring retrowave technology. Your characters can be either a Replika (a biomechanical construct based on a mental pattern) or a Gestalt—an ordinary and "free" Eusan citizen. GAMEPLAY: -Roleplay -Combat and scarce resources: Although most CP mechanics will be heavily overshadowed by resource scarcity, the campaign's survival horror mechanics ensure there is never a dull moment. This campaign may contain: gore, sexual/psychological themes, and—above all—cosmic horror; madness is not a matter of "if," but of "how much." (18+) The campaign's homebrew content includes: -Races and models (Gestalt, Replika) -Changes to cyberware compatibility -Addition of a new weapon type (carbine) -Buffs to automatic fire and SMGs; changes to certain rates of fire -Various exotic weapons -Buffs to certain cyberware -Bioresonance mechanics Billing: of course you will never be asked to pay to play or to continue playng, but donations are wellcome and help me keep putting all the effort i put on the games i run. This one's for the Magic the Gathering fans! The Phyrexian Invasion is a myth told at Strixhaven. World-enders conquering plane after plane? Please. Strixhaven is protected by Archaics, the Founder Dragons, and Jadzi the Oracle would absolutely foresee this coming. It's just Warforged from Ebberon causing havoc. You have bigger things to worry about. Like what you're going to present for your Final Project. It's Year 2 at Strixhaven. You've chosen your College and you're looking forward to a fun education. The Prismari Orchestra and Dance clubs will be hosting the Formal at the end of the year and your Final project needs to be started soon if you have any chance at passing this year. You've been recruited to Auxillary for your exemplary showing at Mage Tower last year so that's more work piled on the semester! This new Guest Lecturer, Professor Beleren, seems like an interesting teacher so maybe you'll take some extra lessons after classes? Year 2 at Strixhaven promises to be just as hectic, just as weird, and just as fun as Year 1. The Phyrexian Invasion can stay a scary story for the new batch of First Years. This years biggest threat is passing Advanced Foundations of Magic - Proprioception and Incantations in Stressful Situations. ---------- We are an older group in our 30s/40s looking for someone to join our newest campaign. 3M/1F in the group. Would love to add another female to balance the player dynamic. Expected to run from level 4 to 14-17 over the course of a year or so. I host at my house, using a VTT for maps and 3D minis for creatures/characters We rotate covering meal orders Seeking 1-2 players, especially those more familiar with MTG.

Planar Prison

Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
This game is played Wednesday from 6pm to 930pm EST. A bit about myself,I am in my late thirties, and have dm’d off and on since high school.  When I learned to play the game was still built around the dungeon, so that is what I do.  The challenges within the dungeon are yours to solve however you see fit, so long as it at least kind of makes sense, I give it to you.  I am also not highly punitive of malformed plans, provided the party isn’t being stupidly reckless. I use point buy for stats, and hp can be rolled or average taken, your choice.  The game is 2024 rules and content only. Tend towards rules as written, the rule of cool is all fun and games until a monster uses it on you.  Also DM’s that randomly change stuff after you’ve built your character suck. The game is a level 9 dungeon crawler with some puzzles and hopefully innovative combats.  Not a good game from brand new players  because of the level nine start, multiple magic items, and some tough combats including some custom monsters. There is some puzzle solving in the game as well, intended to challenge the players more than the characters.  The game is a new build of mine and is somewhat ambitious so there may be some wrinkles left to iron out. Follow the rule of thumper, “if you can’t say something nice, don’t say nothin at all”. The game is played on Foundry vtt, no purchase or account setup is required for you, using discord for voice with no video.  The party size is four, and the game is in english because that’s all I speak.  Their website has a demo to see if you like the look of it and to make sure your computer doesn’t give you issues when trying to use it. The game is on Wednesdays, which Wednesday we start depends on how fast I get four players.  Be patient as this time slot isn’t the best for some so it may take a bit. The hook for the game is as follows. A great mage was imprisoned in the Planar Prison, in fact it was built specifically for him centuries ago.  He has broken free and the party needs to go into the prison and charge up a Ring of Planes, attuning it to each of the 15 planes the mage can freely travel to without expending any magical energy.  This will allow the party to chase him across the planes. Portals to each of the planes exist within the prison, and when the mage is inside, his planeswalking is restricted to the small areas of each plane these portals connect to, which is how the prison keeps him inside at all.  Much knowledge about the prison has been lost, but it is known to have the material plane, its reflections, the shadowfell and feywild, plus the four inner planes air, fire, water, and earth.  There are more, but it is not known which ones. The mage is immortal, but if the party can knock him unconscious inside the prison, it will seal him back in.  The Ring of Planes when fully charged can summon the mage with the gate spell.  The mages name is a closely guarded secret to stop people from trying to free him with said gate spell, and will only be given to the party when they are ready to fight him. If you think you are up to the task, then meet at King Gallants castle the morning of the spring solstice and you will be equipped for the task. Gods be with you heroes. If you are interested fill out the form below, all players must be 18+. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScbbhOZwizEPfN_TYI7HUOyKovWvZ0jt8IC0ZOLbmmfPJOibQ/viewform?usp=sharing&ouid=112129187192701314531

Hello! We're a group of 5 players currently seeking a dm to run a long term campaign in the Forgotten Realms! We already have a few character ideas, we just need someone to take us on our journey. We have just a few requirements: Please be over 18! No bigots, we are a queer friendly space. We have a few homebrew races/subclasses we wanted to make, so if you're willing to work with us on some homebrew/maybe house rules as needed, that'd be great. We want to get to at least level 17 at some point, so please be in it for the long haul!

The campaign is going to revolve around the Mournlands of Eberron as it has recently shown signs of expanding, even the this slight expansion imposes great concern over the nations requiring pooled resources and a dedicated team (you) to investigate this phenomenon and possibly find a way to stop it. This is the barebones summary as more will be explained in a session 0 later next week on Saturday same time as the normal sessions will be.

Hello! I'm looking for available players to join my existing group. It's hard to have sessions atm because of a lack of availability with players and the fact ppl keep joining age range for this campaign is 14-17, both experienced players ame beginners are welcome! Most campaigns in the group will be homebrews, so I'm always open to suggestions for the next campaign! We're still pretty early in the first campaign (only 3 sessions in) so i feel comfortable asking people to join. (There currently is no limit on how many can join). \----- Current campaign premise: You all have received golden tickets too this years Carnival. Wether youve stolen, bought, or earned the ticket, you've been chosen! Because of this, a journalist named Aurora has hired you too do some investigation on the inner workings of the magical Carnival. Specifically, the sudden disappearance and replacement of the previous carnival master! Wether you actually investigate or just enjoy your time there is completely up too you, there are many secrets hidden away behind the spectacle of the carnival. something far more grand then a simple missing-persons case... \----- DNI IF: \*you are homophobic, transphohic, racist, etc. This group is extremely diverse in both sexuality and ethnicity so you won't have a good time, i can assure you. \*you're a map, pdf, etc. As i said this entire group is made of minors \*you're into things like incest/stepcest, proshipping/darkshipping, etc. Again you just won't have a good time as the group is against such things. \*over the age of 18+, just to keep things from having the chance of getting weird. I worked really hard on this campaign so please if you join put some effort in! This is my first time DMing so if you have tips/concerns I'm always open. Really anyone is allowed, just don't be "that guy" at the table. I want this group to be something long term so if that doesn't interest you this may not be the group for you. Thank you! All sessions will take place every Sunday at 12:30 CST unless stated otherwise in the GC. The campaign takes place over discord! Tone: Serious, not quite grimdark. Somewhere between GoT and BG3 Hook: In the shadow of the Iron Covenant, you and a group of other heroes struggle against darkness and tyranny! Requirements: 18+ only, reliable attendance, a solid mic/camera, and a willingness to engage with the setting (Lore primers for different subjects available, further info available at request). If interested, send me a DM on Discord and we can hop in a call and chat for a bit! I am about to start running a narrative- / RP-focused Draw Steel game, and am looking for several players to join this new campaign. We meet on weekly Saturdays for 4 hours, 2PM-6PM. We're looking for excited players, newbies more than welcome. We meet online over discord, and use our cameras, and have an in-person session about once a month! Players should be in the DC/NOVA/Southern Maryland area and have the ability to travel once every month or two to Chevy Chase, MD. All levels of experience with Draw Steel (we're all new but are 5e vets)/roleplaying games are welcome. The game I run uses official Draw Steel rules and ancestries in a homebrew world, but I'm open to reviewing homebrew classes and races if that interests you. I'm running an RP-focused game, so if you're more for the Diablo "kill shit get loot" style, it may not be for you. I have worked with my players to make characters who fit into the world, and will do this with anyone who joins! My only pet peeves are people who are never available/flake and complainers. We do not tolerate hate of any kind at the table. We have a list of lines/veils and some cultural fit things in this google doc, but it isn't necessary to read it before reaching out. Culture Doc If you have any questions, or would like to join, please DM me here or on discord (username QuirkyEclipse)!

The Forgotten Forest - Text Based Game (PBP)

Deep within the woods remains a place that maps nor scholars can agree on; it is nothing more than a legend to them, an impossibility. But to you? It's unavoidable. For whatever reason, your feet have now brought you to the edge of the Forgotten Forest… You recall that time moves differently here. It was told to you in stories throughout your childhood, the resting place of faerie magic. Travellers who have sought out the forest but never returned. Was it because it was dangerous or because it was so beautiful they never wanted to return? You remember the tales describing the forest as a paradise for the mythical. Fairies dancing in the twinkling sunlight, great dragons that soar for miles without fear of being seen by the outside world, and creatures thought to be long extinct. What has brought you here? What do you seek? What will you do?  Example From Game:  You now stand at the threshold, the grass shifting from a dull green to a vibrant, glowing emerald. The air smells of jasmine, honey, and cedar. You have found the sanctuary of the old magic… But the woods are completely silent now. As you look back, you realize this is the point of no return. You notice a faint humming in the distance, as if the forest is calling you. Do you answer? What to expect? -Immersive Mystery: your backstory will directly connect with the story -The Shift: high fantasy with dark secrets -PBP: text based story telling and game play -Game Time: mix of "live" texting and asynchronous gameplay -Balance: 70%RP/ 30%Combat

House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.

Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Good day everyone, I am seeking some players for a Chronicles game based on a small fictional island in the UK. The Premise The game will be set in a remote and eccentric university in 1946 England, where the players will be attending. They will start the game as regular mortals and will be exposed to various oddities and strangeness on the isle, putting them in contact with various occult based groups. Eventually this may lead to the players learning magic in a system similar to WoD Sorcerers as they delve deeper into the magic and mysteries of the strange land they now study in. The Time There no specific time set for the game, but I am planning for it to be around 18:00 GMT on Tuesdays, weekly. I am however very open to working with my players to figure out a time that works for everyone. How to Contact If this post interests you please shoot me a message here or on Discord so we can chat and see if you’re a good fit for the game. Can’t wait to hear from you all :)

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Whatever the opposite of a railroaded adventure is, this open-world campaign is that. The rules are simple. The world is complicated. What happens to it is up to the players. You will hear rumors, discover locations, meet competing factions, and encounter problems, but the game will not tell you which direction you must take. Some things the players have chosen to do so far: Join the local mercenaries to learn the ways of the sword as a mage - Retrieve an old lady's purse - Become war chieftain of an orc village - Decapitate a wight with a cursed sword Also some new races that are crafted to play and feel very different: - Pixie - fly, perfect hiding, cast phantasmal forces at will, insults cause physical damage to you - Orc - infra-vision, can recruit monsters more easily Races and classes are kind of blended together. Multiple characters are encouraged. Each choice allows you to do something that appears to let you break the game, while saddling you with something else that seems debilitating. This is by design, and players have come up with a few ways of getting around and abusing these things to the betterment of the story and lore. - Fighting-Man - Doesn't have to actually be a guy, but is a human. Can use all weapons and armor. - Magic-User - Has one spell, one "shot". Can meet with magic learned peers to exchange knowledge. The most notorious spell in the game right now is Charm Person because it doesn't wear off like in later editions. - Cleric - The best of the two above, but must be Good, and by the Law. - Elf - Essentially a Magic-Use/Fighting-Man with extra perks and ties with elves and the ability to sense magic, enhanced senses, etc. but capped at a certain point - Hobbit - Capped early, but can hide flawlessly in urban areas and snipe REAL good with slings. No magic. - Dwarf -  Capped early, but high resistance, good with all axes and hammers, can sense what stone touches and its shape, and ties with and extensive knowledge of dwarven culture and holds. There are major events going on in the background but instead of shoving players in the middle of them, I showcase the developments of those events that come about, for good or ill. The players decide what to investigate, whom to trust, which dangers are worth confronting, and what their characters want to accomplish. How many hirelings do you need to bring with you? How much can you do successfully alone to maximize profit? Play alone, 1-on-1 with DM and player, or up to 10 others at once. The world continues to develop around the party. Factions pursue their own plans, NPCs remember your actions, enemies adapt, settlements can change, and neglected situations may grow better or worse. Player choices can permanently reshape the campaign world. Let me know if you are interested!

Need DM: Curse of Strand Campaign

Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
LGBTQ+ friendly
The table is openly welcoming to LGBTQ+ players.
Hey there! I'm looking to set up a Curse of Strahd campaign and I'm in need of a DM to run it! I already have a list of potential players from a reedit post I made, I'm just waiting on a DM before I reach back out to any of them Little bit about me: my name is Psychi (they/them). I'm a goth, queer, disabled TTRPG player who's been playing DnD for just over a decade, and DMing for about a year now. Despite this, I've never been able to play a COS campaign before. It's always been on my list, but I've never had a DM willing to commit to such a long campaign... 😓 Welp, I just moved to portland a bit ago and I'd love to see if anyone was interested in starting a game with me? I'm hoping for a fun, spooky, queer-friendly experience that doesn't shy away from the horror and upsetting nature of the setting I'm flexible on the location, as long as it's in the portland area and easy to get there via public transportation. I'm also flexible about whatever date/time we end up playing because I want to try and find something that fits with everybodies schedules. Pls feel free to reach out if you're interested in DMing for us 😊

The World of the Occult Underground awaits you - All you need is an idea for a person trying to navigate life in a city full of secrets, and who wants to change the world. -------------------------- Portland, Maine, is an old city with its eye on the future. It's a city of lighthouses, fishing boats, old brick streets, and hidden corners. Tourists see a charming coastal town. As someone who lives there, you see a little deeper. Beneath the restaurants, breweries, and waterfront shops lies another Portland—a city built from obsessions, impossible coincidences, dangerous secrets, and people willing to sacrifice everything for what they believe in, not just politically but metaphysically. Unknown Portland is a modern supernatural horror campaign using the Unknown Armies 3e TTRPG system. This is a game about putting your mark on the world, but not primarily about fighting monsters, unless injustice, TikTok, or something else you find intolerable about the world counts as a 'monster'. It's a game about discovery, obsession, and making a difference in a world filled with people who are determined to see it remain the same—or who seek to twist it to their own ends. The way forward is rarely clear, and it will be up to you to decide who you agree with, who you oppose, and what kind of future you're willing to fight for. One thing is certain: meaningful change always comes at a cost. What that cost is, and whether you're willing to pay it, are up to you... If you have the courage to step into the ring and make your voice heard. -------------------------- If You Join the Game, You Will Find: Character-Driven Stories Your relationships matter. Friends, lovers, family, rivals, and mentors are not background details—they are the heart of the story. Every connection can become a source of strength, heartbreak, inspiration, or danger. Found Family The people who stand beside you may become more important than the people who raised you. In a city full of secrets, trust is rare and precious. Meaningful Choices There are no perfect solutions. Every victory has consequences. Every sacrifice changes you. The decisions your character makes will leave lasting marks on the city and on the people around them, and even perhaps future games in the world. Mystery and Discovery The occult underground is hidden in plain sight. Every rumor may contain a fragment of truth. Every coincidence might be engineered. Every answer leads to deeper questions. Personal Horror The greatest threats are often the things people do to themselves. Ambition. Obsession. Love. Fear. The supernatural is terrifying, but human choices are what shape that horror. -------------------------- The game is run on Roll20 for tabletop and Discord for Audio/Video. It is streamed and recorded for posterity. Microphones are required, and cameras are encouraged. The game will deal with adult subject matter and may involve trauma. We maintain an open-door policy and are willing to discuss if certain topics hit too close to home. New players are welcome and preferred. We want to introduce you to the Occult Underground and prefer players who are unfamiliar but willing to learn and explore this world. The game is set in Portland, Maine, in 2022. All you need is an idea for a regular person who lives around Portland, Maine. Most PCs are in their mid-twenties, though older characters are certainly possible. -------------------------- This is a mature game focused on emotional storytelling, mystery, supernatural horror, and character development. Violence exists, but the story's focus is on people, relationships, choices, and consequences rather than combat. If you enjoy shows and stories like The Dresden Files, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Magicians, True Detective, The Sandman, or The Magnus Archives, you'll probably feel right at home.

Dawn of Defiance (SW5e)

The Galaxy is Changing. The Clone Wars are over, the Republic has fallen, and the Galactic Empire is tightening its iron grip. Darth Vader hunts the remaining Jedi, and Core World nobles willingly profit from the new regime's tyranny. There is no organized rebellion yet—just isolated sparks, harsh oppression, and a galaxy that tolerates zero opposition. You and your crew find yourselves caught right in the middle of this dangerous new era. With nowhere to run and nowhere to hide, a mistake doesn't just mean failure—it means a one-way trip to Kessel. Can a band of ordinary or desperate souls find a way to strike back against a monolithic threat? Your journey begins with a clandestine meeting with a certain sympathetic Senator from Alderaan... System: SW5e (Star Wars 5e) Setting: 17 BBY (Dawn of Defiance Campaign) Vibe: Gritty, high-stakes rebellion rising from the ashes of the Clone Wars.
