GridArchitect

Overview

Gridarchitect is a free tool for GMs that run their session in-person and wanting to use various tile systems for terrain. It helps to either freely create or recreate maps with floor tiles and wall tiles. You can set limits based on the amount of terrain pieces you have and get a summary of used tiles which can be printed as a cheat sheet with a small assembly graphic. You can also customize the predefined tiles with colors or even upload images as textures. And you can create combination tiles.

Owlbear Rodeo

Virtual tabletop (VTT)
English
Free
Owlbear Rodeo is a "no-frills," browser-based virtual tabletop that prioritizes speed and ease of use above all else. Originally launched in 2020 as a simple image-sharing tool, it evolved into version 2.0, transitioning to a cloud-based subscription model while maintaining its "pick-up-and-play" spirit. It is the premier choice for GMs who prefer theater-of-the-mind play or quick tactical skirmishes without the heavy automation of larger platforms. Description Owlbear Rodeo is the digital equivalent of a dry-erase battle mat. It does not try to be a video game; instead, it provides a shared canvas where you can drop a map, throw down some tokens, and start rolling dice in under a minute. It is famous for requiring no player accounts. The GM simply creates a room and sends a link. While it has added advanced features like dynamic fog and extension support, it remains the most lightweight and mobile-friendly VTT on the market.

Media showcase: Add or swap up to 6 featured YouTube videos or articles embedded on your entry page. How to boost your visibility and climb the Library rankings By default, entries in the Groupfinder Library are sorted by their "Recommended" count. Think of recommendations as community upvotes or endorsements. The more recommendations your project collects from Groupfinder users, the higher your entry appears in the directory listings and category searches. Here is how you can mobilize your community and increase your position: 1. Share your direct Library link Send your community, social followers, and newsletter subscribers directly to your Groupfinder Library page and encourage them to click the "Recommend" button. Anyone with a free Groupfinder account can log in and leave a recommendation. 2. Embed Groupfinder Library badges on your website Show off your listing on your own platform! You can grab our Groupfinder Library badge and display a badge on your website, blog, or documentation. Linking these badges directly to your Groupfinder page makes it effortless for visiting fans to hop over and drop a recommendation vote. 3. Feature your project (optional) If you want guaranteed top-tier placement, we also offer the option to feature your project. Featuring moves your entry directly to the top of the listings, ensuring maximum exposure to tabletop gamers browsing the site. This is a paid option that directly helps us keep the entire Groupfinder platform free and running for the community. Let’s Stay Connected Thank you for contributing to the tabletop gaming ecosystem and helping make the Groupfinder Library a rich resource for GMs, players, and creators worldwide.
