Fabula Ultima (Natural Fantasy)

A streamlined ttrpg simulating old-school Jrpgs like Secret of Mana and Final Fantasy. Customizable characters and player narrative control in world building.  The world has been claimed by nature and adventurers search for magical shrines for power and treasure. Characters are part of one faction (a nation or alliance) competing against other factions.  This campaign is for all players. Newer players are welcome. Using rules from any official books.  Games are Fridays weekly from 7:00 PM Pacific to 10:00 PM Pacific. Players will need Discord for talking, a free Forge Account, and we will be playing on FoundryVTT.

War burns the galaxy for 100 years. It ends when Solaris System vanishes. No one knows why. Nations rebuild. But stars still vanish. Survivors tell impossible stories. Something consumes stars. Heroes stand amidst uncertainty.... A fight bigger than any one faction. Answers lie in Archeo-Thec ruins. What happened to Solaris? What caused the war to end? What force blotting out the stars? This is a West Marches style Techno Fantasy campaign. Inspired by Starwars, final fantasy and, Cowboy Bebop Levels 5-25 | 18+ | 12$ a mission | availbilty every day except mondays | OVERVIEW Starbright: Frontiers is a collaborative, spacefaring West Marches campaign. It’s designed for multiple GMs and a rotating pool of players. It blends Fabula Ultima’s combat and character progression rules with Ironsworn: Starforged’s focus on exploration and emergent storytelling. Set after a century-long interstellar war, the campaign centers on a galaxy trying to rebuild. Meanwhile, a mysterious force causes entire star systems to vanish without a trace. This project aims to create a living, persistent galaxy where player choices shape the setting over time, and multiple GMs contribute to a shared narrative. Howdy hi!! Shut-in world builder wizard here, just looking for cool people to bring to me and friends' online table for a bespoke variation of 3.5e D&D that focuses less on min-maxing/power-scaling and more on curiosity of the player, experimentation and a whole new toy box of fresh mechanics to dive into! Some of those mechanics share DNA with 5-5.5e concepts and might be familiar to players coming in from the most recent editions, and others have been forged from the mad scientist lab sessions of me and mine over several campaigns! We've got weird new races--psychic plant people, immortal deer fey, juggernaught dwarf-orc hybrids, sentient amnesiac undead, need I go on?! We've got intriguing reworks on old classics-- broad new specialization AND generalization options for casters, exciting new martial feats for bruisers of all types, and much needed re-balances for the discrepancies between Druid and Ranger! We've got an in-house, homemade character sheet template made in Microsoft Excel that tracks your bonuses, debuffs, gear weight, weapon rolls and all your stats in real time! We've got an entirely homebrewed, simple to understand, elemental damage counter system with a table of effects that completely turns the nature of how players and enemies utilize different damage types on its head! All this, and a chill, low-stress, inclusive table of nerds too! Sound good? Then give the profile a poke, and come see if your new favorite homebrewed TTRPG system will be ours! =)
