Star Wars FFG/EoE Mondays 8PM EST.

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
**Edge of the Empire:** Edge of the Empire is an excellent TTRPG which uses a unique dice system to help aid in the story telling. It is part of the larger Fantasy Flight Games Star Wars RPG, a collection of 3 interchangeable and mixable systems, which include Age of Rebellion, Edge of the Empire and Force and Destiny. Set after the Battle of Yavin, at the height of the Galactic Civil War, Edge of the Empire focuses on the outlaws at the outskirts of the “civilized” Galactic Empire. Smugglers, Bounty Hunters, Thieves, Assassins, Frontier Doctors, Settlers and Local Politicians all seek to carve out a life for themselves at the furthest reaches of the galaxy. However even as the Rebel Alliance fights their uphill battle against the Empire, the Empire’s reach continues to grow. Will you learn to coexist with the Empire or hide from them? Perhaps even aid the growing Rebellion? Your group will have to chart the best path forward themselves! Mondays 8:00pm Eastern **Note in Regards to a Fresh Start:** As this has been a long term campaign so far, with a good amount of story/history for the characters, and a high experience level, we understand it may be offputting for potential new players. Because of that, we wish to make it clear that our priority is filling out the party with a group that has good chemistry and shared goals. To facilitate that, both the players and I are willing to start completely fresh, even if we love the narrative we have crafted so far. We had an idea for a new campaign that everyone likes although we are also willing to consider other options. The potential new campaign would start during the dying days of the Clone Wars. The party would be made up of Clone Troopers, Non-Clone Soldiers, perhaps a Jedi Padawan or two, and any other type of character who would be working closely with such a group. The idea is to have a few missions/arcs during those days of the Clone Wars, culminating in Order 66. Then we would have a time skip of about 3-5 years to the early days of the Empire where the players would describe/narrate what their characters have been up to from Order 66 to the current times. They will reunite and begin to work together to carve out a living under the new regime, whether that be by joining in early rebel activity, or drifting to the underworld on the outskirts of the Empire. Any Jedi Padawan characters would lose their lightsabers in this time skip, and have it be a long term goal to build/reacquire one if they wish. The time skip would also include a small XP bonus. Either way, we look forward to meeting some new players, and figuring out what kind of campaign we wish to play together! **The Campaign So Far** This is a long term campaign with no planned end. The group has played through the introductory adventures "Escape from Mos Shuuta" followed by "Long Arm of the Hutt", then “The Jewel of Yavin". They have most recently finished "Beyond the Rim”, one of the bigger adventures for the system. In between major adventures they have hunted bounties, raced swoop bikes and smuggled the Corellian Shuffle. The immediate future is wide open, with no plans for any major adventures for a while, as we focus on the consequences of the character’s actions throughout the campaign and deal with aspects of their backstories. The party includes Cashar Brut who is a Falleen Smuggler/Pilot and Ruug the Shistavanen Bounty Hunter. ## The Game: -New Players are welcomed and will be assisted, whether you are new to Roll20 or the Star Wars RPG! -Although the Star Wars RPG uses proprietary dice, its mechanics are often quite intuitive. Our group has been playing since Apr. 2025, and at this point we feel comfortable enough to bring in and teach new players. **No experience required!** -Despite being a major fan of battlemaps and tactical combat in other systems, I often find that Theater of the Mind works exceptionally well with the Star Wars RPG. Battlemaps will still show up for some more involved combats, but many can be resolved in a short amount of the time with no visual aids necessary. -New characters will start at the same experience level as the party. Star Wars RPG has a very interesting character building system that does not rely on levels, but purchasing skills and talents with accumulated XP, with easy access to different character classes to branch out! Currently at 805 earned XP. -We will have a split Session 0/New Player introduction session, to help new players learn the game and help them fit in with the party. This session will be free. -Sessions will last 3 hours. -Discord for Voice Chat. ## Your DM: -I started with TTRPGs by running 5th Edition D&D. In 2019, I transitioned into running paid games as a full time job, and have been running 3-5 games a week since. I started running the Star Wars RPG in Apr. 2025 as previously mentioned. -Available nearly 24/7, excluding my sleep hours. Always willing to answer questions. -Good Connection/Headset/Microphone. ## What is expected of you? -Respect is a must and I will not tolerate player conflicts, PVP, or any type of disrespectful behavior towards the other players. No graphic sexual content. Players who violate this Social Contract will be removed with no refund. -Be on time, as this is basic respect for myself and the others. Missing a session will be allowed with prior notice, with no charge. Sessions will still go forward as long as we have 3 players and no major plot moments. Players who have issues with attendance will be removed with no refund. -Have a reasonable quality microphone (be intelligible), Discord and use push to talk. (I can assist you in setting this up). ## Pay to Play: -20$ Per Player Per Session (Excluding Session 0), paid via Paypal in advance. **Session 0 is free. Please reach out via DM to join or with any questions**

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
**Quest for the Frozen Flame:** In the brutal tundra of the Realm of the Mammoth Lords, only the hardiest folk have what it takes to withstand unsparing weather, track down big game, and fight back hostile followings. The Broken Tusk following has survived another winter, but a new year just began, and signs of danger foretell a year unlike any before. Unless their newest party of scouts can secure a safe route through the wilds, saber-toothed beasts, warmongering rivals, and the ever-looming possibility of natural disaster all threaten to end an ancient people’s legacy. Will the Broken Tusks succumb to the elements and surrender to their rivals? Or will you guide your following to glory and reclaim a stolen birthright? ## The Game: -We will hold a Session 0 to get to know each other, and work on character creation/party formation. **Session 0 will be free**. -New Players are welcomed and will be assisted, whether you are new to Foundry or Pathfinder 2e! -“In this campaign for Pathfinder Second Edition, you’ll lead your fellow hunter-gatherers across primordial lands, face off against dinosaurs and megafauna, and unearth the legendary past of your ancient people.” -Quest for the Frozen Flame Player's Guide -Quest for the Frozen Flame is a stone-age adventure with a more structured 1st and 3rd act and a hex-crawl heavy second act. It has some flaws as written, mainly due to scarcity of loot which I will be directly adressing. -The unique setting/atmosphere lends itself to roleplaying and challenges not normally seen in your typical medievel high-fantasy, which should be a nice break for those with standard setting burnout. -**The Adventure will take you from level 1 to 11.** -I consider myself skilled at running interesting/challenging combat. I will customize the difficulty of the combat based on the party’s wishes/composition. -Sessions will last around 3 hours. -Discord for Voice Chat. -The Foundry Module for this adventure will be used. ## Your DM: -7 Year’s Experience Running DND 5th Edition. 5 years as a professional DM. Currently Run: 5e, PF2e, SF2e, Star Wars FFG. -Available nearly 24/7, excluding my sleep hours. Always willing to answer questions. ## What is expected of you? -Respect is a must and I will not tolerate player conflicts, PVP, or any type of disrespectful behavior towards the other players. Howdy hi!! Shut-in world builder wizard here, just looking for cool people to bring to me and friends' online table for a bespoke variation of 3.5e D&D that focuses less on min-maxing/power-scaling and more on curiosity of the player, experimentation and a whole new toy box of fresh mechanics to dive into! Some of those mechanics share DNA with 5-5.5e concepts and might be familiar to players coming in from the most recent editions, and others have been forged from the mad scientist lab sessions of me and mine over several campaigns! We've got weird new races--psychic plant people, immortal deer fey, juggernaught dwarf-orc hybrids, sentient amnesiac undead, need I go on?! We've got intriguing reworks on old classics-- broad new specialization AND generalization options for casters, exciting new martial feats for bruisers of all types, and much needed re-balances for the discrepancies between Druid and Ranger! We've got an in-house, homemade character sheet template made in Microsoft Excel that tracks your bonuses, debuffs, gear weight, weapon rolls and all your stats in real time! We've got an entirely homebrewed, simple to understand, elemental damage counter system with a table of effects that completely turns the nature of how players and enemies utilize different damage types on its head! All this, and a chill, low-stress, inclusive table of nerds too! Sound good? Then give the profile a poke, and come see if your new favorite homebrewed TTRPG system will be ours! =)

Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
The mists hide a world plundged into darkness for centuries. A dark lord has control of this cursed land. Those who are strong can escape the mists. Hello all, I am Michael.  I am starting a new campaign playing within the world of Ravenloft. This a gothic horror story that is traumatic and a fun time. This is a roleplay heavy campaign with intense combat encounters and plenty of chances for exploration. This is my third time running the campaign and I am excited to see what a new group of adventurers will make of this land.  This is good campaign to start your D&D journey as it starts at low levels and you learn as we play. So if you enjoy a fun and scary time at the virtual table then this is the game for you. Gothic Horror, High Fantasy, and Eldritch Horrors Level 1-10, with possibilities of higher levels depending on the game Go from ragtag adventurers. Unravel villain motivations, fend off living and undead threats that haunt the land, and confront one of the most famous villains. Strahd Von Zarovich. This campaign uses the best of the plot lines of Curse of Strahd: Reloded rounded out with additional materials, and characters backstories. To join this campaign, or if you're looking for other long-term adventures for D&D 5e campaigns to have a good time in. Welcome to Vaeloria!

Welcome to Vaeloria! Generations ago, the Underfolk rose up in a crusade that failed. What followed was worse than the war itself: subjugation under House Xanos, a wound that still hasn't closed. Some Vaelorians have grown kinder to the Underfolk races over he years since, but many haven't. Beneath the surface of every gleaming city, from Eryndell's towers of scholarship, to Thalor's living canopy to Vaeloris Prime's golden halls, something is not quite right. But you don't know any of that yet. Right now, you're just trying to survive a forced labor camp you shouldn't be in. A stranger has given you a piece of paper, asking to meet with a few others in the common room that night.  What to expect: - A homebrew D&D 5e (2024 rules) campaign blending political intrigue, personal stakes, and genuine moral grey areas - Combat that hits hard, mysteries that reward paying attention, and choices that don't come with a clearly right answer - A slow-burn story, secrets are meant to be uncovered, not handed to you This campaign will include a lot ot homebrew items and monsters.

LGBTQ+ friendly
The table is openly welcoming to LGBTQ+ players.
Looking for players for a CWN campaign tentatively titled “Chrome Fires Burning.” Voice is on Discord, VTT will probably be roll20. Everyone is welcome, the only rule is don’t be a dick. Games will be Sunday nights at 9PM CST Elevator pitch is as follows: The year is 2072. In 2025 the development of a new drug, ephemerol, lead to unbelievable advances in cybernetics and technological implantation. Able to bridge the gap between the nervous system and machine circuitry, ephemerol was hailed as a miracle drug, ushering in a new age of transhumanism However, before this new technological golden age could be upon us, it was smothered in the cradle by corporate greed. A jealousy guarded secret, the corporations who developed it held the formula for the miracle drug hostage, demanding corporate sovereignty in exchange for granting access to the masses. A combination of public promises, lobbyists, and paid politicians ensured this deal went through The gift became a double edged sword as the drug was distributed, only working with the cybernetics supplied by those corporations granted sovereignty, allowing them to gobble up more and more influence, to the point that entire cities have become little more than corporate towns, beholden to the companies that own them Within these sovereign territories, anything that threatens the bottom line is meet with brutal consequences. The workers who decided to rise up, to unionize, were branded criminals and domestic terrorists, locked away if not executed in a back alley Public utilities have been sold off little by little, leaving those who refuse the hand of the corporations with rapidly dwindling resources. The once mighty governments of the world now forced to bend the knee to the oligarchs Gangs run rampant, acting with impunity as long as their dues are paid, or left to their own devices due to lack of resources to stop them Despite this turmoil, there is new opportunity. Companies now fight a desperate war for market share, managers willing to pay to sabotage one another for the next promotion. Money talks, and right now, it’s screaming Chicago is one such battleground. Built into a shining edifice as the headquarters of several massive corporations, it now resembles a patchwork of countries, as each corporation claims sovereign territory within the blocks of city property it lays claim to. A hub of trade even in this time, boardroom battles spill out on to the streets, bullet and blade picking up where ink and negotiation fail

Saturday, 7PM +2 GMT, biweekly, 20$ per session  Foundry + Discord Sign up on Startplaying HERE --- Misty Vale was covered by mist for a long time. Within those mists only ruins remained of empire long forgotten. Now the mist is no more and you heard that the treasures hidden within it are to be found and claimed! In this Dragonbane campaign, you will explore dangerous wilderness, ancient tombs, monster-infested dungeons, abandoned villages, and mysterious strongholds. Every expedition carries risk. Supplies run low, monsters hunt the roads, and greed often proves deadlier than steel. The campaign combines classic fantasy adventure with open exploration, deadly combat, strange magic, and opportunities for both heroism and disaster. My games focus on atmosphere, player-driven choices, immersive roleplay, and fast-paced cinematic action. Dragonbane rewards creativity, clever plans, and bold decisions over perfect character builds. Expect dangerous journeys, memorable NPCs, dark humor, tense combat, and a living world that reacts to your successes and failures. This game is ideal for players who enjoy old-school fantasy adventures, exploration-heavy campaigns, and stories shaped by risk and discovery. Dragonbane is enjoyable by both grognards wishing to try something new but with a familiar taste and new players alike. No prior experience with Dragonbane is needed — new players are welcome, but survival is never guaranteed.

What Hides in Mountain Stone

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Hello everyone, Alex here! I am a new GM on Start Playing, and I am looking for players for my mini campaign. I am hoping to become a full-time GM and figured this was the best way to start. A bit about me: I've been a GM for 7 years. I am an artist, illustrator, animator, voice actor, and writer. And I absolutely love roleplaying!  Game Premise: In the world of Anangnibi (pronounced Ah-nahng-nee-bee) there looms a threat to the local towns and villages outside of a major port city called Agonan Mizhakwad (pronounced Ah-goh-nahn Meez-hahk-wahd). Reports of attacks have become more frequent and many have claimed to see a flying creature up within the mountains. Maps indicate that there is an old fort that has been empty for quite some time in the area. The local authorities have put up a reward for heroes to go and investigate the area and find out what has been happening. You as the heroes will find yourselves walking into the mountains to find the old hold, and once you get there, you'll find out that you have gotten far more than you bargained for. Who, or what, awaits within the halls of old abandoned stone? And will you survive the secrets within? Or will you be claimed by death much the same as those of the poor raided villages? Death lurks here, cold and indifferent like the sitting stone. You will need your strength and wit if you want to survive. So be prepared to face the challenges and discover the mystery of what hides within the mountain stone. Game Price: $25 per person  Session count: 1-3 sessions Session length: 4-5 hours Player Character Level: 5 System: D&D 5E Sourcebooks accepted: PHB 14, XGE, TCE, VGM (Other sourcebooks are open to discussion) Homebrew and 3rd Party: Open to discussion More information and details about the game can be found here on the Start Playing post: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmt21mabu0037l404tjn7c32u?ref=cmrmikhi800frl704k6ca84nl  Content warning: While I am a newbie player friendly DM/GM, the game I am running is a DEADLY game with a DEADLY dungeon; your characters have a high chance of dying. Please keep that in mind for this game. If you are not okay with character death, this may not be the game for you.  If you have any additional questions, please feel free to message me, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.  You can also get some more general information about me as a GM, as well as read previous player reviews through my Start Playing GM Profile here:  https://startplaying.games/gm/alexthedmpanda Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Sunday +2 GMT, biweekly, 20$ per session Foundry + Discord Sign up on Startplaying HERE - You are part of secret government organization that deals with unnatural threats and protects the world from experiences you will need to live for the rest of your life. Conducting a Delta Green operation is like an immune system response; you must identify and destroy the infection before it kills the body. This campaign comprises of six operations for new and old Delta Green players that would like to face reality where lovecraftian monstrosities are more down to earth then you would think. You can join for all of them as one ongoing cycle or pick and choose which operations you would like to be part of - check "party notes" below to see which operation is currently played. • Reverberations: Reverb is back in Chicago. Users vanish, leaving wrecked rooms behind. Stop the source of this unnatural threat. • Viscid: A geneticist dies in Seattle. Unnatural "Blue Blood" is spreading. Confront a lethal conspiracy before it’s too late. • Music From a Darkened Room: 18 people died at 1206 Spooner Ave. An agent just joined them. Enter the house that is cold, alive, and hungry. • Extremophilia: A deputy dies of poisoning in Montana. Stop a contagious threat before you become its next vector. • The Star Chamber: Adjudicate a mission in Myanmar. Replay choices to find the truth: did they betray humanity to the Tcho-Tchos? • Observer Effect: A lab looked too deeply into reality. Isolate the staffers before a mindless chaos consumes our existence. Never played Delta Green? Don't worry - game is simple and you will pick up the system as we play! We will kick off with session zero to agree on table rules and expectations. Before joining be aware that this game is for mature players and will involve difficult moral decisions as well as might involve emotional roleplaying about human relations and their slow degradation. It is not a happy game about killing monsters. It is a game about consequences. This is an ongoing campaign. We finished Viscid and are looking for fresh blood to start Music From a Darkened Room.

Spinward Vanguard: a punk space opera

The worldbuilding is mostly based on Stellaris (a toolboxy 4X video game), but I have zoomed into the gritty aftermath of the galaxy where every endgame crisis has already happened and the political structure has collapsed. The Stormtossed Commune At the start of the campaign, players will belong to the Stormtossed Commune. We are fanatic egalitarian and xenophile space pirates operating with the "shared burdens" civic. The Commune was founded 100 years ago by pirates who rebelled against a slaver megacorp called Minamar Specialized Industries. It is currently led by our First Speaker, Nightshade, a non-binary punk rocker who, in addition to governing, takes on a lot of odd jobs around the commune, from veterinary medicine to spaceship maintenance (and always seems to know exactly what they are doing). The Setting & The Threat The Stormtossed founded their commune in a remote location on the planet Breakwater. It sits on the edge of The Indigo, a storm of unnavigable psionic chaos that destroyed a star-faring civilization of space elves called the Isilfar Republic. Now, The Indigo has cleared, revealing the ruins of that society and its incredibly valuable "pre-tech" technology from before the collapse that current manufacturing infrastructure can no longer produce. A megacorp alliance called the Prosperity Axis (including Minamar, Harmonium, and Providence) is looking to exploit the newly opened Isilfar Spinward Frontier. The Stormtossed are in their way, sitting on a planet that would make a highly valuable beachhead. Your Mission Nightshade has gathered a crew of adventurous experts to go into the frontier and find lost technology that could help the Stormtossed resist and disrupt the megacorps and their exploitation. Captain Bax will be leading them as captain of The Vanguard.

College Greymore

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
College Greymore is a wizard school roleplaying game set in 1912, during the last few years of the Belle Epoque. Play as young wizards in their mid teens beginning their studies for the first time. Its safe to say that if your character fits into Harry Potter, then with a few trivial alterations it will fit here as well. Custom made RPG system based on d6 dice pooling similar to Alien RPG. No reading of rules required to play, everything you need to know will be learned as we play during the first few sessions. Game consists of attending classes to learn skills and spells, adventuring with friends, uncovering mysteries that should have been left dormant, arriving late to exams without any knowledge of the subject matter, getting killed or worse, expelled, losing the housecup by a longshot, only to have the headmaster award 100 points in the very last minute, completely overturning the results, and maybe, just maybe, graduating at the end of it all with your body and mind still relatively intact. 17$ per session, first 2 sessions are free. Any games where we don't have at least 3 players at the table are also refunded, even if we end up playing with 2. Finally, if you did not have fun at the table and would like to leave the campaign, last session is also refunded. Its possible to listen in on a game before joining.

House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
The Throne of Solaris The golden spires of Hellios still catch the morning light, just as they have for a thousand years. The Sun Banner still flies above the Imperial Palace. The hymns of the Church of the Sun still rise from a hundred temples. Outwardly, the heart of the Solarian Empire beats as it always has. But the Sun-Blood no longer sits the throne. Emperor Aurelius, last living descendant of the Sun God in the direct line, lies silent in the Solar Chamber. Physicians, priests, and arcanists have come and gone. None can wake him. None can even name the strange lethargy that holds him. Until he recovers—or until the bloodline is secured—the empire cannot rule itself. The Imperial Council has therefore invoked the ancient right of Regency. Five names now stand before the empty throne, each backed by power, gold, steel, or faith: Edward, Duke of Gryphon — Master of the Merchants’ Guild and Head of the Librarium. Leontis, Viscount of Neolum — Son of the Archon and Grand Crusader of the Church of the Sun. Septimus, Prince of the Capital District — Captain of the Royal Guard. Stephan, Archduke of Ironheim — Master of the Forges and champion of the common folk. Zadakiel, Marquess of Fellgahv — Head Justiciary and Grand Master of the Order of the Black Wing Knights. Each claims the right to speak for the sleeping Emperor. Each has allies who would see their candidate elevated—and rivals who would see them fall. The court is a web of whispered deals, old grudges, and carefully measured smiles. Blood has not yet been spilled in the marble halls… but the air is thick with the promise of it. You are not the great lords. You are the ones who move between them: investigators, diplomats, agents, and observers with the skill—and the opportunity—to learn what others will not say aloud. The Council will not appoint a Regent in ignorance. Someone must cut through the intrigue, expose the truth behind each claim, and guide the choice toward stability rather than civil war. The sun still rises over Hellios. How long it continues to shine may depend on what you uncover in the shadows of its court.

"Sweetness" is an investigative game set in Tampa, Florida, about a Delta Green operation on the case of an attacked Bernier family — there was a fire and a symbol carved into the family's front door. The local police think it's a hate crime. The Delta Green thinks differently. You will play agents who are going to investigate an ordinary family with strange events happening around them. You have to conduct interviews, do legwork, do some research, do some surveillance, and try to figure out what information is important, and what things should stay mysterious forever. Duration: 4- 4.5 hours Cost: $15 a seat Link: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmtzj7wb600bhl604uvonc8zf

Threshhold: Chapter 4

It's a modern-day D&D campaign largely using 5e/Homebrew game mechanics. A deck of crystal cards suddenly appeared on Earth and give their holders Avatar forms and class abilities. The character dynamic is pretty in depth, I'm essentially running a dating sim, slice of life, along side Dungeons and Dragons. Must be willing to use Discord for chat and DnD Beyond "Maps". We keep everything classy *pinky up*, however this is definitly for 21+ age group if only for comprehension skills. I've taught all 3 of my permanent players as well as integrated and disintegrated many players with varying TTRPG experience. I am a character killer DM, I am also a very good story teller and have SO MUCH MATERIAL. I've read a lot of the Drizzt series and tend reference things (names, items, and places) -- Also a huge Final Fantasy fan. This game will go on regardless of weither everyone joins or no one joins, I'd love to have a few new people though.      A Drow civilization from a magical inner world has discovered Earth, and we're currently trying to stop an invasion. The party just crossed into the Underdark on the way to Agartha. At first, the story was relatively small. A handful of people discovered cards, learned what they could do, trained together, dealt with other Cardholders, and tried to understand why these things had suddenly appeared.      Then everything went to hell. Giant spiders invaded Amherst. The attacks eventually became large enough that the military was fighting openly in the streets, civilians were being evacuated, and the existence of impossible creatures could no longer be completely hidden from the public. The party discovered that the spiders were connected to the Drow, and that Earth isn't the only world humanity needs to worry about. Beneath our world exists Agartha, an enormous magical inner world filled with the races, monsters, civilizations, and magic you'd normally associate with a fantasy setting. Separating Earth from that world is a single passage called the Threshold. And someone on the other side found it. One of the Five Great Drow Houses of Menzoberranzan discovered Earth, creating the possibility of an invasion against a planet that has virtually no natural defenses against magic. Then the Guardian Force cards appeared. A powerful being called Alexander discovered what was happening and cast the Deck through the Threshold, essentially throwing magical weapons into humanity's hands and hoping the people chosen by them could become strong enough to defend Earth. Things escalated again when a cult on Earth summoned a powerful Drow Priestess from another Great House. She killed the holder of the Odin GF card, took Odin for herself, and attacked Amherst alongside a massive spider horde. The party, other Cardholders, Alexander, and the military eventually brought her down. But defeating her exposed a much bigger problem. Alexander recognized her markings. She wasn't from the House already preparing to invade Earth. That means knowledge of Earth may be spreading among the Drow Houses, and if all five learn that an essentially nonmagical world exists beyond the Threshold, Earth could become the prize in a race between them. That's where the campaign is now, nearing the end of chapter 4. The party has crossed the Threshold and entered the Underdark with Alexander. Their goal is to survive a roughly five-day journey around Menzoberranzan, reach the surface of Agartha, and help Alexander find six legendary heroes powerful enough to stand against what may be coming. Meanwhile, other Cardholders remain on Earth, protecting people, recovering GF cards, finding new Cardholders, and preparing humanity for another attack. So new characters have several natural ways to enter the story. You could be an existing Cardholder we've never met, someone who recently discovered a GF card, someone the Earth team recruits, or potentially someone we encounter in Agartha itself.

Tyranny of Dragons (Rewritten)

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Welcome to the Sword Coast! Enjoy your stay. Just ignore the dragons in the skies and those rumors about a growing cult. System: D&D 5e Campaign: Tyranny of Dragons - Heavily Customized Players: 4–5 Schedule: Wednesdays at 7:00 AM MT Price: $15 per player/session - Session 0 is FREE Session Length: ~3 hours Platforms: D&D Beyond, Roll20 & Discord Experience: New and experienced players are welcome! Who Is Your DM? Hello! My name is Sky. I’m 24 and have been playing Dungeons & Dragons for about 9 years, spending most of that time behind the screen as a Dungeon Master. My games lean heavily toward roleplay, character development, and cooperative narrative storytelling. To me, the characters are the heart of a tabletop RPG. A compelling overarching story matters, but the players and their characters are what make that story memorable. I primarily run homebrew campaigns, though I also enjoy taking published adventures and reshaping them around the party. I want your choices, successes, failures, and backstories to have an actual impact on where the campaign goes. The Campaign - Tyranny of Dragons The Cult of the Dragon is on the move. Settlements across the Sword Coast are being attacked, dragons have begun appearing with alarming frequency, and rumors are spreading of something much larger taking shape behind the scenes. You'll begin relatively small - a group of adventurers caught in the middle of a growing crisis - but the decisions you make may eventually determine the fate of the Sword Coast itself. I’ll be running a heavily customized version of Tyranny of Dragons. The original adventure has a reputation for being fairly linear, so I’ve made significant changes to give players more freedom and allow the story to respond naturally to their decisions and characters. Some elements of the original adventure remain intact, so I ask that players do not read the module ahead of time. Avoiding spoilers will make the experience better for everyone. Your Characters Matter Backstories are highly encouraged. I don't expect you to hand me a 20-page document. Give me enough to understand who your character is, what matters to them, what they fear, what they want, and what might pull them into an adventure. I actively use character backstories when planning the campaign. NPCs, enemies, allies, locations, and unresolved pieces of your character's past may become part of the larger story. Your character should generally fit within the Sword Coast/Forgotten Realms, but I'm flexible with established lore. If you've got an idea that doesn't perfectly fit, talk to me and we'll see what we can do. My only major character restriction is no space-themed or Spelljammer-style concepts, as they don't fit the tone I'm going for with this campaign. What Kind of Table Am I Looking For? I'm looking for 4-5 players who want to stick around and build a long-term campaign together. New players are absolutely welcome. You don't need to know every rule or have years of experience with D&D. Experienced players are just as welcome. What matters more to me is that you're willing to engage with the other players, participate in the story, respect everyone's boundaries, and give other characters their opportunity to shine. I want a table where everyone gets the chance to participate and where we're telling the story together rather than competing for the spotlight. Why Pay to Play? I put considerable preparation into my games outside of the actual session. That includes customized encounters, maps, character backstory integration, NPCs, story development, homebrew content, and adapting future sessions around what the players actually decide to do. I also regularly ask my players for feedback. If something isn't working, I want to know. If something is working, I want to know that too. Payment also helps create a consistent group. One of the biggest problems with long-running online campaigns is players constantly joining and leaving. That becomes especially difficult in a character-driven campaign where PCs are woven into the larger story. I'm looking to build a table that can stick together and tell a complete story. Session 0 Is Free Before anyone pays anything, we'll have a completely free Session 0. We'll use it to: Meet one another and make sure the group vibes well together Discuss expectations and house rules Establish boundaries Talk about the campaign and its tone Discuss character concepts Make sure this is actually the kind of D&D game you're looking for If you already have a character idea, bring it! I'm happy to work with you during Session 0 or over Discord afterward to make your character fit naturally into the campaign. What We'll Use D&D Beyond - Character creation, character sheets, sourcebook sharing, and homebrew content. Roll20 - Our virtual tabletop for maps, encounters, and visual aids. Discord - Voice chat and our main hub for communication between sessions. Interested? If you're looking for a character-driven, roleplay-focused campaign where your backstory and decisions can actually influence the adventure, send me a message. Tell me a little about yourself, including: Your name or what you'd like me to call you Your age Your experience with D&D/TTRPGs What you enjoy most about D&D What you're looking for in a campaign Any character ideas you already have (totally optional) Don't worry about writing me an application essay. I'm mostly looking to see whether we'd be a good fit at the same table. Welcome to the Sword Coast. Try not to get eaten by a dragon.

Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Intro to Terra If you’re coming from Faerûn, think of Terra as a vast continent that used to feel like one big, functioning empire. A tradition of feudalism, with noble "High Lord" houses ruling over their regions. All offering allegiance to a central authority, the most powerful noble house, Arista, and crowned it's leader as the First Lord. So the Legend Goes At the dawn of this world, the Gods watched our people struggle to survive in an unforgiving world - Early settlements decimated by violent storms. Explorers slaughtered by ferocious beasts. To have a chance at survival, these benevolent Gods gifted the lands with powerful spirits. And for the inhabitants, an ability to bond with these spirits. As these lands were conquered, creatures brought over were quickly surpassed by Humans, who found they could tame and even command these spirits. For thousands of years, these settlers fought and struggled to secure as much power for themselves as possible. Anarchy, chaos, and endless bloodshed, with the most vulnerable most at risk. It was not until those wielding the most powerful elemental magic banded together that law and order was able to form. Rather than fighting each other, they spread across the lands in a uniform effort to end the violence. Forming what are now known to be the High Lords of Terra. These High Lords rallied behind the most powerful among them, First Lord of House Arista. For generations, there was peace among the world. Humans across Terra in harmony with one another and their spirit blessings, working together to build great cities, sprawling farmlands, relying on each other for protection. The Civil War starts... Nearly one hundred years ago, tragedy struck when the First Lord passed away, leaving behind two sons with competing claims to the throne. The older son, born of an illegitimate affair with the High Lady of House Kalara, vied for the throne against his younger brother, son to the First Lord's wife. The conflict immediately turned bloody amongst the High Lords. On one side stood the loyalists, supporting House Arista and the rightful heir to the throne as appointed by the King's betrothed. On the other stood the would be usurping traditionalists, who sought to uphold the laws of succession. They rallied behind House Kalara. Now, a century later, the realm remains divided, locked in a never-ending struggle for power and dominance. The loyalist houses of Teos, Retosia, and Pytion stand firm in their support of House Arista, while the traditionalist houses of Sultern, Rhodes, and Toria remain steadfast in their allegiance to House Kalara. As the conflict rages on, the fate of the realm hangs in the balance. One thing is certain - It cannot survive another century of civil war. A Forgotten Evil Stirs... While the realm is torn apart by war, a new shadow rises. Mysterious disappearances reported near the uninhabited forest. Legend of an undisturbed kingdom made of wax in it's center. Ghost stories of an ancient evil laying dormant... now waking up. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello! Looking to stretch myself and finally start a new table with a homebrew I've been putting together for a few years. Looking for players that are in a similar timezone (PST). I'm also a parent, so would be looking for evening sessions after kiddos are asleep (~7pm PST). The world's lore is loosely inspired by Jim Butcher's Codex Alera series, mashed together with Faerun. Familiarity with source material is not required or expected at all. Lore will be provided on this world, and the unique elemental powers ALL characters will have access to... With this world, there will be some restrictions on the Player Characters. All playable characters at this time will be Humans. Most classes are workable, though the system really lends itself to Martials/Half-Casters. I would highly recommend using one of those. I'm not a major Rules Lawyer, big believer in Rule-of-Cool and being adaptable. Improvising and leaning into the roleplay is where the magic happens. There will challenging, purposeful combat but not a meat-grinder style of a campaign. Getting the right dynamic is very important to me, so will definitely be intentional. Would also love some diversity (both in character and out of character) at the table. If this sounds interesting, please reach back out! Would be happy to discuss further and share more info on the lore to make sure it's a good fit. Regardless, best of luck to you on finding the right table. :) Cheers, Windy

Weekdays only, a group decides on day & time Most people will probably play between 16:00 – 21:00 (GMT+0) Will be played in Discord voice chat, "Theatre of the Mind" playstyle (means no VTT) My Discord (weebseatshit) *PREMISE* You are dragged into a dangerous encounter together with other unlucky ones. Now you are bonded whether you want it or not. Since you are a witness, some people want you dead, watch your back(s) & trust no one It's a Forgotten Realms based, custom (homebrew) campaign with an emphasis on story, characters & adventures Some spells that affect game's balance & world, may be forbidden. It'll be discussed Instead of HP you have healthbars, & you don't know how big are your enemies healthbars Spells become cantrips I'll describe locations & looks with little to no details Just like with the books, i'd prefer that every player imagined their own stuff (& because there may be an info that player may not get or just ignore) Only these races are allowed: Human, Elf (Moon, Wood), Dwarf, Goliath, Tiefling (Purple, Pink, Blue), Tystling (a human with cat ears (& eyes)) These classes aren't allowed: Artificer, Barbarian, Monk, Psion A tystling is similar to a cat Monochrome darkvision Enhanced senses: smell, hearing, vision, touch & balance Soft step: walking is almost noiseless (unless a tystling has something noisy on), running is slightly quieter comparing to other races A tystling is shorter than an elf, but taller than a dwarf A tystling is slim like an elf, but lighter than an elf, with smaller muscles. That makes a tystling even more agile & dexterous than an elf, but it's very hard for a tystling to lift or carry medium heavy things

The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
About the Campaign: I have tried doing isekai dnd before, but what I want to do this time around is players being reincarnated as low-level monsters for the first few sessions and then gaining their first levels later down the line. Would be pretty hard game, as monsters would be at disadvantage, but who knows what might come out of it. Planning to also run it as a combat heavy, dungeon survival campaign. Players would be able to evolve their characters with certain circumstances, including sacrificing souls of humanoids for a ritual. This evolution would be a custom mechanic and a way to get extra features both for your race, and your class. About time: I am planning to have sessions run at least 3 hours. This would be 2 different groups at 2 different time. One at Fridays 6 PM EST, another at Saturdays 7 PM EST About DM : I am an experienced DM of 6 years making a new campaign open for new players to join. I'll be happy to teach and explain anything about Dnd. I am happy to accommodate any type of player, as long as they are not disruptive and are not causing issues for me or any other players. I tend to do more RP then Combat, so expect about a 60/40 split, if not 70/30. About cost: I ask for 20 USD payment at least within 24 hours after the session. Refund will be made with reasonable situations as well as refunded at the end of session 1, as that one is a trial, if you're not willing to continue. About character creation: Lvl 1 start. All character can be created before the game or during session 0. Stat will be rolled with a minimum of 70

Pirate Borg seeking 1-2 more players

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Greetings, scoundrels, thieves, rogues, and pirates. I'm running a short to medium length Pirate Borg campaign and looking for 1–2 more players to join the filthy ranks. You'll be thrown into a lethal sandbox in the Caribbean during the Golden Age of Piracy, where war, undead horrors, occult forces, and general madness are dragging the world toward apocalypse. You won't be playing heroic do-gooders. You'll be desperate bastards with loaded pistols, questionable morals, and whatever ambitions you can keep alive long enough to pursue. There is no predetermined story you're expected to follow. Characters are randomly rolled, death is very much on the table, and what you do with the miserable life the dice give you is entirely up to you. Become a legendary pirate. Steal a ship. Hunt horrors for silver. Get filthy rich. Become an exotic undead drug kingpin. Start a war. Or simply try to survive the end of the world. I've already got three solid players, and we're setting sail next Monday. Sessions run weekly on Mondays at 7 PM PT for roughly 3–4 hours, using Foundry with Discord for voice. The crew is established and the game is happening, no weeks of session zeros or waiting around to get things off the ground. Pirate Borg is rules-light and easy to learn; no experience is required. Roll a character. Play next Monday. If you're interested, shoot me a DM with a little about yourself, why you want to join, and what you're hoping to get out of the game. We'll go from there. Bring rum. Bring powder. Bring a spare character.

Iron Gods campaign Pathfinder 1e, some homebrew

PF1e tends to be combat focused, lots of teamwork, but there's puzzles, riddles, investigation too. I don't charge money, game time is Fridays at 6pm central. I have been GMing weekly since 1997 or so, cut my gaming teeth on AD&D first ed. I go above and beyond for my players! This campaign is Discord video chat, but we could change time/day if the other players are willing and able. Don't worry about the mechanics, they are a lot easier than most believe, I am a good teacher (or so I have been told repeatedly over decades). I do not use a VTT. Tried. So I draw it out on a wet erase board, and if there's only one or two enemies, I don't bother and keep it in my head (I have the IQ to be able to do so, and then some). NO FURRIES! If you go into this expecting to create your character without regard to the setting or the group composition, you can kiss your entitled butt goodbye. Even if I did nothing different as GM, the group would suffer and your PC might not make it. I do get your back when I get the chance if you are willing to try a class you don't normally. Lots of stupid puns and jokes. My campaigns tend to be accidentally lethal, and my NPC's react within the bounds of their Intelligence scores. I poke players into beefing up their defenses in the low levels (in between game sessions), I value intelligence and wisdom in a player. I have no problem with potent PC's, so long as they play well with others and make sense. I tend to be very helpful in between game sessions, giving as much relevant info as possible without spoiling the plot, with less info for veteran players. Quite military friendly, as my NPCs tend to react realistically and tactically. I am extremely good at teaching, not just game mechanics but also tactics, even interaction with fellow players. During game sessions, I play all my NPC's to the hilt, so if they are actively trying to kill your PC, that's how it is. I rarely fudge dice results, when I do it's for drama's sake, trying to make the game exciting and interesting. With Iron Gods you gotta make the characters WITH MY DIRECT ASSISTANCE as I make sure they fit with the group and campaigns, plus I give out extra benefits (like gear). We currently have a female aasimar Cleric, a female unchained sylph Rogue, and a male oni Tiefling melee Fighter. They are now 2nd level, and we could use a Gunslinger (probably Techslinger archetype is best given the campaign), and a Wizard magic and tech item crafter/Technomancer (who gets assistance from the Cleric). Yes, someone to help the Wizard make magic items would be useful too, since handling both tech and magic item creation is intensive on feats! Iron Gods is all about alien technology meets medieval types, sorta might and magic vs science fiction tech, with some usage of tech, people say it has a lot of Conan the Cimmerian vibe to it. The campaign seems to have robots, undead, aberrations running around, so having alternatives to mind affecting stuff is a good idea. That isn't to say you can't, it just means have more than one way to mess with the tactics of the enemy. I have a giant list of races available, some of which are androgynous, others exclusively male, others exclusively female, all of which are official save for 2 (Sylvan elves, basically archer and Ranger types, and Trollans). I instituted sexual dimorphism attribute modifiers to get players running more female characters, right now for example in Iron Gods we will have 3 female characters and one male (but played by a woman and 3 men but not the classes you'd think). Subtract 5 points from Strength for female characters, and add 2 points of Constitution, 2 points of Charisma, and 1 point of Wisdom. Please note that Elves,Sylvan elves, Drow, Trollans (based on Orko from masters of the universe cartoon from the 80s), Gathlain, Ghoran, and Wyrwood are not subject to this ruling, so there is no difference mechanically between male or female characters for them. Interestingly, female characters are mathematically better for Oracles, Clerics (so long as you stay away from melee combat), Sorcerers, Psychics, Mesmerists, Mediums, basically anyone that doesn’t need a high Strength score, and could use the increased Constitution, Charisma, and a little bit of Wisdom. Yes, there are cheap ways to dramatically increase your carrying limits, I can show you. Skill based classes like the Unchained Rogue and Bard tend to be a mixed result since a low Strength impacts carrying limits, Climb, Swim, and sometimes Intimidate. Male characters make better warrior types, so Fighters (melee and bows but not crossbows), Paladins, Samurai, Unchained Barbarians, Unchained Monks, Cavaliers, Inquisitors, Rangers tend to be male. Basically it pokes men into running characters that think in a more indirect, feminine way, and women into thinking in a more masculine, direct way by poking them into classes that have the right mindset/tactics. I really enjoy variety, and so even my campaigns tend to have a lot of different activities, not just "dungeon crawls". Banned Classes/Races Summoner (and Unchained version), Arcanist, Bloodrager, Brawler, Hunter, Investigator, Shaman, Skald, Slayer, Swashbuckler, Warpriest (this is all of the Advanced Class Guide), Vigilante, Shifter, all mythic paths are banned permanently (broken ruleset). Half-elves, Half-orcs are banned permanently; they are too mechanically similar to humans and don’t make sense genetically. Note that I never allow 3rd party (non Paizo) material (unless I honestly think they are balanced and appropriate but you gotta ask first), and I do not allow material that I don’t have access to personally. I am willing to get new material, however. I am the same way about the Gunslinger (need advanced tech available), Ninja (very culture centric), Samurai (very culture centric), Antipaladin (evil aligned only), Assassin (evil aligned only) classes. For example, we are playing Iron Gods, and you get access to alien guns so the Gunslinger is welcome. I won't run Rise of the Runelords, Carrion Crown, Giantslayer since I already did them.  These are the Pathfinder campaigns I have: Rise of the Runelords, Jade Regent, Shattered Star, Return of the Runelords, Reign of Winter, Mummy's Mask, Iron Gods, Curse of the Crimson Throne, Skull & Shackles, Hell's Rebels, Ruins of Azlant, Carrion Crown, Tyrant's Grasp, Strange Aeons. The difficult campaigns I have access to are Council of Thieves (3.5 have to adjust it), Giantslayer (kinda boring starting book 4 for the GM), Goblin adventure series (very short), Hell's Vengeance (evil aligned PCs), Kingmaker (3.5 have to adjust it), Second Darkness (3.5 have to adjust it). Only a few APs exist that I won't run period.  That’s not even counting the dungeon crawl classics adventure modules. Reign of Winter will let you see 18th level since I tacked on a module at the end, Carrion Crown only 15th, all other PF campaigns 17th. No gestalt classes, nothing outside the list below. Each new campaign, take a different class and role.  These are the Pathfinder classes I use: Warriors: Unchained Barbarian, Unchained Monk (very SE Asian culture centric), Paladin, Fighter, Ranger (and possibly Gunslinger if I run Iron Gods or Reign of Winter, Samurai if running Jade Regent), Cavalier Skill Monkeys: Bard, Ranger, Unchained Rogue, possibly Ninja if running Jade Regent Divine casters: Druid, Cleric, Oracle, Inquisitor Arcane casters: Sorcerer, Wizard, Witch, Alchemist, Magus Psychics: Kineticist, Medium, Mesmerist, Occultist, Psychic, Spiritualist No politics of any kind: right, left, sexuality, real world religions, excessive feminism/whatever etc not allowed, if you have a need to make a fuss about that, you will be kicked out (all sorts tend to be in my groups). It's perfectly fine to have those views, but don't bring them to the game (this is meant to be fun, social, intellectually challenging). If you have major psych problems that get in the way of simple social interaction (explosive outbursts etc) don't contact me. I eventually ask for telephone number just in case of you not showing up to game and you didn't tell me otherwise. It's for emergency stuff, like if someone gets sick or something and I gotta cancel the game. I do care about my players! And yes, I am meticulous about not calling for funsies.  Listen, I have some rules for players. 1 Give me warning 24 hours before the game if you are gonna cancel. I need the time to tell the others and cancel the game if I don't have enough people to play. This is non negotiable! 2 Play well with others. If you are too disruptive, I will boot you after several private warnings. 3 Take a different role each new campaign. Try new things! 4 You have to show up to play 75% of the time. If you cancel too many times, there's no point to having you in the group. 5 Sometimes you will be required to take a role you don't really want because the rest of the group made their picks already. If this happens, the next campaign I will make sure you get first pick as to your role/class. 6 If you have to make sacrifices for the group, like blowing feats on item crafting etc, I will try to send good things your way. Teamwork is important.

If this happens, the next campaign I will make sure you get first pick as to your role/class. 6 If you have to make sacrifices for the group, like blowing feats on item crafting etc, I will try to send good things your way. Teamwork is important. I have been GMing since 1997 or so, cut my gaming teeth on AD&D first ed. I go above and beyond for my players. I am very adept at teaching, btw. This campaign is on Mondays at 6pm Central time Discord video chat, but we could change time/day if the other players are willing and able. Set in Chicago, I've added abilities to the NPCs to support their discipline powers, and set the whole timeline from Chicago 1 to 2 and beyond more gradually, changed who lives. Note that I have changed some of the clans a bit, like switched Gangrel(Sabbat) and City Gangrel (Camarilla), turned certain Brujah into True Brujah, a Ventrue into a Nosferatu, that sort of thing. Vampire has characters that are difficult to create without my assistance if you don't know how the numbers and discipline powers work (you distribute dots, there are no classes). However the game play dice mechanics/rules are easy as heck. The hard part is that it demands more forethought to play, because there's a lot of deceptive NPCs, including your own. It is oddly more ethical/moral than medieval fantasy games by far, even though you don't play a hero normally, and even though you're a vampire feeding on humans and aren't human yourself. It's darker I suppose, lots of intrigue and figuring out what is really going on. Kinda like watching Babylon 5 or Dune, you have to take notes to recall everything that could be vital later. A LOT less combat than medieval fantasy games! It's rare, but nasty when it does occur. Maturity is advised. Note that I broke my campaign down in a timeline, it can be altered by PC actions, even down to the year and month.  VERY DETAILED homebrew campaign that can be changed given PC choices. RIght now they are in late 1990 somewhere between Oct and December, you will get the PC's average xp to start with, along with a host of extra little benefits outside what the creation rules normally grant. You dictate the parameters, I figure out how to make the mechanics do what you want and tell you about potential problems, and I pick out flaws so as to give you your own story arc. Its also a great way to get rid of problem NPCs. The Dark Fate flaw is reserved for anyone meeting their end during Gehenna, the end of the world. See, the Antediluvians rise, and they are hungry for their clan members.... That doesn't mean you can't play, you can still run other characters even after your main one croaks. Official list of clans/bloodlines you can take in Chicago compatible with the group as it is: Nosferatu (must take Dark Fate flaw), Toreador, Ventrue, Brujah, Gangrel (Sabbat), Malkavian, City Gangrel (Camarilla), Tzimisce (must take the Dark Fate flaw), Gargoyle, Caitiff (Anarch typically), Assamite (Milwaukee Sabbat), True Brujah. Obscure list (you can take them if you want, but you won't have support from fellow clan members in Chicago): Daughter of Cacophony, Nagarajah, Salubri (Warrior and very Camarilla), Lamia.  Got a Cappadocian (a hospital morgue doctor and a necromancer), Salubri (one Healer(an FBI agent), one Watcher (a homicide Chicago police detective), and Lasombra (an amateur boxer and criminal lawyer, he wants to go Camarilla). I have set up each pc to have fast growth, to have really good rolls for their disciplines right away. The party could use a member that has Vicissitude, Animalism, Celerity (this requires high Wits) as clan, or possibly Temporis, Thaumaturgy. Luckily there's a 5 point merit that allows anyone to buy clan xp rates, hint hint. You gotta also pay for mentor ratings since you need a teacher to increase your disciplines outside of Celerity, Fortitude, Potence. BTW, I made these 3 powers much easier to use, and less vitae expensive. If you pick from the obscure list, you can BUY up to 7th generation, but you blow 6 background dots to pull it off.  Caitiff are interesting, I made them able to teach ANY discipline they learn; normally the 13 clans can only teach their clan disciplines. A Tremere is possible, but you'd need to be a diehard Anarch (meaning the local Tremere want your keister dead, although good news for you that the Chicago ones are less than competent). If you don't know the clans, I can give you information but you will need the V20 core rulebook (learning the setting and abilities but not the disciplines), the dark ages core rulebook (mostly just for the super powers/disciplines), tome of secrets (all forms of vampire magic, even Obtenebration), and Erciyes Fragments (this will feature heavily in the campaign, its the Vampire bible of sorts including prophecies) books. Also a total of 20 d10's, basically two matched sets of 10 d10's, but the 2 sets cannot match each other. Preferably translucent dice, not solid. Chuck out any that have bubbles inside. Game always starts at 6pm central Mondays. The Guide to the Camarilla from the Revised edition might be handy, but not strictly necessary. Prince's Primer is nice for understanding elder vampires' mindset. They are very manipulative, and deceptive. This is a copy of an update I gave to a player that missed a session: Both Michael Payne Toreador and Son of the Malkavians are dead, and Jay found another body in the basement, this time of a dead boy, a formerly months old vampire Caitiff. His name was Neon, and Damien of the Brujah (one of 2 anarch leaders was caring/teaching for Neon) Damien will have to be told. Neon was chained via manacles to the basement floor in Son's Skokie residence, his throat ripped out and his face gnawed upon. Evidence was found that Son was blackmailing Horatio Ballard into insane and demeaning acts. You could get a major boon from Ballard using this, or use it against him in other ways. (the players gave this information to the Nosferatu, who now owe them big time)  Ballard apparently has been naughty. Michael accidentally killed Son, and Michael is dead thanks to the party knocking him into torpor, and the elders ending him. recall, Michael was suicidal, and homicidal after the party ended his ex wife. plus had a rep for being a thug who used to cause chaos your character Salubri Healer just rescued the young couple that Son was psychologically torturing, and you shot Michael (bashing damage, just reduced him to torpor) as he tried to use Ben the Cappadocian as a shield

**House Rhyle has vanished into the great dark.** Now the Emperor of the Known Universe has called upon your once Minor House, newly raised to Major House status, to take up their abandoned fief. You have enemies. You’ll soon have more. Raise your banner. Draw your sword. Muster every weapon of statecraft at your command and turn a hostile world into your own. But the seat of House Rhyle holds mysteries. Why did they leave? Where did they go? The Imperium claims they fled to Tupile, but is that the truth? And then there is the Scar: an astronomical anomaly that hangs in the dark of the system, a perfect circle of nothingness where something should be. What is it? How did it come to exist? Most importantly: is it a threat? Your House is new. Its future, and perhaps the future of the Imperium, is yours to shape.

I'm looking for a DM who takes requests or is looking to learn by using an existing homebrew world for a group with six players. I have a game world already mostly put together that I used as a DM but would like to take from the player's side in this instance, the game is an amalgam of various existing nerd culture franchises such as Star Wars, Marvel, DC and anime where the characters and lore exist simultaneously and always have which create a unique setting rich with possibilities for the players to adventure and explore. We live in the Pacific Northwest but having an online DM who lives elsewhere but connects online is totally welcome, looking forward to hearing from you and having fun with you soon! Please DM me if you want more details.

We are currently looking for: 1 player for online sessions, and many more for Play by Post! 🩸Brussels is the capital of Europe. To the mortals, it’s a surreal maze. To the Camarilla, it’s a gilded cage. The year is 2016. Prince Vermeulen has wiped the court floor clean to make room for a fresh generation of neonates. You arrive in the City with a target on your back, drafted into a game you don’t yet understand. Here, your word carries weight, and your loyalty to the Camarilla is your only shield — for now. Beyond the polished marble of Elysium, older factions and darker mysteries are waiting. Every alliance has a price. Every secret is a weapon. Your actions will test your Humanity and shape the City. Your failures will shape your execution. How long will you navigate the corridors of power? Will you rise in the City of Wastrels or vanish from records and memories? Campaigned aimed at mature Players, but opened to all experience levels. Session Time: 8PM EDT/EST Monday System: Savage Worlds Adventure Platforms Used: Discord, Roll20 Price: $19 per session Travel the Continent ravaged by war and another conjunction of spheres. World needs heroes like never before, but really best it can hope for, are people trying their best in a shitty situation. If someone enjoys the Witcher games, books and probably not as much with the Netflix series that's the right address. I want to capture more role play heavy, character oriented style of this world. New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Session time: 6 pm EST on Thursdays Join the fight for freedom against Chelaxian oppression! Fight Devils and Hellknights to free Isger from the forces of Hell! Players will join the Hellbreakers League, taking part in operations to drive the Hell-aligned forces out of Cheliax and end their occupation of the country. You will take on Cheliaxian strongholds, fight Hellknights and devils, and work to stoke the fires of revolution throughout Isger. You will be sent on missions behind enemy lines, striking at important targets, disrupting supply lines, rescuing prisoners, and helping local communities resist the forces of Hell. Every victory, no matter how small, will help weaken the occupation and inspire others to join the rebellion. This campaign will run from levels 1 to 10, with players starting out as new revolutionaries within the Hellbreakers League and rising through the ranks as they take the fight directly to the forces of Hell. As your reputation grows, so too will the importance of your missions, eventually placing the fate of the rebellion in your hands. Variant Rules used: Ancestral paragon Gradual ability boost Free archetype Characters will start with 3 hero points at start of each session Our DM uses StartPlaying, for those interested feel free to reach out and I can provide a link to the page. Myself and the other three players get along pretty well despite not having met before this. We're open to continuing this adventure into another AP like Hell's Destiny which runs from 10-20 for anyone looking for a more long-term campaign. We prefer consistent people, though we understand life can make that a bit of a struggle at times. Current party comp includes a Kineticist, Monk, Commander, and possibly Rogue (last person undecided). Now that we have four players, the campaign should begin, though more players are still welcome

Specimen Unknown

Eli Boone grew up in a small agricultural town in Ohio. He's a friendly, loyal, hardworking guy with strong small-town values. He believes in helping people, keeping his word, and doing what's right. He wasn't always a believer in the supernatural. That changed during a family trip to Wisconsin. While visiting his uncle, Eli experienced what appeared to be a genuine haunting: cold spots, voices, the sensation of being watched, and other unexplained events. During the same trip, his family's car was chased by what Eli believes was the Beast of Bray Road. On the drive home, the family witnessed two unidentified objects in the sky. Three completely different paranormal experiences in the span of one trip convinced Eli that the world was considerably stranger than he had thought. He posted about the experiences online, expecting people to think he was crazy. Most did. But one organization took his story very seriously. The Aegis Foundation The Aegis Foundation is a recently established international organization that publicly presents itself as a humanitarian and charitable organization dedicated to protecting people and improving lives. Behind the scenes, however, Aegis knows that monsters and other supernatural phenomena exist. The organization has wealthy international benefactors, extensive resources, official connections, rigorous training programs, and a growing network of facilities. It is also extremely bureaucratic and secretive. Aegis wants monster specimens—dead or alive—for reasons that aren't entirely clear. Eli was recruited immediately after high school and became the first paid field Hunter employed by Aegis. He's been extensively trained and equipped, and he's genuinely proud to work for them. Aegis gave him a purpose and took him seriously when everyone else thought he was crazy. The catch? Eli doesn't actually know what Aegis ultimately wants. And neither do I. I'd love to explore that mystery during the campaign. What I'm Looking For I'm hoping to find a Keeper who is interested in taking this premise and running with it. I'm particularly interested in: Monster-hunting and investigation Character-driven stories A little mystery surrounding Aegis The occasional horror, but not necessarily nonstop grimdark Humor and fun between the scary stuff Characters who have reasons to care about each other Collaborative worldbuilding The possibility of the characters gradually discovering what Aegis is really doing I'm new to Monster of the Week, so I'm looking for a group that's welcoming to someone learning the system. I'm not expecting the campaign to revolve around Eli or Aegis—I'd like the other players' characters and stories to be just as important. If you're a Keeper looking for a campaign idea, or a player interested in joining something like this, I'd love to hear from you.

New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
The galaxy is changing… and not for the better. The Yuuzhan Vong have arrived from beyond the known galaxy, bringing living ships, terrifying biotechnology, and a hatred of machines that has already left entire worlds in ruin. The New Republic is struggling to respond, the Jedi are stretched thin, and the hyperspace lanes are filled with refugees, rumors, and fear. In the middle of this chaos, you are part of a small crew trying to survive and make a difference. Maybe you’re Jedi trying to understand this strange new enemy. Maybe you’re soldiers fighting a desperate delaying action. Smugglers, scouts, diplomats, and survivors all have a place in a galaxy where the rules of war are rapidly changing. This campaign will focus heavily on roleplay, character choices, and the personal stories that unfold during a massive galactic war. Expect tense negotiations, dangerous missions behind enemy lines, moral dilemmas, and moments where your characters must decide what they’re willing to sacrifice to protect the galaxy. The Yuuzhan Vong are coming. Who will your character be when the galaxy needs heroes… or survivors? Looking for GM and Players.  Saturdays 10:00 AM GMT Does this day and time work for you, and can you reliably make the sessions? How old are you and how much RPG experience do you have? Do both you and your character work well in a team? Are you familiar with Saga Edition and do you have a copy of it? What is your character concept? Please answer all the questions to be considered.

[DnD 5e][Denton, TX] - DM looking for players for a Homebrew 5e campaign Hey there! I moved to Denton a couple months ago and I'm looking to get a small group together to hang out weekly, play D&D, grab drinks, or play boardgames together. Here's the plan: * **System:** D&D 5e * **Format:** We'll kick off with a short one-shot to get a feel for the group, then move into an ongoing homebrew campaign * **Schedule:** Fridays (starting this week) @ 6pm, Denton, TX biweekly campaign sessions, alternating with biweekly hangout nights (board games, drinks, whatever) so Fridays stay a standing thing either way * **Who:** Guys & gals welcome, never played before? Even better. I'm a newer DM myself, so no pressure to know the rules going in. Just looking to find some post-grad peeps who can commit to a weekly hangout. If that sounds like your kind of Friday, hit me up on here and/or Discord: Chashu293

"Year 0" Prequel One-Shots

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Hello hello! I am Matthew. I am a new DM building a homebrew world, and I want your help filling in its history. Before my main campaign begins, I am running a series of one-shots set in "Year 0". This is when an apocalyptic cataclysm nearly ends the world. The future campaign will be set centuries afterward. When? I run my business from home and have a family, so M-F during the day works best. These one-shots will take place Tuesday through Thursday, between 9:00am and 2:00pm Central time (chicago area). If you work from home, work nights, or live in a time zone where this is your evening, this table is for you! What is it? You will play low- to mid-level heroes surviving the chaos of a larger conflict. You might be pulling off a desperate heist for a magical artifact, escorting refugees to safety, or holding the line against impossible odds. All of this happens under the shadow of the First King, whose mysterious sacrifice during this era saved the realm but cursed his bloodline forever. Legacy? Yup If you survive, I have a "Fortune & Fate" roll planned to help determine your character's epilogue. Though you will have plenty of creative control over their outcomes. Survive or not - your characters will become the myths, ancestors, and founders in the larger campaign!

The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
For some reason or another, you have been pulled into the mists. You arrive in a grey, monochrome detective agency. Everything is devoid of colour, including yourself. A woman sits behind the desk and lifts her head from the stack of papers in front of her. "You must be the new recruits I've been waiting for." You look around the room, and several other doors appear and open, with people who have faces as equally confused as yours entering. "There is a lot of work to do," she says as she gestures to the chairs in front of her desk. "But first, introductions. My name is Flimira Vhage. And you are?" Hop through the Domains of Dread in this sandbox campaign as you work together with others to complete your personal goals and explore the Domains you find interesting. AVATAR: THE SEVERED AGE "They told us the elements were sacred. Then they put a price on them, a chip in your skull, and a payment plan on your soul." The Premise Korra has been dead for three years. In the decades before her death, the Spirit Portal in Republic City stopped being a miracle and became an energy source. Spirit vines spread through the city's foundations, rail lines, power grid... and eventually into people. Engineers learned to route chi through circuitry. Ripperdocs learned to graft it into flesh. What should have taken a century took thirty years. The world woke up neon. Today, anyone with enough money or enough debt can buy bending. A non-bender walks into a corporate storefront, signs a financing contract for a Chi Emulator, and walks out throwing fire like a Fire Nation soldier. The Equalist dream came true. Not through revolution. Through retail. Every implant comes with a hidden cost. The more chrome you install, the quieter your own chi becomes. Benders slowly lose their connection to the elements until, eventually, they become Severed. No spirits. No bending. No way back... at least, that's what everyone believes. Meanwhile, somewhere in the world is an Earth Kingdom child who should have become the next Avatar. They are three years old. No one has found them. The White Lotus has searched for years without success. Some believe the child was born spirit-deaf. Others whisper a corporation found them first and is quietly discovering what an Avatar's soul is worth. Some fear the Avatar Cycle itself is breaking. Everyone is searching for the same missing child. You'll either find them first... ...or discover why no one else ever could. What You Can Play: A traditional bender trying to preserve a dying art. A Severed ex-bender willing to burn the world to reclaim their element. A Ghost, projecting their spirit into the digital Weave where something ancient may already be waiting. A ripperdoc, fixer, mercenary, or corporate Emulator runner drowning in debt. An Air Nomad who has rejected cybernetics entirely, remaining one of the few souls still fully connected to the spirits and uniquely capable of healing what technology has stolen. Themes: Cyberpunk noir Corporate corruption Spiritual horror Identity and humanity The price of progress Hope in a broken world This is a campaign about difficult choices with permanent consequences. Expect street-level jobs, corporate conspiracies, spirits hiding in fiber-optic cables, desperate people trying to reclaim what they've lost, and quiet moments between the action that remind everyone what's worth fighting for. The central question is simple: What are you willing to trade away... and can you ever get it back? System: Savage Worlds Adventure Edition (custom Avatar conversion) No prior Savage Worlds experience required. No Avatar knowledge required. All rules and setting information will be provided. The game is fast, cinematic, beginner-friendly, and focused on character-driven storytelling. "Chrome is easy to buy. Getting your soul back takes a lot longer." This game costs $20 per session

Dungeons in the Mist

Looking to start up a "monthly" game of D&D 5e 2014, Legend in the Mist, City of Mist, Savage Worlds, Genesys, or another system in some genre we agree on or any other system that might be fun to try. Getting my current group is like herding cats so I play far too infrequently so I'd like a bit more consistency. I'm interested in running a Call of Cthulhu style game using the City of Mist rulebook. I want a relaxed beer and pretzels game primarily centered around narrative game play peppered with cinematic action. Preferable game times are Saturdays from noon until quitting time, or Sunday noon until 6ish. Location might by in a garage, or a local game store that's open until 10pm.

Greek-myth campaign for Daggerheart

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
"Five years ago, a thousand ships answered Agamemnon's call and departed Greece to bring about Ilium's ruin. The greatest heroes, the mightiest weapons, and the most mythical stories are somewhere else.  You are among who remains.  I am Homer, and I will sing of you, amongst Other Names." Set in a fabled Age of Rhapsody — paying homage to the Bronze Age, Greek tragedy and comedy, and classical myth — Echoes of Fate is a homebrew Campaign Frame for Daggerheart exploring lies and prophecies, the making of myths, and what it costs to break destiny. You are not the hero the epic was written for. No prophecy names you. No Muse has claimed your story...yet. So what do you make of a life the songs haven't told yet? If you are a fan of myth retellings such as EPIC: the Musical, A Thousand Ships, The Song of Achilles, come sit by the fire. Some notes on the setting: •  The gods are present but distracted — drawing their eye may bring you greatness, or ruin. Or maybe you'll be drawn to the Mysteries instead? •  No prophecy protects you: your choices ripple outward, and could alter canon myths and even the course of the war itself. •  All stories are welcome, this table is LGBTQ+ friendly. •  New to tabletop, Daggerheart, or Greek myth? This table is beginner-friendly. And no Classics degree required, just curiosity. EU-friendly hours (evenings except weekends where I can do mornings or early afternoons) or US- friendly (late afternoons/early evening). Sessions can be weekly or bi-weekly through StartPlaying.com, at 20$ per session. About me: - I've been a Dungeon Master for almost 8 years and I have plenty of experience in guiding new players. I prefer Theater of the Mind with minimal VTT support. - Your story will matter and I love a long, narrative background I can weave into the main story. - I do character voices!  - I also do character artworks :D Safety tools: Session 0, Lines and Veils, Consent checklist and X cards. I prefer to be honest in advance: Echoes of Fate draws from real life in addition to myth. Slavery was present in Ancient Greece, as was mysogyny, war and violence. You will be able to challenge these in-game through your character, or ask me to avoid mentioning them and I will do my best to do so.

Grasianil Chronicles[Custom D6 System][Maptool]

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Looking for player interested in testing custom game system via narrative roleplay and learning the system itself. Grasianil: Custom D6-based system utilizing Maptool primarily, heavily stream-lined to support large, quick battles. Versatility allows vehicles, mechs, and spaceships, utilizing unique mechanics, in-addition to single players. Minimal delays owing to macros within Maptool, utilizing pop-up menus, automatic calculation of damage, debuffs, armor, etc. Highly adaptable, with streamlined rules offering as much complexity as is desired, and based on the setting. Developed by myself and my partner who passed away earlier this year. Supports several original fantasy and sci fi worlds of varying types, from traditional western high fantasy, to detailed low fantasy, from space opera-style sci fi, to more realistic settings. In-addition to original settings not listed here, it has been adapted to: Legend of Zelda Battletech Middle Earth Forgotten Realms Mystara Shadowrun and Cyberpunk Pre-existing settings are not played strictly-canon, but consistency is stressed. Medium amount of experience in RPing requested, as well as an open mind to learn a new system. Maptool 1.11.5 needed, Discord used primarily for all text but other programs are an option, Google sheets used for some settings. Time-zone of GM is US Central. RPing otherwise done via text on Discord, but other options open to discussion. Session date and time variable, any listed setting available, suggestions welcome, inquire in DMs to myself for further details. GM preference for folks interested in creating a story, rather than purely for the gaming. One-on-one only, at the moment. No cost. No absolute obligation. Reach out to natalie7995 on Discord, or via message/email for more information. When reaching out, please send a message via Groupfinder or over Discord.

The Star Hoarder's Cache

Hey everyone! I’m Alan, and I GM for a group of lovable misfits online. We've been together around 3 years now, and are getting ready to launch our next grand sci-fi campaign: The Star Hoarder's Cache! If you love deep character development, witty table banter, and adventures where your choices genuinely shape the story, we’d love to meet you! We’re currently looking for 1–2 dedicated roleplayers to round out our crew. The Campaign Hook: Think Guardians of the Galaxy meets Firefly, Mass Effect, and Treasure Island. Expect a scrappy, found-family crew chasing legendary fortunes across uncharted frontiers. The tone balances high-stakes galactic intrigue, sharp comedic banter, and meaningful character arcs. Your past catches up with you, the galaxy reacts dynamically to your decisions, and every crew member has a vital voice in where your ship flies next. We used the Adventure Path 'Murder in Metal City' to onboard us into SF2e, and are ready to tackle a homebrew campaign. About the GM & Table Style The Style: I bring 3 years of GMing experience backed by a long history studying improv at Second City. That means dynamic scenes, distinct NPC personalities, and an adaptive GM approach where player creativity, humor, and bold ideas are rewarded. The Current Crew: Our table consists of two women, and three men. (Including me, the GM) We're looking for another 1-2 players to round out the table. Immersion & Focus: To maintain high energy and uninterrupted roleplay during game night, our sessions are recorded and privately uploaded so that only table members have access. This allows me to stay 100% present in the moment while ensuring every player decision, inside joke, and plot thread is captured accurately between sessions without breaking the flow for note-taking. The Atmosphere: We are an inclusive, collaborative, and communicative group. We share the spotlight, support each other's character arcs, and prioritize fun, respectful storytelling above all else. We utilize safety tools like X-Cards and establish clear boundaries/lines & veils ahead of time. If a session is likely to involve heavier depictions of potentially difficult topics, I make a point to remind everyone of the X-Card options and check in with players ahead of time. Campaign Length: Our table enjoys campaigns around 12 sessions long. We've run four of them so far using PF2e. I try to focus on an overarching narrative while weaving in the backstories and goals of the party members. Some backstory plots get resolved along with the main campaign; while others are given clues and breadcrumbs into our next campaign. Logistics & Requirements System: Starfinder 2e / Pathfinder 2e We started as a PF2e group, and after 3 years; are trying out SF2e. The two systems are practically the same, except for minor tweaks Platform: Foundry VTT for gameplay, Discord for out-of-character crew banter. Schedule: Twice per month, running on a weekday evening (Mon, Tue, Wed, or Thu based on group consensus), 6:30 PM – ~11:00 PM CST. Tech: Clear working microphone, reliable internet, and a PC/browser capable of running Foundry VTT smoothly. Webcam use is encouraged, but optional. Age: 21+ I aim to run a PG-13/Sometimes 'R' rated table. We focus on keeping things friendly, with strictly zero-tolerance for bigotry or toxic behavior. How to Apply If you want to join our crew, send me a direct message with brief answers to the following: Experience: What is your background with Pathfinder 2e, Starfinder 2e or tabletop RPGs? (Beginners to the system are welcome!) Playstyle: What draws you to TTRPG's; Combat/Strategy, Improv/Character development or creating a Shared-Storyline? Crew Pitch: Give a 2–3 sentence concept of a character you’d be excited to play. What motivates them? Table Dynamic: What energy do you hope to bring to the table in our story-driven campaign? Applications will remain open until we find the right fit, followed by a brief, casual chat on Discord to make sure we're all on the same page before jumping in with Session 1. (We'll go over table expectations, a short tutorial for using FoundryVTT, any Off-Limit topics, etc.) Looking forward to welcoming you to our table!

You can expect to die. But hilariously.

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
A D&D 5e One-Shot About Making Bad Decisions in the Face of Certain Death The premise is simple: You are going to face something you cannot defeat. Not probably can’t defeat. Not might be able to defeat. You are completely and spectacularly outmatched. This one-shot is inspired by Faster, Purple Worm! Kill! Kill! and is designed around the idea of throwing the party into an absolutely hopeless situation and seeing what happens. ⚔️ This is NOT a traditional heroic adventure. There is no expectation that the party will defeat the final threat. There may not even be a realistic way to survive. Instead, the goal is to create a fun, memorable, ridiculous, and occasionally heroic last stand where your decisions determine how your character faces the inevitable. Maybe you run. Maybe you fight. Maybe you come up with an absolutely insane plan. Maybe you spend your final moments arguing with the rest of the party about whose fault this was. Whatever happens, the goal is to have a great time. 🎲 About the DM I’ve been DMing for 2+ years and have experience running games through Discord and Owlbear. I’m also new-player friendly. You don’t need years of D&D experience to join. I’ll help explain rules and get you comfortable with the game as we go. 🏳️‍🌈 LGBTQ+ friendly The table is intended to be welcoming and respectful to everyone. Come ready to have fun, make questionable decisions, and embrace the chaos. ⚠️ Important Player Expectation Character death is not only possible, it is expected. This adventure is specifically built around an overwhelming threat and the possibility of certain death. Please don’t bring a character you’ve spent months developing if permanent character death would ruin the experience for you. Bring a character you’re excited to play, roll some dice, make some memories, and see how long you can keep the inevitable at bay.

Dragonbane beginner One-Shot

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Hello, I want to start GMing Dragonbane, this will be the first time I GM this system so beginners are welcome, we will learn as we go. I will provide all the rules and any necessary books. All i ask is that you want to play this system and is willing to learn. I'm planning on running a one-shot to begin with, and if everyone wants to continue we'll play through 11 beginner adventures that all connect into a bigger story. If everything goes well my plan is to then move on to either another premade adventure or my homebrew world. My goal is to find 4-5 players and the start date will be chosen once we have our group. I'll be using FoundryVTT and discord to play. "Dragonbane is a classic fantasy tabletop roleplaying game full of magic, mystery, and adventure. It is designed from the ground up to facilitate fast and furious play, with very little prep time and adventures that are a breeze to run. This is a game with room for laughs at the table, while still offering brutal challenges for the adventurers. We call this playstyle “mirth and mayhem roleplaying” Send me a dm if you are interested.

Baldur’s Gate: Descent Into Avernus

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Baldur’s Gate teeters on the edge — between triumph and corruption, salvation and damnation. Cultists roam the alleys promising power, nobles sell their souls for influence, and justice has become a commodity few can afford. When a neighboring city falls into Hell itself, Baldur’s Gate may be next. The question is no longer whether devils walk among us… but how many are already in charge. To save the city, you may have to lead the charge into Avernus, the first layer of the Nine Hells, where war machines roar and archdevils decide the fate of millions. ¿Are you willing to damn yourselves so others can be free? I'm going to run two sessions for this game Monday 10am CST | Beginner's Friendly [0/6] | $18 USD Monday 7pm CST | Beginner's Friendly [0/6] | $18 USD

You build your character according to your fantasy, not class cages. Perks and Limitations define your build, and let you make your character the way YOU want, not the way a rulebook says you must. Every level gives you Build Points to grow your character in any direction, with no forced archetypes. Combat is dynamic, using Active Defenses, contested rolls, and armor as a damage reduction percentage. Magic is fluid, and almost any caster can heal, so nobody needs to play the healbot.  Come help my test out my system and try out something you didn't know you needed.

Because you deserve a reliable, premium D&D experience with zero scheduling drama, immersive atmospheric tools, and a GM dedicated to your fun. I am a verified Top GM running Waterdeep: Dungeon of the Mad Mage on a highly optimized, fully automated Foundry VTT server. --- 📅 The Logistics     Schedule: Saturday at 16:00 CEST( 10:00 AM EDT)     Length: 3 to 3.5 hours     System/Platform: D&D 5e (2014) on Foundry VTT + D&DBeyond + Discord for Voice     Price: $25 USD per player, per session. SESSIONS 0 AND 1 ARE COMPLETELY FREE!     Link: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmtsn6bgl00s5gy04oimb8o4r 💀 The Pitch: A Grounded, High-Stakes Megadungeon Venture beneath Waterdeep into Undermountain, a sprawling dungeon filled with deadly monsters, forgotten treasures, strange factions, and secrets buried for centuries. This is a classic dungeon crawl focused on exploration, combat, and tactical discovery. This is a challenging game with survival elements: - Gritty Realism: Resources matter, injuries can linger, and Long Rests are only possible in secure, designated safe areas. - High Stakes: All adventures come with risks. Inaction or rash decisions can lead to irreversible ramifications. - Your Insight Is Key: If you crave tension-filled exploration, perilous challenges, strategic thinking, and hard-earned victories, then Undermountain is calling out to you! Note: You don’t have to be a master of D&D! What you do need is cooperation, creativity, and being ready for the dungeon to fight back. --- 🚀 Reasons To Join With a Pro GM on Foundry! This is a colossal adventure. On the regular tabletop gaming websites, keeping track of survival details and managing the gigantic dungeon layout becomes an arduous spreadsheet exercise. Not with this table:     Advanced Foundry Automation: Dynamic lighting, spell animation, actual door manipulation, and instant combat calculations. We spend 100% of our time roleplaying and surviving and 0% calculating by hand.     Evolving Factions: This isn’t your typical slash-and-burn adventure. The dungeon of the mad mage Halaster is an ever-evolving environment. I bring it to life with individual NPC personalities and faction intrigue based on your decisions alone.     Reliable Hosting Schedule: One adventure every week, without fail. --- 📝 Give it a Shot for Free I'm sure you will enjoy all the automation, the challenge, and the table setting, so both Session 0 and Session 1 will be 100% Free. Come to create a character, try the Foundry VTT server, play your first session, and see if the table is right for you. 👉 RESERVE YOUR SPOT: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmtsn6bgl00s5gy04oimb8o4r

In the 3020s humanity feels the brewing war gathering like a laser and steel storm, aching to scourge land, air and space. From vibro-daggers in dark alleys to gyro jet carbines on jump ships, perhaps the safest place will be looking yourself in the cockpit of a battlemech to get that last PPC shot into your enemy, for outside your mech, or aerospace fighter, you can't see the true colours of intelligence operatives, rival nobles, or your family looking for your blood or services. ‎This game will be ≈ 75/25 mechwarrior roleplay/battlatech tactical combat. ‎Monday's 23:00 UTC. ‎We're looking for one more to start (ideally three more for a full party). ‎https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmt68jere00ekic044rwedel6?ref=cl4t2m6w66gz3bopkfq3c4s4j

The carnival only comes around once every eight years. It's always more than happy to let you in. Getting back out is a different kind of ticket. A whimsical, puzzle-heavy Feywild campaign where the lights are a little too colorful, the music a little too catchy, and every game booth is running a con you can't quite prove. Step past the gates and the ordinary rules stop applying: wishes are real here, and so is the price for making one. Built for roleplay-first tables: puzzles over pure combat, clever solutions over brute force, rule of cool encouraged, and a tone that swings between delightfully weird and quietly unsettling without ever losing its sense of wonder. New players welcome! Session Zero is free. 3 seats open. Full write-up: https://ash55555.github.io/blog/witchlight.html

Paid game

A hundred years ago, an empire tried to lift an entire city into the sky. It failed and the city fell, sealed underground ever since. Now the great houses, guilds, and cults down there are tearing each other apart over whatever's left of the ritual that doomed them. That's the table you'd be joining. 🗝️ 🕐 When: Wednesdays - 1:00 PM EST / 12:00 PM CST / 11:00 AM MST / 10:00 AM PST - (6:00 PM GMT+1 for my European folks 👋) 💰 Price: $10/session Session Zero is completely free 🖥️ Platform: Roll20 + Discord voice 🎭 Tone: Political intrigue, subterranean survival, layered NPCs, real consequences for your choices What to expect: - Mystery-driven roleplay where talking your way out of a fight is just as viable as fighting your way out - NPCs who lie convincingly, factions with real agendas, and a world that remembers what you do - A DM who preps every week so the story keeps moving no matter what your party decides What I bring: custom maps, ambient music/soundscapes, and official 2024 D&D content, all set up ahead of time so we spend our session actually playing, not troubleshooting. What you bring: a character concept (new to D&D? no problem, I'll help you build one), a mic, and a willingness to get your hands a little dirty in the politics of a buried city. This is a welcoming table rule of cool always wins, every character concept is respected, and there's zero pressure to "play D&D perfectly." Total beginners and veteran players are equally welcome. 🎲 📖 Full write-up: https://ash55555.github.io/blog/flying-city.html 🌐 All my campaigns + schedules: https://ash55555.github.io/ Interested? On a player profile - you are looking for free games and are not interested in paid ones.
I'm a game designer, and I'm looking for a group of great players to help me playtest the crap out of it. Anyone willing to playtest will get a free digital copy of Prosperon on the house. I was thinking of running sessions every other week on Saturdays, since I already run a podcast campaign weekly. If you're interested, sign up and let’s have a blast. To give you an idea of the gameplay style, it’s about 65% roleplay and 35% combat, though that really depends on the group’s dynamics. If you all want more combat, I can absolutely make that happen. The game is a cyberpunk/biopunk mix set in a dystopian society on a distant planet far from Earth. Humanity colonized a world called Khaelmora, later renamed Prosperon by the human settlers. If you're interested, let’s get those dice rolling and have a good time. I just wanted to add that I’m also looking to start a play‑by‑post group. I still want to run a VTT game, of course, but a play‑by‑post format could be fun too.

Welcome to Keocorra! (possible Camapign)

LGBTQ+ friendly
The table is openly welcoming to LGBTQ+ players.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Hello folks and welcome to my adventurer recruitment! Let’s begin with a quick introduction and summary of my post. You should gain a brief overview of what I’m looking for/offering from the first two sections. I am a bit of a yapper, so the overall post may get a little long, but if you are interested, please read it all. (I will be putting more information on the Discord Server I’ve made for this.) I would like to note that the server is currently at a good amount of people, however I am reopening this since I need to fill a vacancy in Group 4! Group 2 has just concluded and Group 4 will likely have their sessions at the start of October (the One Shot currently takes two sessions). Games will run on Sundays in the later afternoon based on CET time.  Me: My name is Shay (He/Her/Theirs (any pronouns)). I’m 22 years old and have always been a storyteller. That said, English is not my first language. I do my best and would say I’m fluent, though. I am queer and neurodivergent and a nerd, which is sort of obvious considering this is a ttrpg recruitment site lol. I got some DnD experience recently after years of never having the proper friend group for it. I’ve loved tabletop content for years, and now that I’ve played some, I know I love it. Although playing itself is very fun, I’ve always known the mantle of the DM calls to me. Therefore, I am now a beginner DM, currently working on my own DnD setting.  What I’m looking for: I am looking for players of any skill level that would be interested in connecting, and possibly eventually embarking on a campaign with me. I do not currently have any dming experience, which is why this recruitment is primarily for a One Shot I have written. It is fairly straight forward and should cover the various aspects of DnD (roleplaying, exploring, combat, looting etc). I want to write more One Shots, and through running them, find a group for a campaign. However, you don’t have to be interested in a campaign to play my One Shot :) Rules and Requirements: You must be 18+ to join. You must have a decent microphone and stable Internet. You do not need any prior DnD experiences. Joining the One Shot is not a guarantee of getting into the Campaign: The Campaign will have four players just like each group of the One Shot will. I'm hoping to run the One Shot three times. One Campaign Slot is already filled.  You may make your character sheet on sites such as DnDBeyond or Dicecloud, but you may also make one on paper. Just be sure to send it to me if it’s not through my Campaign link in DnDBeyond. You may roll in any form you want, even with real dice. I will work under the assumptions that you do not alter the results of any rolls I cannot immediately see. You must not use any AI to generate writing or characters. Ideally, you should not use it at all (ever). You may not use preexisting AI art for your character art. I urge you to critically assess any piece of art you use for your characters. (I will provide resources to find non-AI character art). If you use someone else’s art for your character, you must provide credits. Do not be bigoted, hateful or discriminatory in any way. Racism, Ableism, Misogyny, Queerphobia and bullying will not be tolerated. This may sound a little odd, but you must be willing to use non-conventional and/or shifting pronouns. You don’t need to be perfect, but be respectful and willing to learn. (This is also fairly important in game, since I will include genderqueer or genderneutral characters/npcs.) ERP is not allowed in the One Shots and likely won’t be allowed in the Campaign (depends largely on players). While playing, please pay attention, even if it isn’t your turn. More Info on the One Shot: The One Shot has a fairly clear storyline and isn’t set up to have too much room for improvisation as for it’s plot points. Improvisation is an aspect I want to also eventually explore, but for now this is more of a “tutorial” type experience. The various paths and options are prewritten and have a clear line of progression, although what exactly happens and what you chose to do is open! Unfortunately, I can’t let you not accept the quest I have prepared and go explore somewhere else, sorry ^^ Depending on interest, I will probably run the One Shot multiple times, and/or offer up another one if there are people that are interested in being part of a DnD group longterm. This lore of my world isn’t relevant to the One Shot, which does take place in the same world, but approximately 1600 years in the past. This is so the One Shot can already happen while I’m still putting the lore and everything else to paper! All you need to know is in the pitch; although it basically summarizes to “Every kingdom is at war, but that’s not really your problem. You just need to get by.” There is also some information about geography and the overall world on my Server. More Info on a possible Campaign: I will eventually put out some lore of my world on the Discord Server. It will include informations about pretty much everything you need to know: gods, territories, people and everything else I cook up ^^’ As I mentioned before, none of the Campaign lore/information is relevant to the One Shot(s). When it comes to the eventual Campaign, I have a few reference points and ideas what an overarching story could be, but I do also want to have a big focus on the characters in the adventuring party. So what the actual plot of the campaign will be also depends heavily on the groups wants. I am looking to write a more serious story, but there will be room for whimsy and tomfoolery. I will include more existential themes and don’t shy away from things getting dark. However, ahead of a campaign, triggers, topics to avoid and such will be discussed in depth! Once a group has emerged for a campaign, I want to hold a sort of early Session 0 where we all discuss ideas, early character concepts, opinions on possible plot arcs and I will obviously also be there to answer questions! We would probably have a second session 0 to discuss characters, backstories and such closer to when the actual campaign would start. With all this information put out there, I’m hoping the sessions can be weekly or biweekly. I know that is a fairly big commitment, but that’s also why the process before the Campaign is a little longer. I’m not just looking for future players, I’m looking for future friends! Now, onto the actual One Shot Pitch: Short Version: In a world where war rages constantly, you are just a mere commoner wanting to survive. They’re not your battles to be fought, yet in a world where the kingdoms never seizes to be at odds with one another, survival isn’t guaranteed. A local guild offers work for those considering themselves adventurers. You are hire to retrieve a family heirloom from a village that was decimated by a recent battle. While there is no eminent threat or any indications of more battles to happen there, venturing there will still be perilous. Will you find what you’re looking for? Long Version: Keocorra was once a land of peace, or so the elders teach to the youth to give them hope. They have never witnessed such an age. Even among the most long-living species, no one is alive to remember. Not even the Gods recall a time where there was peace. Perhaps it had never existed, alas the world burning was just as constant as the rise and fall of the sun. Like most of Keocorra’s people, you could not be further from the people declaring wars and sending their people to their deaths. No, you are as much of a bystander is your own world as the squirrels who bury their nuts on the battlefield and the birds endlessly fleeing from the sounds of battle. Perhaps, like them, you only wish to survive. Or perhaps you wish to help those around you; The fellow bystanders hoping not to end as collateral damage. The Plunderers Guild offers such opportunities. It is perhaps the lands first ever legal criminal organization, based on a technicality of local law no one has the time to adjust: Stealing isn’t legal in any of the kingdoms, of course. That’s clear enough, yet it doesn’t account for a technicality. While a conflict between two kingdoms is in effect, the disputed area, and wherever battles are fought, seizes to belong to anyone. You cannot steal something that doesn’t belong to anyone. “Plundering” describes the act of taking things from battlefields, yet it doesn’t actually qualify as stealing. The things you’re taking don’t legally belong to anyone. Now, it is illegal to be on these battlefields without a valid reason. Aside from being there for battle, there have never been valid reasons…until now. Timore, a kingdom towards the center of the continent, has been steadily losing land as they are fighting battles with kingdoms all around them. While treaties are being drafted, people are still losing their homes in order to have more space to battle. Under pressure from its people, the crown declared that any of its citizens may enter the battlefield if their former homes are now in the no-mans-land. This is where a very witty band of former criminals founded the Plunderer’s guild. Most common folk don’t have the courage or skill to enter the battlefield and return alive, yet, if they have the coin, they can pay someone to go in their place. The guild has strict guidelines and code of conduct, although not everyone follows those rules and how much they are enforced depends on which hub you are hired through. You are hired by the Plunderer’s Guild closest to the Eastern Border of Timore where battle rages with the Elven empire of Turve. Located in the town of Dolion, this hub of the guild is run by a Goliath know as “Ghun”. You are summoned to receive further instructions for your retrieval quest from him at the “Plunderer’s Tavern” at noon. How to join: Now that you have read everything, you may message me on here or directly on Discord @ “jaycy336”. Wherever you message me, please include your name, age, pronouns, experience level and what sparked your interest. I will then ask you some more questions and possibly request to briefly call so I can check your microphone.

The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
The world of Aeteris is vast and many of its corners unexplored. Whether out of a sense of duty, boundless curiosity or a stranger reason still, you have decided to explore this vast world and its many countries. Your travels have taken you to Tidehaven, a trading hub next to the the sea, which has been protected since time immemorial by the Song of the Siren, a mysterious phenomenon, that keeps monsters and other creatures away. This song, however, suddenly seizes just as you are about to depart. With the cities' only protection all but gone, it is your duty as adventurers (or, should you prefer, your ticket to some easy money...) to see what ill has befallen the siren and whether you can save her and Tidehaven along with it. But make haste, for monsters have been strangely active in Aeteris as of late. The game will be run through startplaying and is 25$ per person. The date is October 8th.

Characters are part of one faction (a nation or alliance) competing against other factions.  This campaign is for all players. Newer players are welcome. Using rules from any official books.  Games are Fridays weekly from 7:00 PM Pacific to 10:00 PM Pacific. Players will need Discord for talking, a free Forge Account, and we will be playing on FoundryVTT.

Chronicles of Runeheim

I'm opening a new campaign on my homebrew world inspired by Gilenor (rs3)! Summary For over a millennia, the Empire of Runeheim has enjoyed a fragile peace under the World Council. The Great God Wars are a distant memory, the gods themselves have been sealed away by the Edict of Guthix, and magic is now into the very skin of mortals through runic tattoos. But the silence of the gods is being broken. On the prehistoric island of Anachronia, archaeologists have unearthed inscriptions of "Ancient Gods" that predate creation itself. What will happen to the world in case all those inscriptions are really true? The Game: This is a long-term, high-fantasy campaign set in Runeheim, a homebrew world inspired by the lore and atmosphere of RuneScape (RS3/OSRS). You don't need to have played the games to be part of this campaign (and I honestly kinda prefer you didn't play, since there's a lot of changes xD) We will begin at Level 1 in the humble town of Catherby, eventually scaling to Level 20 as you navigate the main areas of the world in search of hidden artifacts alongside the archeologists. System: D&D 5e (2014 Rules with some 2024 additions) Time: Wednesdays at 7:00 PM EST Platform: Foundry + Discord Tone: The setting is very political, so it's serious but with room for humor. Think 70% Roleplay / 15% Exploration / 15% Combat. Pacing: Slow-burn. Your choices will matter later on the campaign, and background is necessary since it'll be implemented on the story. Who I am looking for: The Storytellers: Players who love to rp, develop their character’s goals, fears, and relationships. The Lore-Hounds: You don't need to know RuneScape lore (this is a homebrew spin), but you should enjoy uncovering world history and political secrets. Consistency: Since this is a long-term epic, I am looking for players who can commit to a weekly schedule. World Features: Runic Magic: A unique take on spellcasting where magic is tied to runic tattoos and "Pure Essence". Deep Factions: From the White Knights of Falador to the mysterious Prophets of Zaros. Meaningful Choices: No true scripted paths. Will you uphold the Empire’s order, or side with the chaos of the seas? Send me a DM if you want to take part of this story!

Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
The party is currently at level 3 and looking to grow it's ranks. They are about to embark on a journey with their dragon companion, Whisper, to investigate the legitimacy of 1 of 4 companies with potential ties to the Carrion Company. I will run a one on one session Zero with anyone interested! Dark Frontier Fantasy | Tactical Roleplay | Political Intrigue | Living World Campaign | Growing Items Starting at level 1 going all the way to 20! Azural remembers everything. In the foothills of the Drenthars, most names are forgotten, most contracts are written in dust, and only Azural itself bothers to keep score. You start in the fading frontier town of Arazar, just mere faces in the crowd, taking whatever work will keep you fed. • Escorting short caravans that never make the stories. • Settling petty border quarrels. • Finding the missing, no one can afford to mourn. • Looking the other way on smuggling runs. • Digging up graves for coins that barely shine. Small jobs for small people. Until Azural begins to change around you—and the first whispers of a divine crime start to echo from the shadows. Will you silence those whispers, or turn them into the cry that rights a long‑forgotten wrong? StartPlaying Game Link StartPlaying GM Profile
