The City never sleeps, and as a Moonlighter, niether will you! MOONLIGHTERS is a high-stakes Dungeons and Dragons campaign set in a fantastical version of the modern day. The players take the role of Moonlighters - part time adventurers who operate after dark. Are you a college dropout Elf? A pixie attorney specialising in Magic Item law? A gnome taxi driver? Whatever your reason, while the city sleeps, you Adventure! Players will form an Adventuring Party, working the Adventuring gig economy in the Big City. They'll choose from available jobs, meet wacky clients, and co-operatively worldbuild and expand on the city with the DM in the process. Will you stage an elaborate heist at the Museum of Villainy? Fix a Wizard Duel for a down-and-out gambler? Explore the forgotten catacombs of the public graveyard? It's up to you! If your single dad Orc is an accountant by day. maybe they'll notice some irregularities in the companies magical accounts. If they're an exhausted sound technician for a bratty DJ, maybe they'll have some connections to the shadier side of the city. During a Session 0, we will all discuss the general tone of the game the players are in the mood for. Player characters could all be friends fresh out of college, living out a coming-of-age Jon Hughes movie (with oozes and werewolves), a group of reluctant oddballs flung together in a workplace comedy, or desperate individuals just trying to make ends meet in a brutal, unforgiving city. The choice will be communal, and can always evolve with the narrative. I will discuss privately what each player wants to see, and what they never want to see in game. I'll make sure everyone is on the same page without drawing attention to any individual player's needs. The games is $20 per session via Startplaying. This is a roleplay heavy campaign with intense combat encounters and plenty of chances for exploration. This is my third time running the campaign and I am excited to see what a new group of adventurers will make of this land.  This is good campaign to start your D&D journey as it starts at low levels and you learn as we play. Hello everyone, Alex here! I am a new GM on Start Playing, and I am looking for players for my mini campaign. I am hoping to become a full-time GM and figured this was the best way to start. A bit about me: I've been a GM for 7 years. I am an artist, illustrator, animator, voice actor, and writer. And I absolutely love roleplaying!  Game Premise: In the world of Anangnibi (pronounced Ah-nahng-nee-bee) there looms a threat to the local towns and villages outside of a major port city called Agonan Mizhakwad (pronounced Ah-goh-nahn Meez-hahk-wahd). Reports of attacks have become more frequent and many have claimed to see a flying creature up within the mountains. Maps indicate that there is an old fort that has been empty for quite some time in the area. The local authorities have put up a reward for heroes to go and investigate the area and find out what has been happening. You as the heroes will find yourselves walking into the mountains to find the old hold, and once you get there, you'll find out that you have gotten far more than you bargained for. Who, or what, awaits within the halls of old abandoned stone? And will you survive the secrets within? Or will you be claimed by death much the same as those of the poor raided villages? Death lurks here, cold and indifferent like the sitting stone. You will need your strength and wit if you want to survive. So be prepared to face the challenges and discover the mystery of what hides within the mountain stone.
