Description

Hello!  Me and my friends are currently in search of a DM. We’ve all been playing for a minimum of ~1-3 years so we are all pretty knowledgeable about the rules and how our character sheets work. I would like to preface this by saying that majority (3/4 of us) are minors/ recently turned 18 and would prefer a dm that is not that much older than us. In terms of availability, the only day that we have in common for being off is Saturdays and timeslot that we all have is 7:00-10:00 EST. But as long as it is later in the day on Saturday, we are a bit more flexible so we could speak more about the time. We also prefer to play weekly. For the actual campaign and system we are all okay with DnD both 2014 and 2024 and a few of us are opened to a pathfinder campaign instead! We are all huge story people who like to create a lot of art, boards, and other small things to help immerse our characters into the world, and to us, a character’s backstory and lore is just as important as the character sheet. A 60/40 storytelling/roleplay to combat is the perfect mix for us. We are okay with joining preexisting groups or even campaigns, but we prefer to join af group that has ~5 people. Huge boundaries that we have is that in terms of the actual DM/group, communication is a must. We would rather this not be a transaction only group, we would rather also be friends with our DM and fellow players. Open communication is a must, while it isn’t necessary, matching our energy is preferable. DnD shouldn’t feel like a chore to attend to every week, but rather a fun event that we can all use to wind down. All of us are queer (and two of us are poc) in some manner, so also having a group that is open-minded about that is a non-negotiable. For the actual game, sexual content is not something we are comfortable with. And if fantasy racism is a thing, we prefer if it was toned down and not a constant thing. A less rigid dm style would be appreciated as well. In terms of actual gameplay, our primary source of communication would be through discord. For DnD our character sheets are on DnDbeyond, but we are open to trying out new things. We are all fairly knowledgeable about Roll20 as well. Sorry for the long yap, but small introductions from everyone in the group. My name is Chaos, 17 (18 this year) and genderfluid (any/all) I've been playing dnd for a long time (around 10 yrs +/- a few) I've dmed before, played pathfinder, and 2024/2014 isn't new to me. :^p Heyoo! You can call me Garbage, finally 18, pronouns are any/all. I've been playing DnD for about 2-3 years now? I've played both 2014 and 2024 but I've not gotten the chance with Pathfinders yet. Howdy! I’m K4TN1P_! Most call me Kat! Pronouns are any/all. This is my first year officially playing DnD but I’ve been working with the content for at least 2 years now. Played both pathfinder and DnD! I’m a lil’ bit of a storyteller and like to keep things fun and exciting!! :D Hai Hai! I’m Marlow (the person who wrote this) I’m 16 years old, and I’ve been playing DnD since 2022? Somewhere around that time! I’m a huge fan of anything fun and whimsy and I’m open to both DnD and pathfinder! My pronouns are they/them ^^

Hello! Me and a friend are looking for a D&D group in the Nashville area. I am willing to DM if we can't find one. We are 18 & 16 and would prefer people in our age range. I am likely to run from a campaign book. Which one is up to player preference. Please Dm me and if you're interested we can talk details. Time and day can be worked out. But likely will be after 5pm on days excluding Monday and Wednesday.

Newbie friendly
New players are welcome, and nobody expects you to know the rules beforehand.
Hello everyone, Alex here! I am a new GM on Start Playing, and I am looking for players for my mini campaign. I am hoping to become a full-time GM and figured this was the best way to start. A bit about me: I've been a GM for 7 years. I am an artist, illustrator, animator, voice actor, and writer. And I absolutely love roleplaying!  Game Premise: In the world of Anangnibi (pronounced Ah-nahng-nee-bee) there looms a threat to the local towns and villages outside of a major port city called Agonan Mizhakwad (pronounced Ah-goh-nahn Meez-hahk-wahd). Reports of attacks have become more frequent and many have claimed to see a flying creature up within the mountains. Maps indicate that there is an old fort that has been empty for quite some time in the area. The local authorities have put up a reward for heroes to go and investigate the area and find out what has been happening. You as the heroes will find yourselves walking into the mountains to find the old hold, and once you get there, you'll find out that you have gotten far more than you bargained for. Who, or what, awaits within the halls of old abandoned stone? And will you survive the secrets within? Or will you be claimed by death much the same as those of the poor raided villages? Death lurks here, cold and indifferent like the sitting stone. You will need your strength and wit if you want to survive. So be prepared to face the challenges and discover the mystery of what hides within the mountain stone. Game Price: $25 per person  Session count: 1-3 sessions Session length: 4-5 hours Player Character Level: 5 System: D&D 5E Sourcebooks accepted: PHB 14, XGE, TCE, VGM (Other sourcebooks are open to discussion) Homebrew and 3rd Party: Open to discussion More information and details about the game can be found here on the Start Playing post: https://startplaying.games/adventure/cmt21mabu0037l404tjn7c32u?ref=cmrmikhi800frl704k6ca84nl  Content warning: While I am a newbie player friendly DM/GM, the game I am running is a DEADLY game with a DEADLY dungeon; your characters have a high chance of dying. Please keep that in mind for this game. If you are not okay with character death, this may not be the game for you.  If you have any additional questions, please feel free to message me, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.  You can also get some more general information about me as a GM, as well as read previous player reviews through my Start Playing GM Profile here:  https://startplaying.games/gm/alexthedmpanda Looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Conversation, character and story take up most of the table time.
ABOUT: This adventure takes place in the Sansinukob Wildspace. This system has 13 planets, held together by a dead and forgotten god at the center. There are no suns here, only moons to illuminate every planet. Fifty years ago, a monstrous sea serpent named Bakunawa awakened from her slumber, consumed by endless hunger. She consumed all six moons above planet Tawalisi, one by one, until they were left in darkness for thirty years. Twenty years ago, the datu, Maximo Catubig, invented Bulan Lights, magical lamps that emit artificial moonlight, finally bringing light back to his people. They were a solace, soon placed in every home in Tawalisi. The people were finally able to thrive again, and Maximo helped pave the way to further technological advancement. However, decades of darkness had taken its toll; Some of the citizens of Tawalisi have become consumed by the same hunger that possessed Bakunawa, mutating their bodies and destroying their minds until all they can think about is eating the Bulan Lights. They will stop at nothing to consume all sources of moonlight, and will hurt and kill anything and anyone that gets in the way. Datu Maximo has called for help from all adventurers willing to listen. Assist him in installing these lights wherever he can, so he can save his people from being plunged into darkness again.
