Description

Gundam Missions is a cooperative tactical tabletop RPG for up to 5 players plus a Game Master (GM). It combines elements of tabletop RPGs, miniature wargames and tactical board games, with the focus placed on teamwork, objective-based missions and Mobile Suit combat rather than simply destroying every enemy on the battlefield. Each player takes the role of a pilot and controls their own Mobile Suit throughout the campaign. The GM runs the enemy forces, mission events, objectives and the wider campaign narrative. As the campaign progresses, players earn rewards, develop their pilots, customise their mission loadouts and gain access to new equipment and tactical options. Missions include scenarios such as Destroy, Escort, Sabotage, Capture and Rescue, alongside larger boss-style encounters. These are connected by light storytelling and an ongoing campaign narrative, eventually building towards a final confrontation with the campaign's recurring enemy commander — essentially the campaign's "Big Bad." The game is intentionally more of a tactical RPG than a traditional roleplay-heavy RPG. You won't need to spend hours acting in character or memorising Gundam lore. Most of your time will be spent making battlefield decisions with the rest of the party: choosing routes, managing resources, protecting allies, completing objectives and deciding when to fight, advance or fall back. Missions take place on a 48" × 72" battlefield using 2D terrain, objective markers and game tokens. Movement and weapon ranges are measured in inches, while combat uses dice rolls for attacks, defence and other effects. Mobile Suits have different movement, weapons, armour, equipment and battlefield roles, giving each player their own strengths while encouraging the group to work together as a proper squad. A major part of Gundam Missions is the use of physical 1/144 scale Gunpla models. Each player needs a 1/144 Mobile Suit model to represent their unit on the battlefield. You do not need to already own a Gunpla to play, as a suitable model can be provided. However, building and bringing your own kit is highly encouraged. Choosing, assembling and customising your own Mobile Suit is part of the RPG experience, and the idea is that you gradually develop a connection with the machine you take through the campaign. All other game materials — battlefield, terrain, tokens, objective pieces and supporting components — are provided. You also do not need to be a Gundam expert. Gundam fans will obviously recognise plenty of the machines and references, but previous knowledge of the anime or wider Universal Century timelines isn't required. If you enjoy tabletop RPGs, miniature wargames, tactical board games, Gunpla, or cooperative games and fancy trying something different, you should be able to pick the system up fairly quickly. The rules are designed to be approachable for new players while still offering enough tactical depth for experienced tabletop players. Individual missions are expected to last approximately 1–2 hours, with the first campaign currently planned to begin this autumn and sessions expected to run roughly every other week. Gundam Missions is a free-to-play, independent, fan-developed project and is still actively being playtested and refined. Rules, balance, missions and other systems may therefore change as development continues. While the project is in a playable state, players joining the first campaign won't just be playing the game — their feedback and experiences will also help shape and improve it as the project develops. If this idea excites you, you live locally and you're interested in joining the group, feel free to reach out!

Throne of Solaris

Homebrew
House rules, a custom setting, or a system the Game Master wrote themselves.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
The Throne of Solaris The golden spires of Hellios still catch the morning light, just as they have for a thousand years. The Sun Banner still flies above the Imperial Palace. The hymns of the Church of the Sun still rise from a hundred temples. Outwardly, the heart of the Solarian Empire beats as it always has. But the Sun-Blood no longer sits the throne. Emperor Aurelius, last living descendant of the Sun God in the direct line, lies silent in the Solar Chamber. Physicians, priests, and arcanists have come and gone. None can wake him. None can even name the strange lethargy that holds him. Until he recovers—or until the bloodline is secured—the empire cannot rule itself. The Imperial Council has therefore invoked the ancient right of Regency. Five names now stand before the empty throne, each backed by power, gold, steel, or faith: Edward, Duke of Gryphon — Master of the Merchants’ Guild and Head of the Librarium. Leontis, Viscount of Neolum — Son of the Archon and Grand Crusader of the Church of the Sun. Septimus, Prince of the Capital District — Captain of the Royal Guard. Stephan, Archduke of Ironheim — Master of the Forges and champion of the common folk. Zadakiel, Marquess of Fellgahv — Head Justiciary and Grand Master of the Order of the Black Wing Knights. Each claims the right to speak for the sleeping Emperor. Each has allies who would see their candidate elevated—and rivals who would see them fall. The court is a web of whispered deals, old grudges, and carefully measured smiles. Blood has not yet been spilled in the marble halls… but the air is thick with the promise of it. You are not the great lords. You are the ones who move between them: investigators, diplomats, agents, and observers with the skill—and the opportunity—to learn what others will not say aloud. The Council will not appoint a Regent in ignorance. Someone must cut through the intrigue, expose the truth behind each claim, and guide the choice toward stability rather than civil war. The sun still rises over Hellios. How long it continues to shine may depend on what you uncover in the shadows of its court.

Story Driven Cyberpunk Red/Homebrew Campaign

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Roleplay focused
Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
Hello!      (QUITE A WORDY DESCRIPTION BUT TOTALLY WORTH READING) I ran a 6 month DnD Campaign earlier this year and had such a good time with it that we're looking to do it all again in the near future, this time in a Cyberpunk/Dystopian setting :) Our last campaign was extremely narrative heavy and I imagine we will lean into that just as hard this next time. I am pretty relaxed about the rules and happy to bend things if it makes for a better moment. The main goal is to have a great time and create something that feels a bit more like a story experience than just a TTRPG. 5 players worked great last time and with 3 of the original group returning we’re looking for 2 or maybe 3 more at most. It’ll be another 6-month campaign, playing weekly on either Saturday or Sunday. Obviously, the occasional planned absence or emergency is completely fine, but everyone should realistically be able to make almost every session. I tend to tie the story quite closely to individual characters, so having people consistently there makes a big difference. I also like putting a bit of effort into the atmosphere (lighting, music, sound effects, set pieces, maps, etc). The last campaign even ended up involving a weekend away for an important part of the story and if all goes well we will totally do something like that again. Campaigns require a real commitment not only to the DM but also to the other players. I can safely say that despite none of us knowing each other before the 1st campaign we are all really good friends now and we hope to make more in the form of a couple new faces for this one! If you're interested, have questions, or just want to know a bit more about what we're planning, feel free to message me. Thanks for reading!
