Bloody Spindle - an Incursion for Trophy Dark

Playtest
The game is still being tested, and your feedback is part of the point.
Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
The Briar is a section of the forest overgrown with thorny vines and rosebushes. It was once the home of a wealthy duchy, but the duke was forced to abandon his holdings when the forest encroached upon the land. The duke never managed to escape the forest. Rumor has it he left behind his greatest treasure within his castle for safekeeping, where it futilely awaits his return… or to be pillaged by enterprising treasure hunters. Bloody Spindle is a Trophy Dark Incursion inspired by dark fairy tales. It is a game about doomed treasure hunters entering a forest that doesn’t want them there. You will play treasure hunters motivated by near-impossible goals to seek out riches in the forgotten places of the world. You are not heroes, but entitled and desperate pillagers there to secure your own wants and needs. The treasure hunters are doomed, and they probably won’t achieve their goal. Instead, they are likely to die by the end of the game and watching how they go out is part of the fun. You will encounter conflict and tension between the treasure hunters, and they are encouraged to backstab and betray their companions in pursuit of their own goals. The game is highly collaborative and improvisational. Players have a lot of say over the world and can introduce elements no one was expecting. Important – Content Warning The game will be R-rated. Specifically, the game will feature central themes of sexual violence, pregnancy, miscarriage, infant death, body horror, and blood. We will discuss boundaries and implement safety tools before play. Players are never required to narrate or play out scenes of sexual violence. I am looking for players who can engage with the above themes in a mature manner, who enjoy collaborative horror, and who are willing to provide feedback after the session for the purpose of revising the scenario. Interested? Then please send me a message where you answer the following questions. Have you ever played Trophy Dark before? (No experience required) What interests you about this scenario? Are you sure you are comfortable playing a horror scenario involving the content warnings listed above? Are you willing to give feedback after the session? What do you enjoy most in horror RPGs? Which of the listed dates would you like to play? (You are welcome to list multiple) 18/10, 1/11, 15/11, 29/11 and 13/12

What Hides in Mountain Stone

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Hello everyone, Alex here! I am a new GM on Start Playing, and I am looking for players for my mini campaign. I am hoping to become a full-time GM and figured this was the best way to start. A bit about me: I've been a GM for 7 years. I am an artist, illustrator, animator, voice actor, and writer. And I absolutely love roleplaying!  Game Premise: In the world of Anangnibi (pronounced Ah-nahng-nee-bee) there looms a threat to the local towns and villages outside of a major port city called Agonan Mizhakwad (pronounced Ah-goh-nahn Meez-hahk-wahd). Reports of attacks have become more frequent and many have claimed to see a flying creature up within the mountains. Maps indicate that there is an old fort that has been empty for quite some time in the area. The local authorities have put up a reward for heroes to go and investigate the area and find out what has been happening. You as the heroes will find yourselves walking into the mountains to find the old hold, and once you get there, you'll find out that you have gotten far more than you bargained for. Who, or what, awaits within the halls of old abandoned stone? And will you survive the secrets within? Or will you be claimed by death much the same as those of the poor raided villages? Death lurks here, cold and indifferent like the sitting stone. You will need your strength and wit if you want to survive. So be prepared to face the challenges and discover the mystery of what hides within the mountain stone. Game Price: $25 per person  Session count: 1-3 sessions Session length: 4-5 hours Player Character Level: 5 System: D&D 5E Sourcebooks accepted: PHB 14, XGE, TCE, VGM (Other sourcebooks are open to discussion) Homebrew and 3rd Party: Open to discussion More information and details about the game can be found here on the Start Playing post: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmt21mabu0037l404tjn7c32u?ref=cmrmikhi800frl704k6ca84nl  Content warning: While I am a newbie player friendly DM/GM, the game I am running is a DEADLY game with a DEADLY dungeon; your characters have a high chance of dying. Please keep that in mind for this game. If you are not okay with character death, this may not be the game for you.  If you have any additional questions, please feel free to message me, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.  You can also get some more general information about me as a GM, as well as read previous player reviews through my Start Playing GM Profile here:  https://startplaying.games/gm/alexthedmpanda Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Sunday +2 GMT, biweekly, 20$ per session Foundry + Discord Sign up on Startplaying HERE - You are part of secret government organization that deals with unnatural threats and protects the world from experiences you will need to live for the rest of your life. Conducting a Delta Green operation is like an immune system response; you must identify and destroy the infection before it kills the body. This campaign comprises of six operations for new and old Delta Green players that would like to face reality where lovecraftian monstrosities are more down to earth then you would think. You can join for all of them as one ongoing cycle or pick and choose which operations you would like to be part of - check "party notes" below to see which operation is currently played. • Reverberations: Reverb is back in Chicago. Users vanish, leaving wrecked rooms behind. Stop the source of this unnatural threat. • Viscid: A geneticist dies in Seattle. Unnatural "Blue Blood" is spreading. Confront a lethal conspiracy before it’s too late. • Music From a Darkened Room: 18 people died at 1206 Spooner Ave. An agent just joined them. Enter the house that is cold, alive, and hungry. • Extremophilia: A deputy dies of poisoning in Montana. Stop a contagious threat before you become its next vector. • The Star Chamber: Adjudicate a mission in Myanmar. Replay choices to find the truth: did they betray humanity to the Tcho-Tchos? • Observer Effect: A lab looked too deeply into reality. Isolate the staffers before a mindless chaos consumes our existence. Never played Delta Green? Don't worry - game is simple and you will pick up the system as we play! We will kick off with session zero to agree on table rules and expectations. Before joining be aware that this game is for mature players and will involve difficult moral decisions as well as might involve emotional roleplaying about human relations and their slow degradation. It is not a happy game about killing monsters. It is a game about consequences. This is an ongoing campaign. We finished Viscid and are looking for fresh blood to start Music From a Darkened Room.

Weekdays only, a group decides on day & time Most people will probably play between 16:00 – 21:00 (GMT+0) Will be played in Discord voice chat, "Theatre of the Mind" playstyle (means no VTT) My Discord (weebseatshit) *PREMISE* You are dragged into a dangerous encounter together with other unlucky ones. Now you are bonded whether you want it or not. Since you are a witness, some people want you dead, watch your back(s) & trust no one It's a Forgotten Realms based, custom (homebrew) campaign with an emphasis on story, characters & adventures Some spells that affect game's balance & world, may be forbidden. It'll be discussed Instead of HP you have healthbars, & you don't know how big are your enemies healthbars Spells become cantrips I'll describe locations & looks with little to no details Just like with the books, i'd prefer that every player imagined their own stuff (& because there may be an info that player may not get or just ignore) Only these races are allowed: Human, Elf (Moon, Wood), Dwarf, Goliath, Tiefling (Purple, Pink, Blue), Tystling (a human with cat ears (& eyes)) These classes aren't allowed: Artificer, Barbarian, Monk, Psion A tystling is similar to a cat Monochrome darkvision Enhanced senses: smell, hearing, vision, touch & balance Soft step: walking is almost noiseless (unless a tystling has something noisy on), running is slightly quieter comparing to other races A tystling is shorter than an elf, but taller than a dwarf A tystling is slim like an elf, but lighter than an elf, with smaller muscles. That makes a tystling even more agile & dexterous than an elf, but it's very hard for a tystling to lift or carry medium heavy things

No politics of any kind: right, left, sexuality, real world religions, excessive feminism/whatever etc not allowed, if you have a need to make a fuss about that, you will be kicked out. It's perfectly fine to have those views, but don't bring them to the game (this is meant to be fun, social, intellectually challenging). If you have major psych problems that get in the way of simple social interaction (explosive outbursts etc) don't contact me. I do ask for telephone number just in case of you not showing up to game and you didn't tell me otherwise. Emergency stuff, like if you get sick or something. I do care about my players! 1 Give me warning 24 hours before the game if you are gonna cancel. I need the time to tell the others and cancel the game if I don't have enough people to play. This is non negotiable! 2 Play well with others. If you are too disruptive, I will boot you after several warnings. 3 Take a different role each new campaign. Try new things! 4 You have to show up to play 75% of the time. If you cancel too many times, there's no point to having you in the group. 5 Sometimes you will be required to take a role you don't really want because the rest of the group made their picks already, this is meant to help the group have versatility. If this happens, the next campaign I will make sure you get first pick as to your role/class. 6 If you have to make sacrifices for the group, like blowing feats on item crafting etc, I will try to send good things your way. Teamwork is important. I have been GMing since 1997 or so, cut my gaming teeth on AD&D first ed. I go above and beyond for my players. I am very adept at teaching, btw. This campaign is on Mondays at 6pm Central time Discord video chat, but we could change time/day if the other players are willing and able. Set in Chicago, I've added abilities to the NPCs to support their discipline powers, and set the whole timeline from Chicago 1 to 2 and beyond more gradually, changed who lives. Note that I have changed some of the clans a bit, like switched Gangrel(Sabbat) and City Gangrel (Camarilla), turned certain Brujah into True Brujah, a Ventrue into a Nosferatu, that sort of thing. Vampire has characters that are difficult to create without my assistance if you don't know how the numbers and discipline powers work (you distribute dots, there are no classes). However the game play dice mechanics/rules are easy as heck. The hard part is that it demands more forethought to play, because there's a lot of deceptive NPCs, including your own. It is oddly more ethical/moral than medieval fantasy games by far, even though you don't play a hero normally, and even though you're a vampire feeding on humans and aren't human yourself. It's darker I suppose, lots of intrigue and figuring out what is really going on. Kinda like watching Babylon 5 or Dune, you have to take notes to recall everything that could be vital later. A LOT less combat than medieval fantasy games! It's rare, but nasty when it does occur. Maturity is advised. Note that I broke my campaign down in a timeline, it can be altered by PC actions, even down to the year and month.  VERY DETAILED homebrew campaign that can be changed given PC choices. RIght now they are in late 1990 somewhere between Oct and December, you will get the PC's average xp to start with, along with a host of extra little benefits outside what the creation rules normally grant. You dictate the parameters, I figure out how to make the mechanics do what you want and tell you about potential problems, and I pick out flaws so as to give you your own story arc. Its also a great way to get rid of problem NPCs. The Dark Fate flaw is reserved for anyone meeting their end during Gehenna, the end of the world. See, the Antediluvians rise, and they are hungry for their clan members.... That doesn't mean you can't play, you can still run other characters even after your main one croaks. Official list of clans/bloodlines you can take in Chicago compatible with the group as it is: Nosferatu (must take Dark Fate flaw), Toreador, Ventrue, Brujah, Gangrel (Sabbat), Malkavian, City Gangrel (Camarilla), Tzimisce (must take the Dark Fate flaw), Gargoyle, Caitiff (Anarch typically), Assamite (Milwaukee Sabbat), True Brujah. Obscure list (you can take them if you want, but you won't have support from fellow clan members in Chicago): Daughter of Cacophony, Nagarajah, Salubri (Warrior and very Camarilla), Lamia.  Got a Cappadocian (a hospital morgue doctor and a necromancer), Salubri (one Healer(an FBI agent), one Watcher (a homicide Chicago police detective), and Lasombra (an amateur boxer and criminal lawyer, he wants to go Camarilla). I have set up each pc to have fast growth, to have really good rolls for their disciplines right away. The party could use a member that has Vicissitude, Animalism, Celerity (this requires high Wits) as clan, or possibly Temporis, Thaumaturgy. Luckily there's a 5 point merit that allows anyone to buy clan xp rates, hint hint. You gotta also pay for mentor ratings since you need a teacher to increase your disciplines outside of Celerity, Fortitude, Potence. BTW, I made these 3 powers much easier to use, and less vitae expensive. If you pick from the obscure list, you can BUY up to 7th generation, but you blow 6 background dots to pull it off.  Caitiff are interesting, I made them able to teach ANY discipline they learn; normally the 13 clans can only teach their clan disciplines. A Tremere is possible, but you'd need to be a diehard Anarch (meaning the local Tremere want your keister dead, although good news for you that the Chicago ones are less than competent). If you don't know the clans, I can give you information but you will need the V20 core rulebook (learning the setting and abilities but not the disciplines), the dark ages core rulebook (mostly just for the super powers/disciplines), tome of secrets (all forms of vampire magic, even Obtenebration), and Erciyes Fragments (this will feature heavily in the campaign, its the Vampire bible of sorts including prophecies) books. Also a total of 20 d10's, basically two matched sets of 10 d10's, but the 2 sets cannot match each other. Preferably translucent dice, not solid. Chuck out any that have bubbles inside. Game always starts at 6pm central Mondays. The Guide to the Camarilla from the Revised edition might be handy, but not strictly necessary. Prince's Primer is nice for understanding elder vampires' mindset. They are very manipulative, and deceptive. This is a copy of an update I gave to a player that missed a session: Both Michael Payne Toreador and Son of the Malkavians are dead, and Jay found another body in the basement, this time of a dead boy, a formerly months old vampire Caitiff. His name was Neon, and Damien of the Brujah (one of 2 anarch leaders was caring/teaching for Neon) Damien will have to be told. Neon was chained via manacles to the basement floor in Son's Skokie residence, his throat ripped out and his face gnawed upon. Evidence was found that Son was blackmailing Horatio Ballard into insane and demeaning acts. You could get a major boon from Ballard using this, or use it against him in other ways. (the players gave this information to the Nosferatu, who now owe them big time)  Ballard apparently has been naughty. Michael accidentally killed Son, and Michael is dead thanks to the party knocking him into torpor, and the elders ending him. recall, Michael was suicidal, and homicidal after the party ended his ex wife. plus had a rep for being a thug who used to cause chaos your character Salubri Healer just rescued the young couple that Son was psychologically torturing, and you shot Michael (bashing damage, just reduced him to torpor) as he tried to use Ben the Cappadocian as a shield

We are currently looking for: 1 player for online sessions, and many more for Play by Post! 🩸Brussels is the capital of Europe. To the mortals, it’s a surreal maze. To the Camarilla, it’s a gilded cage. The year is 2016. Prince Vermeulen has wiped the court floor clean to make room for a fresh generation of neonates. You arrive in the City with a target on your back, drafted into a game you don’t yet understand. Here, your word carries weight, and your loyalty to the Camarilla is your only shield — for now. Beyond the polished marble of Elysium, older factions and darker mysteries are waiting. Every alliance has a price. Every secret is a weapon. Your actions will test your Humanity and shape the City. Your failures will shape your execution. How long will you navigate the corridors of power? Will you rise in the City of Wastrels or vanish from records and memories? Brussels is watching, and Brussels remembers. - Vampire: The Masquerade 5th edition. Mature audience, adults only. - Play by Post starts at 6.99 EUR/month via ko-fi: https://ko-fi.com/hiddenson/tiers - Beginners welcome, LGBTQ+ and kink friendly.

The era of mortals is coming to a close. Time, once a flowing and vast fact of life, is being eaten away by a divine stasis known as The Fog. More than half of the planet and its people have been swallowed by it now, leaving a sparse few beacons of light in the ever growing darkness. Our story begins in the 11th month of the year 3046PS, roughly 60 years after the first sightings of The Fog, as one of the final refugee ships from the west dock in the port city of Punto de Partida. Snow falls upon our fated party as they’re engulfed by the anxious city and its people, having only themselves to fend for against a world nearly frozen. You, dear survivor, live while the timer of the end ticks down. What will you do in the final years of mortals? Will you spend them ignoring the inevitable and indulging in what little comforts are left, or will despair halt you even before stasis arrives? Or maybe you have hope of a miracle, be it from the gods or crafted by your own hands. Just how much, I wonder, would you be willing to lose to save the world? [This campaign is set to be a long-term, slowburn story focused on character development and roleplay. Much of its world, people and cultures are open for players to imagine and make their own, making it perfect for players who love world building and crafting intricate backstories. The story will cover many of the expected topics for a pre/mid apocalyptic setting, as well as heavy themes such as classism, genocide, xenophobia and racisim/speciesism. Other sensitive topics may be covered barring any content that players can choose to veto; my goal as a DM is to make an immersive and realistic world while showing utmost respect to my players while doing so.]

Survival horror, sci-fi  campaign based on the indie game "SIGNALIS" , played with  modified cp-red meccanics. [This table usses a slightly Faster PbP format , especially when It comes to in game conversations] ________________________________ You will find yourselves on the frozen moon of Rotfront, where the Hayades multi-function maintenance station has ceased communication with the outside world and things are taking a strange turn... all while a mysterious state of emergency is declared. In this campaign, you can choose from a wide range of roles based on the survival horror game "SIGNALIS"—a sci-fi communist dystopia featuring retrowave technology. Your characters can be either a Replika (a biomechanical construct based on a mental pattern) or a Gestalt—an ordinary and "free" Eusan citizen. GAMEPLAY: -Roleplay -Combat and scarce resources: Although most CP mechanics will be heavily overshadowed by resource scarcity, the campaign's survival horror mechanics ensure there is never a dull moment. This campaign may contain: gore, sexual/psychological themes, and—above all—cosmic horror; madness is not a matter of "if," but of "how much." (18+) The campaign's homebrew content includes: -Races and models (Gestalt, Replika) -Changes to cyberware compatibility -Addition of a new weapon type (carbine) -Buffs to automatic fire and SMGs; changes to certain rates of fire -Various exotic weapons -Buffs to certain cyberware -Bioresonance mechanics Billing: of course you will never be asked to pay to play or to continue playng, but donations are wellcome and help me keep putting all the effort i put on the games i run. (A lot, too much probably)

House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Good day everyone, I am seeking some players for a Chronicles game based on a small fictional island in the UK. The Premise The game will be set in a remote and eccentric university in 1946 England, where the players will be attending. They will start the game as regular mortals and will be exposed to various oddities and strangeness on the isle, putting them in contact with various occult based groups. Eventually this may lead to the players learning magic in a system similar to WoD Sorcerers as they delve deeper into the magic and mysteries of the strange land they now study in. The Time There no specific time set for the game, but I am planning for it to be around 18:00 GMT on Tuesdays, weekly. I am however very open to working with my players to figure out a time that works for everyone. How to Contact If this post interests you please shoot me a message here or on Discord so we can chat and see if you’re a good fit for the game. Can’t wait to hear from you all :)

Mystery in Durst Manor | D&D 5e (2014) One-shot

Paid game
The Game Master charges a fee to run the game.
Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
Start spooky season early with a mystery and a dungeon crawl for Level Two Adventurers! You and your friends get sucked into a video game and find yourselves in the bodies of your avatars. You can't log off. You don't know what happens if you die. Your only hope is to win the game. - Explore a dungeon in a virtual world. - Fight any monsters that get in your way. - Escape with your lives. For fans of Dungeon Crawler Carl, Jumanji, or Sword Art Online, this one-shot turns a classic gothic horror D&D adventure into an isekai/portal fantasy.  Create your D&D character at Level Two as normal, except for your personality traits, ideals, bonds, flaws, and backstory. For those pieces, imagine an Earth-human who would create this D&D character as an avatar in an online RPG. Use the 27-Point-Buy method for your stats. You may use the following 5th Edition resources for character creation: - Player's Handbook - Volo's Guide to Monsters - Tasha's Cauldron of Everything - Xanathar's Guide to Everything - Mythic Odysseys of Theros - Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft When your character sheet is finished, send a copy to the DM. This game is also posted on StartPlaying.Games for $15 https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmtnkf5ec00rfk3045bov09g0?ref=clsweaag8006e6ql9qjn0369w

Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Whatever the opposite of a railroaded adventure is, this open-world campaign is that. The rules are simple. The world is complicated. What happens to it is up to the players. You will hear rumors, discover locations, meet competing factions, and encounter problems, but the game will not tell you which direction you must take. Some things the players have chosen to do so far: Join the local mercenaries to learn the ways of the sword as a mage - Retrieve an old lady's purse - Become war chieftain of an orc village - Decapitate a wight with a cursed sword Also some new races that are crafted to play and feel very different: - Pixie - fly, perfect hiding, cast phantasmal forces at will, insults cause physical damage to you - Orc - infra-vision, can recruit monsters more easily Races and classes are kind of blended together. Multiple characters are encouraged. Each choice allows you to do something that appears to let you break the game, while saddling you with something else that seems debilitating. This is by design, and players have come up with a few ways of getting around and abusing these things to the betterment of the story and lore. - Fighting-Man - Doesn't have to actually be a guy, but is a human. Can use all weapons and armor. - Magic-User - Has one spell, one "shot". Can meet with magic learned peers to exchange knowledge. The most notorious spell in the game right now is Charm Person because it doesn't wear off like in later editions. - Cleric - The best of the two above, but must be Good, and by the Law. - Elf - Essentially a Magic-Use/Fighting-Man with extra perks and ties with elves and the ability to sense magic, enhanced senses, etc. but capped at a certain point - Hobbit - Capped early, but can hide flawlessly in urban areas and snipe REAL good with slings. No magic. - Dwarf -  Capped early, but high resistance, good with all axes and hammers, can sense what stone touches and its shape, and ties with and extensive knowledge of dwarven culture and holds. There are major events going on in the background but instead of shoving players in the middle of them, I showcase the developments of those events that come about, for good or ill. The players decide what to investigate, whom to trust, which dangers are worth confronting, and what their characters want to accomplish. How many hirelings do you need to bring with you? How much can you do successfully alone to maximize profit? Play alone, 1-on-1 with DM and player, or up to 10 others at once. The world continues to develop around the party. Factions pursue their own plans, NPCs remember your actions, enemies adapt, settlements can change, and neglected situations may grow better or worse. Player choices can permanently reshape the campaign world. Let me know if you are interested!

Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
LGBTQ+ friendly
The table is openly welcoming to LGBTQ+ players.
Hey there! I'm looking to set up a Curse of Strahd campaign and I'm in need of a DM to run it! I already have a list of potential players from a reedit post I made, I'm just waiting on a DM before I reach back out to any of them Little bit about me: my name is Psychi (they/them). I'm a goth, queer, disabled TTRPG player who's been playing DnD for just over a decade, and DMing for about a year now. Despite this, I've never been able to play a COS campaign before. It's always been on my list, but I've never had a DM willing to commit to such a long campaign... 😓 Welp, I just moved to portland a bit ago and I'd love to see if anyone was interested in starting a game with me? I'm hoping for a fun, spooky, queer-friendly experience that doesn't shy away from the horror and upsetting nature of the setting I'm flexible on the location, as long as it's in the portland area and easy to get there via public transportation. I'm also flexible about whatever date/time we end up playing because I want to try and find something that fits with everybodies schedules. Pls feel free to reach out if you're interested in DMing for us 😊

Premise In the city of Archester, there has always been strange things hiding behind the mist of every corner in the city. However this time, the horror hides just by the outskirts of the city... an unsuspecting rundown motel that looks just like any of the other buildings in the outskirts that are unfortunately not important enough to be maintain by the City's governor or other major private developers. Legend has it that some of the guests that checked into the motel were never seen again... or stories of a cult living inside of the motel have also been heard... And the strangest thing is that just like any other rumour, this very motel seems to have been popping up at different corners of the city... Would you be daring enough to find out the truth of this urban legend? Details - Genre: Horror, Mystery and Thriller - Characters: Pregens Available / OCs allowed - System: City of Mist - Medium: FoundryVTT / Discord - Player Slots: (Looking for up to 6 players) - Day and Time: Most likely looking for around next week (Will update on this once I can get some interest on this) - Session duration: 3-4 hours

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
So it took me longer than expected but i am finally getting stuff together for my own campaign. Maps and minis and stuff. I would prefer to have players who can commit to regular play but i can easily work with absences due to the nature of the campaign. I am still looking for around 60/40 roleplay/combat.  I am willing to do a short one or two session adventure in my setting if people want to feel things out first. I intend to rent out the private room for sessions. I don't know if this matters to people but I have 0 desire to use AI in any of my campaign so if that matters to you there you go. A summary of the setting and what's going on as relayed by Arius, the figure with the bow in the images:  Long ago, when gods ruled the land, and men sailed the sea, when the earth trembled and the sky broke, a great beast rose up in the shadows, and cast the world into perpetual twilight. As the shadows grew long, horrible monsters rose from them. For many long years, the gods fought against this darkness, but they struggled. They cast their holy light upon the beast, but the brighter it burned, the darker the shadows became.  Finally, in the year 482 of the common era, Lifskona, the goddess of the sun, queen of the heavens, made a deal with the men of the sea. They would be allowed dominion over the land, in exchange for driving the beasts away, so that the gods could direct their power towards their true foe. Man would be blessed with great magic to aid in this war.  Their attention no longer divided, the gods soon succeeded in binding their foe, and banishing him from the mortal realm, ending the long twilight. It was not so easy for man. Even with their new power, the tribes of the sea struggled to gain ground against the monsters we call the Drak.  What the gods percieved as a short conflict was a multigenerational war of attrition. Neither side gained ground and the fields of Flodlan ran red with blood.  It seemed the violence would never end. Many considered returning to the sea, and a happier world. It was only 20 years ago that the Namea appeared from the south to lend us their aid. Mysterious and wise, they turned the tide at the brink of defeat, and together with the men of the sea, pushed the Drak west into the desert.  Ram Anu, our king and the man who led us in that final push, rode back different. Nobody who rode with him will speak of what occurred.  6 years ago, the king rode out again, to end the Drak menace once and for all. He has never returned.  If that piques your interest, let me know. I know i've posted about this twice now. It's just taken a while to get things going.

Hollows of Iparea [Text-based] Pitch: You have arrived on a dying planet with no recollection of how you got there. Something is terribly wrong, that much is certain, and worse yet, the planet itself appears to be living. Thralls of an unintelligible hive mind are the only remnants of intelligent life to be seen, and you see echoes of past civilizations in abandon everywhere around you. Your crashed vessel and memories offer no help, and whatever happened here, your survival may depend on a species you cannot understand. System: 5e legacy Tools: Discord, Owlbear Rodeo (VTT). This is a text campaign, you do not need a mic. D&DBeyond sheets are preferred but any others are allowed. Schedule: Fridays, 5 PM - 7 PM EST. Seats: 6 Expectations Game: Players of all experience levels are allowed, but I ask that beginners have a basic understanding of the game's mechanics and know how to create a character beforehand. My DMs are always open for any questions, comments, or concerns about the game. I ask that players don't use AI for responses or for character art. Flying races and Warforged (they don't exist in the setting) are banned. Rudimentary firearms are a thing, and gunslingers are allowed, but modern firearms and technology do not exist. Homebrew is not allowed for classes, and any other homebrew must be run by me. UA and official WotC material is, of course, allowed. 18+ is preferred, and this game is strictly 16+. Characters start at 5th level. Themes: In a nutshell: semi-sci-fi, high fantasy/cosmic horror. This game's overall themes revolve around memory, identity, and isolation. This game also involves elements of survival horror, and resources will be tracked (and scarce). Tone: Overall surreal, bleak, and atmospheric. Safety Tools: TTRPG Safety Checklist & pre-game interview. You can reach out to me at @paws4reason on Discord.

Paid game

Combat focused
Fights, tactics and initiative take up most of the table time.
Welcome to the Somnium Shard. A sundered paradise; knowledge, gods and power's all known throughout the land, its history coveted by lost tomes, cosmic knowledge and crazed minds. With earliest carvings detailing a different world that may have been the Shard's muse, the inspiration for reality. However not all could be replaced, and the world's panorama was in its own natural discourse, with the residents at home. With that overly grand intro done welcome to my personal world, a multi-year labour of love that I'm still working on with every session, a sandbox type world for players to discover, learn about and influence as they desire. Designed as an open campaign for players to fit into as they wish, follow the threads of their backstory, or start a questline that leads to them swearing loyalty to a kingdom. Whatever it is you feel you want to do in a fantasy world I'll accommodate it as well as I can. However do not think that this means everything is free, the Somnium Shard is still a living and breathing world, thievery, murder and the sort will have consequences, as will trying to steal that magical artifact. You'll have to contend with mages scrying on you, rangers tracking you and bounty hunters after you if you upset the wrong people. So come and join the adventure, see where your characters can take you, how they can evolve and develop in this world with a DM that can handle whatever you feel like throwing at him. While others use their magical and biological material to enhance themselves. The gods are here but they're insignificant for some odd reason.

Unrest can be felt throughout the town of Phandalin, but not all is what it seems; perhaps more than goblin and man's greed, threatens the town.. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ Adventures aren't always simple let alone straight forward, sometimes there's a misstep, sometimes something else comes along throws things into a spiral; and some times, there's something that lays in wait for the prefect moment to strike.. This just may be one of those moments, a seemingly simple job to escort a wagon to a the quaint little town of Phandlin, for a dwarven patron, 10gp to each person who delivers he supplies without fail to the owner of Barthen's Provisions; simple, straight forward, though not all is well within the town, and something just beneath the surface begins to make its move.. You can handle goblins and creatures that go bump in the night; but can you handle things from beyond this realm, things that feast on your mind and twist reality? Will you save town that knows not that it needs saving or will you save yourself? ⛥⛧⛥ Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk takes a classic adventure and reimagines it while also building on it with another adventure that has you deal with creatures of the Underdark and even things from the Far Realms. This is an module/adventure prefect for new players and veterans of D&D. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ This game can go beyond the base adventure/module and into another, higher level game! Starting at 3rd level and goes to level 20 should game continue! Join: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmt2wo1uc004nla04axuz1av3?slug=fallen0ne

There's nothing like childhood whimsy, adventures, and mischievous fey; take a stroll through the Faewild, ignore the creeping mist and shifting shade.. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ "The carnival goes round and round, the multiverse, our playground, nothing's free and nothing's lost; every visit... has its cost.." A old dream, a repeating echo, these words come to you, again and again over the years, be it a dream, a nightmare, a memory, they come to you, haunt you; they are a part of you, just like your hand is part of your arm, they are there, imprinted upon your very being, only time will tell if you come to understand their meaning.. A wonderous carnival, the sound of boisterous laughter, twisted grins of a pair of old elves, a vague memory has surfaced from the depths of your mind, giggles and starlight seem to guide your way of late, a fog you never realized was there has lifted and an old ache has returned, a sharp and heavy weight on your heart, something you lost ages ago, you had forgotten the weight, the loss, the need to retrieve something you are unsure of, but the memoires are growing stronger; the echoing laughter of others carries on the wind, the words once spoken hum in your mind.. "Silly screeching cricket; you forgot to buy a ticket.." - ".. Every visit has its cost.." Your feet lead you to where you need to be, your mind warns you of things you have no memory of, but you know for sure, this is your chance to retrieve what has been lost, your chance to be whole after so long; but this time, this time you know well, one does not enter the Witchlight Carnival without payment of some kind, and you'll be damned if you'll lose something else.. Best be sure to grab a ticket this time around.. and do ignore that creeping shadow out the corner of your eye, that feeling of being watched, the rolling of fog that has been building of late; surely its nothing to worry about, right?.. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ This game Starts with Beyond the Witchlight and transfers into a higher level and higher stakes run of Curse of Strahd! Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Im interested in finding 4-5 players, who would be interested in playing Aquelarre, which is a medieval demonic fantasy role-playing game.  Aquelarre is set in the Iberian Peninsula during the 13th and 14th centuries of the Middle Ages. Players take on the roles of normal humans who walk a fine line between living ordinary and legal lives of drudgery, or using forbidden magic to lift themselves out of squalor. For more information check out the wiki: information about the game I'm new to this game myself and as of yet there is no campaign. But for playtime I'm planning on creating a mini-campaign or just run 2-4 sessions of loosely tied adventures. Ideally sessions would take place on one fixed day during the workweek starting from 18:00 CET. The first session would be character creation as the game offers very unique backgrounds & professions and then also a mini-adventure to familiarise ourselves with the basic rules. If you are interested write to me here or on discord (mekaso).

Hi.  I run a game on Wednesdays. Eastern time zone on Discord that I feel needs one additional player.   It's a young group (20's, 30's) and have been around for a few years.   There are 5 players.  The game itself has the players with corporate security jobs defending against alternate realities/histories.   So, extreme violence but with the occasional HR training module about problemsolving skills. Yes,  the worst of two worlds. Because it's alternate reality fighting alternate realities, the player can be whatever they want, quite literally anything.  GURPS allows the players to create whatever comes to your imagination,  but we'll worry about that later.  The tricky part isn't what we do but how.  The group does try to outdo each other in weirdness.   It's not murderhobo, but a new unprecedented thing.   So, you will have to keep that in mind.   This is not for the humorless or overly moral or easily uncomfortable. Think of this as a means to lead you down a new path,  one where you learn about a you that you have never met but has always known was there or you get your money back,  no questions asked.  Feel free to message me or discord - yeroldpalwill.  Seriously, they're a nice group of people and you'll have fun.   Having a sense of humor & a personality is a huge plus.  Thank for reading this far.  If you're a newbie  don't worry,  I'll help with the character.   Just combine your two favorite movie, literature, or anime genres together.  Also, Wednesdays,  7 PM eastern.

D&D 5e  Weekly Fantasy Campaign | New Players Welcome! A powerful magical crown once kept the kingdom at peace. Long ago, it was shattered, and ever since, the world has slowly fallen into chaos. Monsters are becoming more aggressive, tensions between regions are rising, and different factions are secretly searching for the crown’s broken pieces each with their own plans for its power. You’ll begin as ordinary adventurers taking on local jobs, but those seemingly small problems will soon reveal a much bigger story. ⚔️ What to Expect: • Weekly D&D 5e sessions • Fantasy adventure & exploration • Mystery and secrets to uncover • Character-driven storytelling • Roleplay-focused gameplay • Meaningful choices and consequences • A story where your decisions can shape the world As the campaign progresses, you may have to decide what should happen to the crown: restore it, destroy it, or decide who deserves its power. 🎲 Looking for Players — Endrazla: The Tower System: D&D 5e Setting: Homebrew / Dark Fantasy / Weird Fantasy Format: Online Looking for: Players who enjoy roleplay, exploration, strange worlds, and actually getting invested in their characters. Endrazla is a massive afterlife known as the Tower. Every floor is its own world, with its own rules, cultures, dangers, and mysteries. The further you climb, the less certain it becomes what the Tower actually is—or what awaits at the top. The campaign mixes Elden Ring-style mystery and atmosphere, Tower of God-style exploration and progression, and classic D&D adventuring, with plenty of room for character-driven moments and absolutely stupid decisions. One of the most important places in the setting is the Tavern of Anxiety, a strange sanctuary between worlds where adventurers, dead gods, monsters, travelers, and other questionable individuals come to drink, argue, make deals, and occasionally save reality. I'm looking for players who want to build characters that actually belong in the world, rather than just showing up to roll dice. Your character doesn't need to be heroic—just interesting. I'm also a very improv-heavy DM. Endrazla is entirely my own setting, so I'm much more interested in creating a good story and rolling with what the players do than stopping the game every five minutes to argue over a rule. The rules are there to help us have fun, not the other way around. If you come up with something cool that makes sense for your character, I'm usually going to find a way to make it work. If you're into: - 🗺️ Exploring bizarre original worlds - ⚔️ D&D combat that actually matters - 🎭 Character-driven roleplay - 🧩 Mysteries and lore - 🍻 Tavern shenanigans - 💀 Dark fantasy without taking itself too seriously - 🤝 A group that wants to actually become a party I'd love to hear from you. I'm especially interested in players who are willing to help build the story alongside the DM rather than expecting a completely pre-written railroad. Welcome to Endrazla. The Tower is waiting.

It's 16+ bc i don't like children. -- September 6th, 2010 You've managed to somehow end up in detention on the first week of highschool. It's almost a skill, really. The clock scrapes against itself, you can't believe you have to stay here for the next 6 hours, and just when the rot of boredom begins to eat your mind. A Blackbird flies through the window and Gives you a quest. -- Based on late 2000s culture, and shitty highschool movies. The world is cruel and you are a child, endure these remaining years of your adolescents while fighting horrors and sealing 'dragons'  within the crust. Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
AMERICA HAS FALLEN. THE WASTES AWAIT. The year is 2024. The world ended in a matter of weeks. First came the undead pouring out of Eastern Europe. Then came Operation PEACE—a brutal, systemic plot by global powers to betray, enslave, and exterminate the world's demi-human population. As the military turned on its own demi-human soldiers, lines folded, and America crumbled. On July 4th, 2023, Washington, D.C. was reduced to rubble. Now, in the zombie-infested marshlands of Atlantasia County, Louisiana, the survivors fight for what's left. Which side will you choose? THE FACTIONS The Peacekeepers: A brutal right-wing military junta claiming to be the true heirs to the U.S. They enforce a regime of hatred, killing or enslaving all demi-humans on sight. The NAA (New American Union): A fragile wartime coalition of rebels, centrists, and anarchists fighting a total war for freedom against the Peacekeepers. Peacekeeper Reformists: A heavily armed splinter group that rejects the bigotry, believing America can only be reborn through the unification of all survivors—by diplomacy or dominion. Aculon: An authoritarian coastal empire that believes the American identity is dead and buried, aiming to build something entirely new. The Raiders: Lawless, selfish bands plundering the wastes. BRUTAL SOULS-LIKE SURVIVAL Actions have permanent consequences here. We feature a high-stakes death mechanic: 1st Death: A freebie. A narrow escape, a heavy scar, and a lesson learned. 2nd Death: PERMADEATH. If you fall again, your character is gone for good. Choose your battles wisely. WHAT WE OFFER Complete Character Freedom: Play as a human survivor or any type of anthro demi-human you can imagine. Fair & Balanced Gameplay: To keep things fair for everyone, demi-human status is purely cosmetic and roleplay-focused—there are no mechanical buffs. Active, Dedicated GMs: Our team is constantly brewing up new enemies, fresh narrative storylines, and custom equipment/loot to discover. Combat to Cozy: Balance brutal zombie survival and political war with deep slice-of-life roleplay. Build up your camp, form bonds, start romances, and find moments of peace amidst the chaos. Text-Based RP & Sessions: A welcoming text-RP community with organized homebrew TTRPG mechanics. MATURE CONTENT WARNING (18+) This is a STRICTLY 18+ SERVER. Because of the dark, gritty nature of the wasteland, our roleplay features heavy, mature themes. This includes violence, gore, dark lore, and erotic subjects/sexual content (ERP). Age-gating/verification may apply upon entry. Interested in surviving the wastes? Jo

G'day g'day! I'm Kregler! You can call me Jasper or Jazza if you really like. I'm 21 and would consider myself a fairly intermediate DM, having DM'd on and off over the past 3 years for short stints- though I have been playing MUCH longer. Just to establish some expectations as to what I'm looking for in players... I'm seeking a group of people who are within my age group. Meaning over 18 and preferably under 30. This will be a fairly average sized group of four players, with a focus on combat and roleplaying in the combat, with a strong focus on the party's dynamic. Just a thing of personal taste- I find AI character art to be VERY jarring and it honestly just breaks my focus, so please don't use it, I'm happy to help you find alternatives. Also, please for the love of the Lord, do not use AI to generate your backstories. Sessions will be hosted at 5:30pm AEST every Saturday, either weekly or fortnightly depending on the general preference. If you're in an American or European timezone, you very well may struggle! Planning on starting a Session 0 on the 22nd of August, with Session 1 on the 5th of September. You will all be starting at Level 3! Anyways... some info on the setting and campaign. Falkovnia is a Ravenloft setting, with a LOT of zombies. Characters will originate from a Faerun that is far more grim to fit the theme. Expect an intense amount of combat with endless hordes of the undead and an exploration of the very human horror of war. As for your characters... The black shadow of War has always hung over you. The hatred upon the faces of foes you've slain, the death-rattles of your family slaughtered in a raid, or the tears you have wrought in shattering families by your own atrocities. Mayhaps you've tried to escape it. Mayhaps you've accepted your lot. Mayhaps you could never live without it. An incredibly lucrative offer in a wartorn land leads your characters to the eternally burning forest of the Château de Levagneux - the sight of a terrible massacre. A noble man from the local Kingdom desperately clutches at the idea his family may yet be found, even if that means sending fodder down the rabbit hole. Something terrible hides in the thick smoke and cinders, none of the locals dare go near, for those who do oft never return. It draws you further in, still. A part of you - more ancient then your spirit or soul - can feel what is beyond there. Its all too familiar. Application link below! https://forms.gle/L9qfa135raMjupbLA

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Emberfell — Homebrew D&D 5e Campaign (Roll20, Level 3 Start)System: D&D 5e. Platform: Roll20, with a potential switch to Foundry VTT as sessions progress - voice via Discord. Format: Long-term homebrew campaign, multi-arc. Starting Level: 3 Players Needed: Additional 3 to 4 players. Currently have 1. Beginner-Friendly, no 5e experience required - those with experience will be prioritized. Schedule: Sundays, Weekly/bi-weekly - exact 2/3hr slot to be agreed with the group in advance, weekly, between the hours of 3pm and 9pm. The Pitch: Emberfell is a world that broke and never fully recovered - the sun's been dim since a calamity nobody can fully explain, and nobody living remembers it any other way. You'll start as a hired escort for a noble house's cargo, but a theft in a back alley on your first night out is going to pull you into something much bigger: an exiled angel bargaining with demons, a game piece that shouldn't be as powerful as it is, and a child who isn't supposed to still be alive. Tone: Tone is dark, but not grim-dark - morally grey NPC's, Real consequences, some geniune horror beats, but plenty of room for humor & for player-driven stories to unfold at the (virtual) table. Session 0 covers safety tools, such as safe words, topics a player wouldn't want within the campaign & tone expectations before we start. Looking for: Players who actually want to engage with the plot, NPC's & roleplays. Someone who will show up consistently, and is fine with a slower-burn mystery campaign, rather than pure dungeon crawling. New to 5e format is fine, as long as you actually want to roleplay. Drop a comment or DM if interested - Discord is attached. Add me or shoot me a message, and I'll send over some in-game lore so you can get a feel for the world, followed by a character creation guide (races, tone, what fits the setting) to get your character sorted. Once everyone's set, we'll run an online Session 0 as a group - safety tools, expectations, and a chance to actually meet each other before anything's played out. From there, each of you gets a quick one-to-one Session 0.5: a short solo scene built around your character's own backstory, no other players involved. Session 1 is where the party's characters actually meet each other for the first time. Thanks!!

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Welcome to ODIN, the Order of Dimensional Intelligence and Neutralization. You are a Judicar, an elite field agent assigned to a special team known as a Vanguard. Your missions will take you across the last surviving planet in the universe, where you will investigate, document, contain, or neutralize dangerous anomalies. How you handle each anomaly is entirely up to you. Study it. Negotiate with it. Contain it. Destroy it. Taste it to see if it has a chocolate flavor. Accidentally make everything worse. ODIN trusts your judgment. Usually. Think the SCP universe meets D&D 5e, with fantasy, science fiction, eldritch horror, firearms, strange investigations, and occasional chaos. ALSO: You have a plant scorpion turtle cat as your companion. So you know the level of weird you can expect. Session Details: Beginner friendly Biweekly on Sundays 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Eastern Time Approximately 3.5 to 4 hours per session Discord for voice Foundry VTT for maps, combat, and gameplay Approximately 60% roleplay and 40% combat POC and LGBTQ+ friendly English will be used during the game, but banter in other languages is welcome. Players must be 25 or older because of the mature themes. But happy for someone to join who is 21+ so long as they are aware of the themes and ideas. Genres include fantasy, science fiction, horror (eldritch and cosmic - so consider that a warning), comedy Campaign requirements (the boring, but vital stuff): Be friendly, reliable, and invested in the campaign and its story. Respect everyone at the table. Hate speech, discrimination, harassment, or privately messaging other players without their permission will not be tolerated. There will be no second chances for serious violations. Campaign features (the fun stuff): You can create almost any kind of character. A vampire elf? A werewolf artificer? A gun-toting raccoon with unresolved emotional problems (essentially Rocket Raccoon). Yes, you can. Just discuss your concept with me first so I can approve it (and it doesn't read like a God/Super Saiyan character). There are guns. Pistols, revolvers, sniper rifles. Plasma gun. Also, gun modifications. Hey, it's the future. Classes and subclasses? Sheeeee. There's a lot of them (Mystic is already taken though).

Examples include: - Magical Law - Ritual Studies - Alchemy - Spirit Research - Enchantments - Magical Medicine - Ancient Languages --- What's your life like outside class? Do you... - Work at a bookstore? - Play in a local band? - Run the campus radio station? - Captain an intramural team? - Volunteer in town? - Spend every night buried in the library? --- How do you feel about magic? Maybe it's... - Your calling. - Your family tradition. - Just another subject to pass. - A burden. - An obsession. - Something you're still learning to trust. --- Why did you come to the Conservatory? Everyone has their own reason. Maybe you wanted: - Knowledge. - Freedom. - Answers. - Prestige. - Adventure. - A fresh start. --- 💬 Roleplaying Tips Your character is an adult, but adulthood doesn't mean having everything figured out. Lean into uncertainty. Make mistakes. Build friendships. Question authority. Support your classmates. Sometimes the biggest victories happen outside of combat. --- 📖 What Your Character Knows Every student knows: ✅ Magic exists. ✅ The Nocturne Conservatory is one of the oldest magical colleges in the world. ✅ Duskfall has a hidden magical community. ✅ Magical traditions are deeply important. ✅ Strange things occasionally happen around town. Your character does **not** automatically know: ❌ Every magical secret. ❌ Every hidden faction. ❌ The truth behind Duskfall's history. ❌ Why certain traditions exist. Those answers will be discovered throughout the campaign. --- 🌒 Welcome to Duskfall Study hard. Trust carefully. Question everything. Because in Duskfall... **Some secrets have been waiting centuries for someone to uncover them.** Like to application: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf784PDqgFyQQcG_tInei2V3mVF9q-hKDGLUMwY23YeFNjbSA/viewform?usp=header

“Under a sky streaked gold with morning light, the little town of Phandalin bustles with the everyday magic of a frontier settlement. Merchants haggle over goods, children chase chickens through the square, and old miners swap tall tales at the tavern. But beneath this peaceful surface, something ancient stirs. This is Phandalin. This is Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk. And you are about to become the heroes this town didn't know it needed.” 🎲 Level Range: 1–12 🖥️ Platforms: Foundry VTT, Discord (Voice), and Start Playing Games (Scheduling & Payments) ⏰ Session Length: 3.5–4.5 hours, every Tuesday at 9:00 AM EST (1:00 PM GMT) 💰 Price: $20 per session 🆓 Session Zero: Completely free! The campaign is fully supported through Foundry VTT, featuring automation, dynamic maps, immersive audio, visual effects, and streamlined character management to keep the focus on roleplay, exploration, and adventure. Above all, this table is a safe and welcoming space for every kind of player. Whatever your background, whoever you are, you can set your worries aside and step into a journey full of fantasy and mystery alongside friends old and new. This adventure is also especially crafted for beginners, those who don't yet know much about the world of Dungeons & Dragons or the system that ties it all together. I'll be right there to guide you every step of the way, so whether you've never rolled a d20 in your life or you're a returning adventurer, Phandalin has a place for you at its table. 🏳️‍🌈 Safe and Welcoming Space This table is built on respect, inclusion, and collaboration. Everyone is welcome here, regardless of identity, background, or experience with tabletop RPGs. Whether you're rolling your very first d20 or you're a seasoned adventurer, you'll find a friendly group ready to share an unforgettable story together. The goal is simple: make sure every player feels comfortable, heard, and excited to take part in the adventure. 🗡️ A Classic Call to Adventure Step into one of Dungeons & Dragons' most beloved adventures and discover why Phandalin has become such an iconic destination. What begins as a simple escort mission quickly unfolds into a tale of forgotten legends, ambitious villains, hidden treasures, and ancient mysteries. Along the way, you'll meet memorable allies and dangerous foes while exploring a vibrant corner of the Forgotten Realms filled with history, intrigue, and opportunity. ⛰️ Exploration and Discovery Adventure lies beyond every winding trail and weathered doorway. Venture into forgotten temples, abandoned mines, ruined fortresses, and long-lost dungeons, each hiding secrets waiting to be uncovered. Exploration rewards curiosity, careful planning, and clever thinking, offering magical relics, hidden lore, and unexpected encounters for those willing to stray from the beaten path. 🔍 Mystery and Investigation Not every challenge can be solved with a sword. The people of Phandalin each have stories to tell, motives to hide, and secrets worth uncovering. Observant players who ask questions, connect clues, and investigate the world around them will often discover new opportunities, hidden dangers, and alternative solutions that might otherwise remain unseen. 🎭 Roleplay at Heart This is a character-driven game where your choices matter just as much as your abilities. Meaningful conversations, difficult decisions, and memorable relationships are at the heart of the experience. I encourage players to embrace their characters' personalities, ideals, flaws, and goals, creating moments that feel genuine and rewarding. Those who actively engage with the world and bring their characters to life will find the story responding in kind. ⚔️ Meaningful Combat Every battle serves a purpose within the narrative. Some encounters test your tactical skill, others challenge your resource management, and a few may force difficult moral decisions. Victory isn't always guaranteed, and rushing headlong into danger can carry lasting consequences. Teamwork, creativity, and strategy are often just as valuable as a powerful weapon or spell. 🗺️ Cinematic Presentation The world comes alive through immersive presentation. Official module maps enhanced in Foundry VTT, carefully selected music, atmospheric sound effects, dynamic lighting, and vivid narration work together to create memorable scenes. Whether you're descending into forgotten ruins, standing before a looming fortress, or sharing a quiet conversation in a bustling tavern, every moment is presented with the goal of making you feel like you're living inside the story. 📜 Campaign Listing: If you'd like to read the full campaign details, character creation guidelines, house rules, and reserve your seat, you can find everything here: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmrdy1gb300gok204lq1k7t7h?ref=cmjkeghcz002oif042ddtkai4 Any questions or interested in joining? Welcome to the lands of terror, traveler. Welcome, to place of shadows and pain. Welcome, to Barovia. This is the place under consistent terror of it's once hero, now — executioner of his own lands and people. In this short adventure we're gonna investigate mystery around unknown house in Daggergort, where starts our adventure. Prepare yourself to heavy rollplay campaingh with great foes and hope within the Mist. Gonna be happy to see you! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- I’m a game master with several years of experience. I have about half a dozen campaigns that are either finished or currently in progress. I’ve taken on roles ranging from the majestic tyrant Strad von Zarovich to the noble and cold-blooded Camarilla bloodline member to the ruthless cutthroat of the streets of Duskvol, while at the same time standing by your side as Irina Kolianovna, your gray, or your sniper ally in the House of Raven’s Cross. I have many faces, many names, as you may have realized, but the essence is the same — I adore each of my roles just as much as I adore each of yours. It is in the game, in the combination of my play and yours, that true Greatness will emerge. And believe me, it awaits us. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now, let me tell about me a few words, dear traveler. As I have just said, I've GM-ing for a few years. Six, to be clear. In my games you can expect a lot of roleplaying, deep lore(Espetially in Curse of Strahd and Old Barovia), breathtaking plot twists and great strory, that we're gonna make together. You can easily count on me in mechanical aspect of game. Be shure, that our VTT gonna be quite automated and I'll give as much immersion, as I possibly can. Platform: Discord+Foundry VTT Price: 20$ Questions? Feel free to send me a DM. I'm always happy to chat about the campaigns, answer questions. If you're looking for a reliable group and a long-term campaign I'd love to hear from you!

Delta Green: Reverberations

Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
I’m looking for 2 more players for Reverberations, a Delta Green scenario set in modern-day Chicago: "A Nineties rave drug called Reverb is back on the streets, stronger than ever - and now users and dealers are disappearing." Game details System: Delta Green Scenario: Reverberations Date: Saturday, 8 August 2026 Time: 13:00 EEST / 12:00 CEST / 11:00 BST Format: Online (Discord) Length: The scenario may take 1-2 sessions. If necessary, an additional session will be held at the same time on Sunday. What to expect My games tend to be discussion-heavy. Players spend time comparing theories, examining evidence, deciding what different clues might mean, and discussing what they want to investigate next. I use lots of images, clues, handouts, and in-world documents to make the investigation feel tangible. I try to reward curiosity and creativity: noticing details, following leads, asking questions, and making use of the locations and NPCs. My goal is to make the game as immersive as possible. This is an investigative horror game rather than a combat-focused one, although combat is always an option. The point is not necessarily to discover the "correct" answer, but you should enjoy engaging with the mystery and making decisions as a group. I strongly prefer players who have not previously played or read Reverberations, so that everyone can experience the investigation and its surprises naturally. That said, new and experienced players alike are very welcome, and you do not need to know the Delta Green system at all before playing. Platform and registration This will be an online voice game. Accepted players will receive the voice-chat information, character materials, and other game documents before the session. You can read the event details and request a place through my Delta Green calendar: https://luma.com/deltagreen

(Warning this is a dnd like not dnd) you live in a small town in the country-side. You get "recruited" to a private school you never heard of, your parents agree to send you there sense it's free because of a "scholarship" you definitely deserve. The day before your first day at that school you start seeing a dark figure. Yes this is a spirit summoning game where you battle with different spirits coming from different places. (inspired by persona and Shamman king) Your Character gets a partner Spirit that can be of 3 main spirit types: Shines: spirits made by postive emotions. maybe your character really likes jokes so their spirit is a clown. Shades: spirits made by negative emotions. maybe your character really hates being social so their spirit is scary to scare off others. Object Spirits: spirits made by strong emotions towards objects. Maybe your character really likes a spinning top so their spirit is a spinning top. other Spirit types: Bound Spirits: spirits made by a living things dying but being bound by something such as a goal or a resposability. Mythical Spirits: Spirits made by legends or myths because humans believe they'll real. Game Themes: low fanasty, modern, school live, horror this campaign is still being made and wouldn't be ready for a few months.

Rolicrite "Realms of Chaos"

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
I run a homebrew game set in Exandria. We use Roll20 and Discord (Physical dice encouraged). Will often allow ROC over RAW. SUNDAYS: 11:30AM EST (3-4 player spots available) Continent: Rolicrite (Rohl-uh-kreet)-((Roll A Crit haha)) An ever shifting island continent, of the Shattered Teeth. In the wake of the Gods' fall a century ago, the ancient wards that once concealed the island kingdom of Rolicrite shattered, revealing its shores to the world. For centuries, Rolicrite thrived in isolation, a bastion of untold magic safeguarded by enchantments as old as time. When the barriers between planes were torn asunder and the gods were stripped of their divine might, the island of Rolicrite became a crucible of arcane backlash. Nature itself rebelled. The skies ruptured with fury, birthing an unrelenting tempest that raged for 100 days and 100 nights. Though the initial Hundred Storms faded, the magic of Rolicrite was changed forever. Even now, years later arcane maelstrom storms, remnants of that cataclysmic event return without warning. Towering cyclones of arcane chaos twist across the island, sometimes touching down with devastating effect. Their presence is marked by violent weather, mutating energy fields, and magical surges that cause spells to backfire, mutate, or even rewrite the laws of physics briefly. But the true terror begins once the storm has passed. When the Maelstrom lifts, it leaves behind a dead zone. A scar across the land where the Weave is utterly severed. In these Nullfields, magic simply ceases to exist. Spells fail, enchanted items lie dormant, and even divine miracles fall silent. These zones can last anywhere from a single day to a month, and their shape and size are unpredictable. Creatures caught within a Nullfield at the moment of its creation often find their magical essence drained permanently. Familiars vanish, warlocks lose their patrons’ whispers, and magical creatures may become mundane or even die outright.... Your adventure..... To All Concerned Citizens of Eastgaurd and the surrounding Keeps, It is with great urgency that we inform you of the recent prison break at Shadowspire Penitentiary. The most dangerous criminals, once contained within its walls, now roam free. We implore all residents to remain vigilant, stay indoors after sundown, and report any suspicious activities immediately. The escaped prisoners are armed and highly dangerous. If you encounter any of them, do not engage directly. Instead, alert the nearest guard post or town authority. Your safety is our utmost concern. May the gods watch over us all in these trying times. Sincerely, Eastgaurd Council of Safety TOWN CRIERS WORDS EXTRA! EXTRA! HEED THESE WORDS, CITIZENS!" "Shadowspire Penitentiary — breached! Its black walls shattered in flame and chaos! Dangerous criminals now stalk the roads and rivers! Stay indoors! Lock your doors! Hold your loved ones close!" "Among the escaped: none other than exiled noble Jareth Blackwood, former prison warden turned traitor!" "All able-bodied citizens and bounty hunters are urged to report any sightings to the Warden’s Keep immediately!" The party has spent weeks pursuing Jareth "Shadowblade" Blackwood, the one responsible for the prison break and the current leader of The Cult of the Whispering Veil. Their investigations have carried them across dangerous roads deep into a swamp in search of an ancient temple lost to history. Through recovered journals, interrogations, and hard-earned clues, the party has learned that Jareth intends to perform a powerful ritual during the upcoming Summer Solstice. The ritual's true purpose remains unknown. Jareth has spread his influence and scars wherever he travels. Those he considers useful, capable, or simply unfortunate enough to cross his path are taken. Some willingly, most by force. Once captured, they are fitted with enchanted masks imbued with ancient shadow magic, robbing them of their free will and binding them to the Whispering Veil's cause. What awaits at the temple is still a mystery. Some within the party believe Jareth seeks to summon an ancient entity imprisoned long ago beneath the ruins. Others suspect he plans to sacrifice his followers to ascend beyond mortality himself. Whatever the truth, one thing is clear: The Summer Solstice is fast approaching, and if Jareth is not stopped before the ritual reaches its climax, the consequences may extend far beyond the borders of the swamp.

Rock and stone eh? Pick up your ax and hammer we are going Dungeon delving. The forgotten halls call to us and the lost riches even call is louder! The ancient and forgotten halls of Ku'h Buldar lay dormant for years. It's halls echo of its glory days gone past, remembered only in myth and legend. Until one faithful day a Dwarven prospector stumbled upon the ruined gate of the lost civilization. After that the rest followed, the prospectors, adventurers, settlers and thus the community grew. Guilds were created. Daily ventures became a norm. Gold, riches and some artefacts were retrieved but there were more to be found. You, a young strapping dwarf eager for glory sign up in a guild. Get assigned to a group and begin your fist decent. This game is for the dwarf enthusiast and short king lovers(but not excluding the rest). The setting is going to be a little gritty but still lighthearted at times. Will be using some homebrew rules for items, classes and species. The main species will of course be The dwarf. Gnomes are also allowed. NO TALL FOLK HERE!!!(ofc some exceptions are allowed) The structure of the game will be a kin to a rougelike dungeon delving.  As the great halls are separated in many layers. Each so called run will have a different outcome as slowly the secrets and treasures will be unveiled.  Will be discussing much more details on session zero character creation, the vibes of the setting and much more. Session 0 is free.

LGBTQ+ friendly
The table is openly welcoming to LGBTQ+ players.
Looking for a Curse of Strahd game with a DM who leans heavily into atmosphere, roleplay, and immersion? I’m currently recruiting for multiple weekly Curse of Strahd campaigns and would love to bring some new adventurers into Barovia. I’ve been running D&D 5e online since 2017 and have several years of experience running games through Roll20 specifically. I have Roll20 Pro and make full use of the tools available to create a smoother and more immersive experience for players, including dynamic lighting, API mods, animated maps/effects where appropriate, and organized handouts/journals. I also put a lot of emphasis on presentation and mood. Expect ambient music, combat tracks, creepy soundscapes, and distinct NPC voices to help Barovia feel alive. Curse of Strahd works best when the atmosphere really lands, and I do my best to make every session feel tense, memorable, and cinematic. I'll share my compendium with players, so you’ll have access to official Player’s Handbook classes, subclasses, spells, and features directly through Roll20 for easier character creation and leveling. Whether you’re a veteran player looking for a strong gothic horror campaign or someone newer wanting to experience one of 5e’s most iconic adventures, you’re welcome at the table. Platform: Roll20 Voice: Discord System: D&D 5e Price: $10/session (Session Zero is free) Weekly Game Schedule (EST): Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday — 4:00 PM EST

The Yindran Academy

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
I'm looking for players 25+, who can attend the game at 6PM CEST Saturdays weekly, can communicate and are mature enough to play in a darker game. I shall respond withn 10 days of today (before 23.09) You have been chosen to attend a prestigious monster hunter academy in the Misty Plains. In this campaign you will battle across different test and tournaments, manage the socio-political environment of the academy, as well as do your best to achieve academic success. This game will host 3-5 players starting level one. We will be using a lot of homebrew rules as well as DnD 5e 2014 community update called 5.19 edition, which brings a lot of refreshment to normal 5e mechanics, while including a lot of new options. House Rules: Setting: A Belle Époque-inspired world recovering from ages of destruction and suffering. Gods have mostly abandoned the world, magic is scarce, and ancient artifacts are highly sought after. The Land of Sain is harsh but hopeful, with people banding together against ancient threats. Expect occasional futuristic or silly elements alongside the darker themes. Levels & Multiclassing: Characters can freely advance to level 8. Further advancement requires rituals or other means of overcoming their mortal limits. Normal multiclassing is impossible because conflicting energies would drive the character insane. Certain rituals can allow class levels to be exchanged for another class at a cost. Ability Scores: At character creation, roll 3d6 for each ability until the total is at least 60. ASIs are replaced by feats. Characters can also gain +1 to any ability score when they accomplish notable goals or feats, at the GM's discretion. Legendary Creatures: Legendary Resistances and Actions are replaced by Legendary Break Points. These regenerate each round and can be spent on defensive abilities, counterspell, dispel magic, removing conditions, legendary actions, or a powerful Break Ability. Legendary creatures use fixed initiative and have two designated windows for legendary abilities, making their threats more predictable. Spellbook Machinations: Some spells belong to restricted groups and require an appropriate reason for a character to learn them. Certain spells can also corrupt their users, potentially changing alignment or severing divine connections. Dynamic Attunement: Attunement slots equal your proficiency bonus. Uncommon items use 1 slot, while rare and very rare items use 2, with higher tiers costing more. Items belonging to a set or that specifically choose their wielder do not consume attunement slots. Mortum

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
The Pitch When you were young you grew up with stories of the gods moon, sun and star. They were there for you, took care of you, and inspired you. The Sun, bright and ever-present, would light the path and grow the world. The Star would guide the people and inspire those who looked to her for such. The moon was stalwart in his defence of the mortals below him, willing to be the villain in the dark if that meant that his mortals would be safe.  The three Gods often competed in followers and worshipers, all in good fun. Seeing mortals as their children, each striving to be their favorite parent in a way. The yearly festivals are all based on this friendly competition, but those who are very devoted followers claim that this balance between the three keeps the world in tune.  This was life for the people of Polarius.  Until two years ago when a new king was crowned. King Tonto worshiped a god known only as Mukoro, said to be a previously unknown God of prosperity and ease. Mukoro skyrocketed in popularity over the last two years and people have noticed changes in the world linked to the domains of the Three. Mukoro reassures its followers that it controls those domains now, but some of the population are uneasy. This tension cannot last forever.  Players are encouraged to build characters with thoughtful interactions with the gods, approach the world with curiosity vs coldness, and remember that sometimes your adversaries are not always evil.  Tone & Feel Mysterious, Uncanny, Whimsy, Fear, Cosmic, Victorian   Themes Cosmic Romance, Toxic love, Overconsumption, overreliance, necessary evil, the horror of irrelevance  Touchstones Local 58, Gemini Home Entertainment, King in Yellow, House of Leaves, Vita Carnes, Twilight Zone, Miss Peregrine's home for Peculiar Children Content warnings  Gaslighting, Abusive relationships, political differences, truths being shattered general violence

The Haunting of Castle Gyllencreutz

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
System: Vaesen Platform: Foundry VTT + Discord (voice) Time: BST. Wednesday 19:00. "In dark forests, beyond the mountains, by black lakes in hidden groves. At your doorstep. In the shadows, something stirs. Strange beings. Twisted creatures, lurking at the edge of vision. Watching. Waiting. Unseen by most, but not by you. You see them for what they really are. Vaesen." Vaesen presents a 19th century dark Gothic setting steeped in Nordic folklore and the old myths of Scandinavia. The game mechanics utilise an adapted version of the awardwinning Year Zero Engine and the best thing to liken it to is Call of Cthulhu but with a folkloric twist. Hello! My name is Mshary and I am looking to run a one-shot of this system in order to see whether this is a system I and my players from a different campaign want to continue with. I'm looking for up to 3 players and this is open to everyone! New players are especially welcome since I am new to the system myself and so may stumble a touch at first.  I am planning on running the starter adventure from the book "The Haunting of Castle Gyllencreutz" and that comes with a couple of pregens can choose from unless they wish to make their own characters. This acts as something akin to a prologue for joining the "Society" so it'll give us a taste of what's to come. What you can expect What you can expect from me is an experienced GM who has run a several long-term campaigns and many more oneshots and shorter games. The one line that best describes me as a GM is that I’m relaxed, friendly, and here to make sure everyone has a great time. My games are all about good vibes, fun, and group chemistry. I have a bit of an “older brother” style. Guiding things, hyping players up, and making sure everyone feels comfortable jumping in and having their moment. No one gets left on the sidelines. I am consistent and punctual. If for whatever reason something comes up and a game must be postponed, I will let you all know far in advance and try my best to accommodate an alternative game time. Final Words Thank you for taking the time to read all of that, if you are interested please fill in the following super short form: https://forms.gle/yWqWogMZvdD2A85P9

Hunter: The Interning

Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Monster-X To most of the world this strange company is known for peddling its so called 'advanced technology' to governments, arms dealers, and medical providers. It is also a multination corporation devoted to studying and dealing with the occult, from which it gains its technology. Due to the clandestine nature of the supernatural, most people who interact with them, and even their customer facing staff think it is just some strange lifestyle brand, and that most of its products are little more that snake oil for the superstitious. However this is far from the truth, for monster are real, and a threat. Monster-X is a company dead set on making as much profit off of them as possible, sending their techs, often times poorly trained or even unaware of the true nature of what they are facing, to secure samples of whatever they can, and then the scientists attempt to reverse engineer them into products, such as an anti-aging cream made from vampires, or a steroid derived from the adrenal glands of a raging garou. You are recently 'hired' interns. Maybe you were ex-military or law enforcement and had one too many encounters with the supernatural. Maybe you're a crackpot conspiracy theorist, or perhaps a college student desperate for credits. Regardless your old life is over, and you awoke some time previously in an underground barracks in Monster-X's Research lab in Togo, where you were given some modicum of training to prepare. But now is your first day. Welcome aboard. This is a modern 5e (2014) D&D game set in the world of darkness and heavily flavored by Hunter: The reckoning. In it you play as newly minted techs for the international corporation Monster-X, widely considered by the monster hunting world the 'pizza delivery' of monster hunters. You are given experimental technology and sent off to scrap whatever profit you can from things beyond mortal knowledge, fighting against the things that go bump in the night. Naturally, since world of darkness is earth, the base race for everyone is human. However, you can 'volunteer' (its not your character's choice, you as the player choose) to receive gene therapy to alter your genetic code (effectively, the other races) and change your abilities and appearance. You may also elect (again player choice, not character) to receive even FURTHER augmentation (grim hallow transformations, but only werewolf, vampire, or eldritch abomination), but at that point you are considered the property of the company, a bomb in planted in your brain, and you aren't really considered a 'person' anymore. A note all classes have proficiency with firearms, however unless you have 'martial weapon proficiency' or play an artificer, you can only use pistols.

An unwitting Paladin has released an ancient Lich. Jailed for ages, it is now back and undead assault the living with renewed vigour. Can you stop it?* *Welcome to the Somnium Shard. A sundered paradise; knowledge, gods and power's all known throughout the land, its history coveted by lost tomes, cosmic knowledge and crazed minds. With earliest carvings detailing a different world that may have been the Shard's muse, the inspiration for reality. However not all could be replaced, and the world's panorama was in its own natural discourse, with the residents at home.* Hello and this is the introduction to my most recent open game for my homebrew world, The Somnium Shard. The game is a special edition of my normal open sandbox style that focuses instead on the undead and release of a lich. The theme of this game in particular is that of dealing with undeath and all of the horror and creatures that come with it. There is still a lot of room for your backstory, side missions and all manner of varying fun however the over-arching narrative is tied to this. As a sandbox, you are welcome to tackle this threat however you see fit of course as the world is open to you however with this pre-established major threat. The game is beginner friendly and we are happy to help you get into the game and learn it, For all the other details: * We play on Roll20 and Discord * Schedule: Weekly from 11pm UTC Sunday for 3-4 hours every session * Cost: 18$ per sessions * Starting level from 1-3 discussed with the full party of 5 once we start, we are waiting for a full group to hopefully see the game through with for as long as possible. * 18+ As this game will involve alot of horror, undeath, afflictions and curses. I am however open to a discussion about a specific topic that you'd rather avoid, we can go over it. * Game Link: [https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmstlszzy000pjo04rf1vxnkm](https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmstlszzy000pjo04rf1vxnkm) * Discord: Proxy4D So with all that out the way please do shoot me a question if you have any, I'd be happy to answer and I hope youre having a great night aside from that. I do also have some alternative game times so have a look at my profile if you want a different slot that youre interested in.

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
I'm working on setting up a free Candela Obscura campaign sometime soonish, still writing everything up and working out the details. It would probably be Friday nights, 8pm-12am EST. ⚠️ Warning: I'm horrible at character voices and not the greatest narrator due to my anxiety but I love writing stories that people can play and build upon. Still considered a newbie DM and have never ran this specific module(?) So we'll be learning some things as we go, together. Great for beginners!  https://discord.gg/xNNrt8Pa  Will be adding more about the game in the link above. A good friend and awesome DM is letting me hijack a small space on his server.  Check it out even if you aren't interested in my game. He'll be adding more fun content and he currently runs some great campaigns, they aren't free but totally worth it 😁  If you have any questions for him, his name is Lawbind. Any questions for me, my discord name is Liramear (Courtney). Hope you all enjoy your day 😊

ABOUT: Around 50 years ago, monsters emerged from deep within the earth and ravaged all of the world. One day, in the middle of a calamity, a group of young adults discover that they have been gifted with otherworldly powers. The world now waits and watches to see what they will do with their gifts. Will they find a way to eradicate the monsters that stalk humanity? Only time will tell. Game Time September 12th (Or at least around then, possibly earlier) Time can be heavily adjusted, but 2PM CST would be preferred What style of game does the group play? I plan on running Curse of Strahd 5e. I have been DMing as my groups forever DM for the last 4 months, and I'd like to run Strahd. It is a Gothic Horror campaign, and is months long, so be prepared for that commitment please! How does your group play? Discord Voice (In Campaign Server) using modded Owlbear VVT (Includes dynamic lighting, scenes, ect) as well as tokens. Strahd is very exploration and roleplay-based, though it is not without combat. I'd say a 30 (Exploration) 50 (Roleplay) 20 (Combat) for the campaign. Number of available spaces. 3-4 Additional Information (Optional) Still a fairly new DM so be patient! I heavily focus on player choice/narrative; if you have a loose end in your backstory, I'll try to see if I can tie it. I also have a personal set of rules and I would like a group that can show up on time weekly. Please do not waste my time, as I am currently getting an education and I can't easily spare it. I'll likely choose the best candidates from this post and play through a pre-written One-shot so I can get a sense of everyone's playstyle. I also ask that you value the story and fun of the game over the mechanics and power playing, as I have dealt with that previously and it is not fun. Newer players are welcome, though I do ask that you have at least 5 DND sessions under your belt. Please fill out the application!

Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
Adult
The table is for players who are 18 or over.
Levels 1–3 | Play-by-Post | 2 Sessions | Gothic Horror | D&D 5.5e The mist rolled in without warning. A manor appeared through the fog — warm light in the windows, smoke from the chimney. It looked like shelter. It looked like safety. It was neither. Count's Manor is the dark, atmospheric introduction to Legends of Barovia — an expanded and enriched version of the legendary Curse of Strahd campaign. In two sessions, you will explore a haunted estate layered with tragedy, uncover the horror lurking inside, and face your first foe. Characters begin at level 1 and will reach level 3 by the end — if they survive. This game is for you if: -You love gothic horror, dark atmosphere, and roleplay-heavy storytelling -You are new to Curse of Strahd or want a fresh entry point -You enjoy collaborative, slow-burn horror -You want to try a game before committing to a full campaign This game is NOT for you if: -You want fast combat and easy victories -Horror, death, and mature themes make you uncomfortable

Horror
The game leans into fear, tension and dark themes.
The Adventure: Welcome to Druskenvald, a realm choked by eternal autumn and ruled by forgotten superstitions. The harvest is failing, the woods are hungry, and villagers are whispering to things that hide in the pumpkin patches. You are outsiders drawn into a twisted folklore nightmare. To survive, you must navigate a land where fairy tales are lethal, hags strike bargains for memories, and the very shadows want to devour you. The Pitch: The Crooked Moon is a campaign built around sinister witchcraft, ancient curses, and deep psychological horror. If you want a campaign that feels like The Witch or Sleepy Hollow, where the environment itself is your enemy, look no further. The Adventure: Something foul is sweeping across the land, leaving a trail of absolute depravity and terror in its wake. In this campaign, your team of investigators, mercenaries, and survivalists will travel town by town, stepping into completely unique, localized horror scenarios. One week you might be solving a grotesque local curse, and the next you'll be fighting to survive a localized slasher nightmare. Every town has a dark secret, an active threat, and a completely unique flavor of horror to unravel. Can you solve the mysteries and cleanse the region, or will the Midnight Realm swallow you whole? The Pitch: Built from the twisted scenarios of Libris Nocturnum, this is a gritty, episodic grimdark campaign. Expect heavy investigation, thick atmosphere, and unforgiving horror where your wits are just as important as your weapon. The Rule of Cool is always active—bring your best roleplay and sharpest tactics to survive the road. https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmr5toq5n00n9js04nt2lzrj9?ref=cmpe26gha0035ji04azjpab18
