Description

The parchment is pinned to the tavern's bounty board with a rusted dagger. It reads: “WANTED: Brave souls to venture into the unknown. Gold and glory await those with the grit to survive. Meet at the hearth if you dare to test your steel...'" Hi Denver! I’ve been a Highlands (NW Denver) resident for over 20 years and I’m looking to find a few fellow adventurers (parent/kid combos) to join my 12-year-old son and me for a bi-weekly D&D quest. The Quest We will be starting with new Level 1 characters with the intent to take them all the way through advanced levels. We’ll be running Tales from the Yawning Portal: essentially the "Greatest Hits" of D&D history. The Table Rules: Support for Beginners: If you've never played, don’t worry. We just ask that the kids can handle basic math, some writing, and most importantly, take the gameplay seriously.  The "Vibe": Expect classic D&D action: visceral combat (think: "The blade slices through the creature's neck..."), story narrative and a "PG-13" atmosphere. In our household, we allow the occasional "shit," but no F-bombs. Obviously, we will modulate as the new group gels. I'm pretty relaxed about stuff, but do want to set the stage. I’ll be the DM I am an experienced DM, but it’s been 30 years since I've done it and the game has changed, so I’ll be learning a bit. For me, it’s about the fun rather than precision (no rule nazis, please), but I do like to lean on dice so that I’m not a dictator for ever decision. Also, I’m not against killing off characters. (It’s not fun, if there is no risk.) If that happens, you’ll start with a new one. I’m also going to experiment with adding AI and multimedia to the game play. Logistics: Schedule: Thinking alternating Sundays (4–8 PM) or Fridays (5–9 PM). The "Life Happens" Rule: If you can’t make it, someone will pilot your character so the party stays whole. We also may have to reschedule/cancel sometimes due to my work travel schedule. Hosting: I’ll host at my home in the Highlands, but our first meeting when we make characters could be at a public location. I’ll provide a healthy dinner initially (I can handle special diets), then I’ll ask the players to help once we’ve gotten into a routine. If you’re ready to answer the call, we would love to know about you and why you want to play. (And by “we”, I mean my terribly decerning son. I’ll let any dreg in.)

The mists hide a world plundged into darkness for centuries. A dark lord has control of this cursed land. Those who are strong can escape the mists. Hello all, I am Michael.  I am starting a new campaign playing within the world of Ravenloft. This a gothic horror story that is traumatic and a fun time. This is a roleplay heavy campaign with intense combat encounters and plenty of chances for exploration. This is my third time running the campaign and I am excited to see what a new group of adventurers will make of this land.  This is good campaign to start your D&D journey as it starts at low levels and you learn as we play. So if you enjoy a fun and scary time at the virtual table then this is the game for you. Gothic Horror, High Fantasy, and Eldritch Horrors Level 1-10, with possibilities of higher levels depending on the game Go from ragtag adventurers. Unravel villain motivations, fend off living and undead threats that haunt the land, and confront one of the most famous villains. Strahd Von Zarovich. This campaign uses the best of the plot lines of Curse of Strahd: Reloded rounded out with additional materials, and characters backstories. To join this campaign, or if you're looking for other long-term adventures for D&D 5e campaigns to have a good time in. Sacramento County based group, open to online players. This is a long term campaign. We will go through the campaign books, starting with Out of the Abyss, and likely run some homebrewed stories as well Homebrew characters are okay, as long as they are balanced and lore-friendly.  I am looking for my Co-DM to help me run my campaign.

Elaria: Breaking the Chains Elaria is a land of powerful kingdoms, ancient magic, and prosperity built upon slavery. Humans, orcs, beastkin, prisoners, and countless others are bought and sold while those in power grow wealthy from their suffering. Within the slaves social circle classes have been established, the house slaves see themselves as better then those who work the grounds and so on. The party begins as ordinary adventurers with no army, rebellion, or grand destiny. But as they travel across Elaria and witness the cruelty of its kingdoms, they will have opportunities to fight back. You will not start in a inn or town, it will be a suprise Freeing a few slaves can become rescuing a village. A rescued village can become allies. Allies can become soldiers and soldiers can become a rebellion. The players will build that rebellion themselves—recruiting allies, establishing bases, gathering resources, liberating territory, and deciding how far they are willing to go to end slavery. Eventually, Elaria's kings will learn their names. The only question is whether history will remember them as heroes, rebels, or something far more dangerous.
