Description

Hello ! I'm 27M (He/Him) from the UK and I'm relatively new to TTRPGs and looking to start a group as I've long since wanted to engage more in this hobby. I've played several one shots over the years but my friends have never had much follow through with TTRPGs to make it a consistent part of the week as I'd like to try to (Or at the least, just more frequently than one one shot a year lol) I'd like to open this up to GMs and players. the idea would be one shots played in around 3-4 hours or a couple sessions per story to try to overcome scheduling troubles. Also with a pool of people big enough, hopefully games should occur quite frequently between different or overlapping groups ! The systems would be whatever took anyones fancy. I Have a couple ideas in mind for the systems: Into the Odd, Mausritter, Wanderhome, Mörk Borg. But also interested in GURPS, The Yellow King, Totem, Run From the Dark, Fiasco, Ten Candles, Call of Cthulhu and The Quiet Year for example. (this list is somewhat for SEO lol) But I'd also be open to others, this is simply a list of ones I'm aware of ! So if you're a GM with a story to tell in a system that could work as a One Shot please make yourself known also ! Campaigns could also be on the table but I thought One Shots make for an easier pick up and put down vibe. My personal ideas for campaigns would be One Shots that build to a greater narrative in a given world but we can discuss more of that later ! If you'd happen to be interested please comment or DM me and I can send you a link to a discord server I set up and maybe we can get the ball rolling ! I look forward and hope to hear from you

Dungeons in the Mist

Looking to start up a "monthly" game of D&D 5e 2014, Legend in the Mist, City of Mist, Savage Worlds, Genesys, or another system in some genre we agree on or any other system that might be fun to try. Getting my current group is like herding cats so I play far too infrequently so I'd like a bit more consistency. I'm interested in running a Call of Cthulhu style game using the City of Mist rulebook. I want a relaxed beer and pretzels game primarily centered around narrative game play peppered with cinematic action. Preferable game times are Saturdays from noon until quitting time, or Sunday noon until 6ish. Location might by in a garage, or a local game store that's open until 10pm.

Curse of Therin A beginner-friendly gothic horror campaign inspired by Curse of Strahd. This adventure features its own lore, locations, allies, and enemies, along with new homebrew items. You’ll find yourself in situations where there are no simple “good” or “bad” choices only survival. It begins with a straightforward job: an innkeeper offers your party 200 gold to lay poisoned meat in the woods. But as night falls, wolf howls echo through the trees and the shadows begin to move… The land itself reaches out. The ground shifts beneath your feet as a cold, unnatural fog filled with the Schedule: Every Friday at 12:00 PM UK time Players: 3 seats available Price: £16 per session Rules: Mix of 2014 and 2024 D&D 5e (fully compatible — best of both worlds)

Playtest
The game is still being tested, and your feedback is part of the point.
Gundam Missions is a cooperative tactical tabletop RPG for up to 5 players plus a Game Master (GM). It combines elements of tabletop RPGs, miniature wargames and tactical board games, with the focus placed on teamwork, objective-based missions and Mobile Suit combat rather than simply destroying every enemy on the battlefield. Each player takes the role of a pilot and controls their own Mobile Suit throughout the campaign. The GM runs the enemy forces, mission events, objectives and the wider campaign narrative. As the campaign progresses, players earn rewards, develop their pilots, customise their mission loadouts and gain access to new equipment and tactical options. Missions include scenarios such as Destroy, Escort, Sabotage, Capture and Rescue, alongside larger boss-style encounters. These are connected by light storytelling and an ongoing campaign narrative, eventually building towards a final confrontation with the campaign's recurring enemy commander — essentially the campaign's "Big Bad." The game is intentionally more of a tactical RPG than a traditional roleplay-heavy RPG. You won't need to spend hours acting in character or memorising Gundam lore. Most of your time will be spent making battlefield decisions with the rest of the party: choosing routes, managing resources, protecting allies, completing objectives and deciding when to fight, advance or fall back. Missions take place on a 48" × 72" battlefield using 2D terrain, objective markers and game tokens. Movement and weapon ranges are measured in inches, while combat uses dice rolls for attacks, defence and other effects. Mobile Suits have different movement, weapons, armour, equipment and battlefield roles, giving each player their own strengths while encouraging the group to work together as a proper squad. A major part of Gundam Missions is the use of physical 1/144 scale Gunpla models. Each player needs a 1/144 Mobile Suit model to represent their unit on the battlefield. You do not need to already own a Gunpla to play, as a suitable model can be provided. However, building and bringing your own kit is highly encouraged. Choosing, assembling and customising your own Mobile Suit is part of the RPG experience, and the idea is that you gradually develop a connection with the machine you take through the campaign. All other game materials — battlefield, terrain, tokens, objective pieces and supporting components — are provided. You also do not need to be a Gundam expert. Gundam fans will obviously recognise plenty of the machines and references, but previous knowledge of the anime or wider Universal Century timelines isn't required. If you enjoy tabletop RPGs, miniature wargames, tactical board games, Gunpla, or cooperative games and fancy trying something different, you should be able to pick the system up fairly quickly. The rules are designed to be approachable for new players while still offering enough tactical depth for experienced tabletop players. Individual missions are expected to last approximately 1–2 hours, with the first campaign currently planned to begin this autumn and sessions expected to run roughly every other week. Gundam Missions is a free-to-play, independent, fan-developed project and is still actively being playtested and refined. Rules, balance, missions and other systems may therefore change as development continues. While the project is in a playable state, players joining the first campaign won't just be playing the game — their feedback and experiences will also help shape and improve it as the project develops. If this idea excites you, you live locally and you're interested in joining the group, feel free to reach out!
