Overview

Cyberpunk RED is the fourth edition of the a tabletop role-playing game system published by R. Talsorian Games in 2020. The story takes place in the near-future of 2045 following the events of the Fourth Corporate War. The period for the game's storyline is named the "Time of the Red" due to atmospheric pollution. The system it directly evolved from is
Cyberpunk 2020
Description Players in the game are referred to as "Edgerunners". They are mercenaries, criminals, and specialists living in the metropolis of Night City. The games focus on completing jobs and surviving in a megacorporations and street gangs controlled society. As the global supply chain has collapsed, resources are scarce and players must often rely on black-market brokers, known as Fixers, to find their equipment, weapons, and armor. Cybernetic body modifications are a recurring topic in the game, with the emphasis on the risks of enhancing one's body and mind with. System Overview & Key Features
Core Dice Mechanic (Interlock System) The game uses a Interlock System. An action's success is determined with a a ten-sided die (d10) and adding the relevant Statistic and Skill rating. The total is compared against a Difficulty Value (DV).
Lifepath Generation When creating a character, the player can either roll or manually pick various options from the "Lifepath" tables. The choices made will define the character's cultural background, their family history, romantic relationships, and potential enemies. This is a built-in method of creating an immersive and entangled character backstory.
Roles and Special Abilities Characters are defined by their "Role," which is a the game's class system. Players have a choice between ten different roles: Solo (combat specialist), Netrunner (hacker), and Medtech (doctor). Every role has their unique Special Ability which gives them unique gameplay mechanics.
Combat and Armor Combat in Cyberpunk RED relies heavily on their body armor rather than high hit point totals. If an attack successfully penetrates a character's armor, the armor's defensive rating is permanently lowered by one point. This mechanic makes extended combat encounters dangerous and forces players to consider alternative approaches.
Netrunning The game's hacking rules require Netrunners to be physically close to the computer systems they want to breach. In the setting, the global internet was destroyed, meaning remote hacking is no longer possible.
Cyberware and Humanity Players can install cybernetic implants into their characters to gain new abilities or improve their stats. Every implant reduces a character's Humanity, which subsequently lowers their Empathy . If a character's Humanity reaches zero, they develop a condition called Cyberpsychosis. This generally results in the player permanently losing control of their character and no longer being able to play them.

ELEVATOR PITCH: Supernatural and Cryptids themed Cyberpunk Red SCHEDULE: Wednesdays from 7:00pm-9:30pm cst LENGTH of GAME: Weekly / 2-3 hours PLATFORM: Discord and Fantasy Grounds VTT GAME DESCRIPTION: Something strange is afoot in Night City circa 2056. The fourth corporate war has ended and the rebuilding of the former combat zones is in mid swing. Gangs still control great amounts of territory but NCPD and the current government is taking steps to intervene and take their city back. Johnny Silverhand and Samurai are considered classics verging on "Dad Rock" and a young V is still learning their times-tables. Night City is far from calm however. the radiation zones have been cleaned, but the bombs may have caused something beneath to stir. The corporate war allowed some keen eyed and interested parties to maneuver themselves in to new positions of power. The reconstruction efforts have pushed territory lines not just for the gangs but the hunting grounds of things normally unseen. The poser gang modeling themselves as werewolves might not be posing. The rumors about that alligator in the sewer are only half right, its actually a whole trade city. And if some people are reporting seeing doorways to unspeakable worlds down alleyways maybe thats why Kiroshi is pushing their update to the latest optics firmware so harshly. But Night City is Night City and work still needs to get done. Fixers still have jobs, even if they have a few unexpected quirks. Besides those teeth arent actually real, they're just cyberware... right? ...Right? ADDITIONAL INFO: We are a relatively un-serious group (Previous characters consisting of a underground musician dressed in shaman robes, a doctor more prone to drinking the antiseptic alcohol than using it on his patients and an engineer convinced he's a wizard and his inventions are magic) with a great deal of combined RPG experience behind us, however we are all relatively new to the Cyberpunk Red system and Fantasy Grounds VTT itself so we're taking it casual and happily making mistakes together as we feel out the rules and we are happy to bring on more to get to know this system with us! We alternate between Theatre of Mind and VTT being used for larger set pieces We are hoping to add one or two more players to the early stages of our brand new campaign. Players should be Adults, mid-20s or older and open to collaborative gaming and the 'spotlight' moving from person to person depending on the session and jobs that differ in style.

Hey there, everyone. So my normal session got canceled this upcoming week, but I am itching for too much for some cyberpunk to not roll some dice. So here is the Gig, you are in the middle of a bank heist in the Glen, that is most certainly turning out to be more than it seems. What do you fight for, and will you get to the end, or will this be where your story ends? You’ll make a Calculated option for a character on the Cyberpunk Red companion, starting with 5k total eddies to spend and 1,000 IP to spend after creation as well (Or you can ask me to build the idea for you if new, and I can guide you through the steps). Additionally, this will be run on Foundry, which is my first time in the DM seat on Foundry compared to Roll20, so there may be occasional hiccups in that regard, but it’ll be a good test on my end. Lastly, we will incorporate some house rules into the game and give a quick rundown at the start of how they will be used (Examples: Akimbo replacing Autofire as a 2x skill, Netrunner revised, and Armor rules). You don’t have to memorize them since it’s just a one-shot, and I can handle the necessary adjustments. Intro Scene: Rain falls between corporate skyscrapers as AVs drift overhead, a giant holo-ad on a nearby tower flickers: “Your Future, Your Security. Your Trust”. As traffic crawls through the streets below, no one seems to notice the armored van pulling into the bank’s underground parking structure, no one hears the encrypted call that just ended, and no one knows that today… Today is going to be a really special day. Hello I am Mael. I have like half a decade of experience in playing ttrpgs. I can usually do a session later in day since my schedule is decently light. I dont really have that many reservations about anything, just you know treat it with respect if its a sensitive topic.

I'm Izzy. 28. They/it.  I have over 10 years of experience in the tabletop space. On/off over the years with playing as finding groups that stay together takes time.  I have played in 2 completed 5e dnd campaigns that lasted over 2 years separately. Rime of the Frostmaiden & a homebrew Strahd campaign.  I will happily play in 5e & 5.5e games, though I have had an increased interest in p2fe/p2fre!  Tabletop games i have liked and played, would play again: 5e, pf2e, Vampire the Masquerade, Monster of the Week, Monsterhearts, Wanderhome, Call of Cthulhu  Tabletops I have not played but would be interested in: Blades in the Dark, Scum and Villainy, other Powered by the Apocalypse games or Forged in the Dark games, pf1e, Werewolf the Apocalypse, other World of Darkness games, Cyberpunk Red, etc etc My main goal as a player is to be a group player, to be someone that is wholly on the team with the other players! I love the collaborative nature of tabletop most, and why I always hold myself to be flexible and prioritize everyone's enjoyment and keep the table flowing! My characrer ideas are always many, but playing a characrer to the T is not a priority in the sense; that if it disrupts the flow and story of the table or conflicts wirh the group? Then I scrap that idea or develop the character different to mesh better!

Run the session. Loracle keeps the record. It listens in your Discord voice channel, writes the recap, builds a cross-linked wiki of everyone and everywhere your party touches, and posts the whole thing back to your table, usually before the last player has logged off. /images/general-media/1785073374_bb9Li6iE.webp The recap writes itself. Loracle transcribes each speaker separately and works out who said what — including which NPC you were doing the voice for. Then it writes the same four sections every week, so your table always knows where to look. It comes to you in Discord. Loracle is a Discord bot, not a website you have to remember to visit. The recap arrives in the channel where your table already argues about initiative order, and the campaign is queryable from that same message box. A wiki that builds itself. You have never once wanted to sit down after a session and write encyclopedia entries. Loracle does it from the transcript: every name that mattered gets a page, and every page knows about the others. Ask it anything. Six months of play is a lot of hours to scrub through. Ask the question the way you would say it out loud, and get the answer with a receipt attached. See the campaign from every angle. Session by session is only one view of a story. Loracle also gives you the shape of the whole thing — where the weight sits, what has gone quiet, and what is still owed a payoff. Your story stays yours. Everything Loracle writes about your campaign can leave with you, in formats you can actually use — and what you choose to show the outside world stops well short of your table’s private business.
